The Rebon craft bakery is a symbol of a young family business that can deliver quality in quantity. The bread is excellent and not just when the shop opens, but the quality remains until the shop closes. Everyone is welcome, for a “zmorge”, or even a commuter who wants to enjoy a quick coffee at the tram stop. I have been a homeowner in this area for over 5 years and I am deeply pleased that such honest and passionate family businesses still exist. Also recommended is the homemade confit, which my wife particularly loves. Rebon also offers catering and should not be missed at small company events, weddings or birthday parties. In short. Craftsmanship, passion and attention to detail and have been successful for 8 years.

Not a bit of Paris in Basel! Never experienced such rude, arrogant and cheeky service. Quality is not worth a detour. The store probably won't be around much longer. To the owner's answer 1. We were alone in the store, only about 3 minutes in total 2. no questions were asked to us, so it was all lies; The woman simply seemed bored and frustrated and was arrogant, incomprehensibly very arrogant! 3. There are some Roger Federer in Switzerland, not just tennis players; I have 3 friends who are called like that...; I didn't even think about that. 4. I rarely or never have a bad day, but the woman who served us probably did; It's human, not so bad. Continued success and greetings

Good and fine bread. We have been customers from the start. Only when we lived nearby, but also now that we live in Riehen. Of course there is also delicious bread there, but feel free to come on Saturdays for fresh plaited bread (and others). Even if I forget to place the order for the next week, the flexibility is great and we don't have to starve ;)

It always smells wonderful at Rebons: we regularly enjoy the wonderful bread, the airy croissants, the delicate Sunday braids and the delicious sweets. We don’t want to be without “our” bakery in the neighborhood anymore! Rebons are friendly and helpful: When my parents were no longer allowed to shop for themselves during the first lockdown and missed the wonderful bread, Rebons delivered bread to their doorstep in the agglomeration every week without charging for travel costs.

Service extremely rude and arrogant. Doesn't wear a mask during a pandemic. Started to talk very unpleasantly when I pointed that out. Products are good, but they just lost a client today. UPDATE. I received a phone call at my work place (!) from the bakery threatening me with lawsuits.

Bakery art at its finest with a touch of Spain. Excellent breads, savory and sweet baked goods, made fresh from scratch; you can feel the difference there. The breads last up to a week...no comment! Great coffee and various Spanish products round off the extensive offering. Indoor and outdoor seating invites you to linger; what more do you want. My personal favorites: the Espresso and the Pain Royal.

I was just in the Rebon bakery and the service was friendly and personable. Now I'm at home and I'm eating the most delicious Thonweggli, hummus sandwiches and a top-class pastel de nata. I can only recommend a visit to everyone. I would love to come back and will definitely buy more than one Pastel de Nata :) Nice to have you; keep it up.

The Rebon craft bakery has been our “heart bakery” in Basel for years! We still buy the tastiest bread in town here, even though we don't actually live in the area anymore. Our children also really like the personal and warm atmosphere in the bakery when they are allowed to go to “their” baker. Five stars for this top bakery!

For me the best bakery. All sweets and bread always taste delicious. All products are fresh and made daily. Chocolate cake and white bread are particularly wonderful for me.

Since I heard a lot of good things about the Rebon craft bakery, I called to ask if there was a job available for my nephew, who is a trained baker. The lady then told me no and explained that I should inform myself first. I then asked for the name of the owner, perhaps there would be a chance to get to know him or her, but she told me no to that either and I don't even know why. All well and good, that's not so bad, I thought. I then wanted to ask if you had Ruchbrot and if you could pre-order it, but before I could ask, they simply said goodbye to me and hung up... I tried to call again to explain what else I wanted, but they took the phone up and just put it down again. So I think that's a disgrace and very disappointing.

Everything delicious and a really nice atmosphere!

Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience with the managing director, Melanie. An order: We ordered a birthday cake for our son. To do this, we provided Melanie with a picture of our dream cake two weeks before we picked it up. She assured us that they could recreate it like the picture. So far so good. When collecting on your birthday: In the bakery we were surprised with a completely different looking cake. The reasoning behind this was that something went wrong with the colors. These would have “melted” on the cake. So they had to bake a new cake. The result was a cake that looked completely different than the one we ordered. Only the desired shape (the number 5) was the same. Since we were now out of time and the festival was starting in 3 hours, we accepted it and left. Of course, our son was extremely disappointed when he saw the cake. After the festival: The next day I called Melanie by phone and asked her politely: a) what exactly was the reason why they baked a different cake and not the one agreed upon? (since we didn't understand their reasoning exactly right away) b) And above all: Why didn't they inform us in advance when the first attempt failed because of the colors? In this way we would most likely have found a solution that was satisfactory for both sides. The managing director's reaction: Melanie reacted to these questions extremely annoyed, rude and without understanding for our concerns. Melanie replied as follows: "Now I don't have to worry about it. You picked up the cake, you were 'enthusiastic' about it and you even made a photo of it. And now your five-year-old son doesn't think the color is nice, you can tell me ." Understandably, I was stunned by her reaction and barely got a word in edgewise because Melanie wouldn't let me finish. When I said that otherwise we would write a Google review, Melanie replied with "now you're not threatening me? Just be careful what you say". Melanie then said that she had customers in the store and didn't have time for it. And then she just hung up the phone. ***Conclusion*** Taste: The taste of the cake was okay. We have also tasted other products from the bakery in the past and the quality is right. Service and customer orientation: In my opinion, there is a lot of room for improvement here. Mistakes can happen anywhere and customers know that. Most of them also show understanding for this, as long as you get an adequate explanation for it. And that, for me, is the reason for the insufficient customer orientation. The question is not whether you make mistakes or not. The crucial question is how the bakery - in this case the manager - deals with it and how she appears to the customer. Instead of showing understanding for our concerns, she went on the offensive for no reason and showed a very indecent and non-customer-friendly side. We as customers regret this very much. We will never order anything from Melanie again and cannot recommend the bakery because you cannot rely on it.

I am very happy to have found a delicious shopping alternative in this store. Here you can taste real bakery craftsmanship. What's there doesn't exist anywhere else.
