Has Sofra in Basel

was my favorite kebab for years. But now significantly smaller portions at higher prices (11.- kebab) and different bread (no longer homemade?)

Following a call regarding information I was hung up on! Rude and disrespectful

Good value for money! Payed 11 CHF for a regular sized döner kebap (small would have been 9.50), which had lots of filling and a great, refreshing yoghurt sauce. The ambience isn’t very inviting, but the service is good and fast, and the opening hours are great. Would recommend for a simple, quick meal :)

This place is a place to feel good, everything is always freshly made, from fries to the kebab itself, nothing is ever already there or standing around all day. Things to appreciate.

The Dürüm costs 12.- and is as big as a small Dürüm in another shop for 8 francs. The Dürüm tastes ok. Salad looks very old. Better go to Steingrill.

Pizza was ok, nothing more...almost no meat, very unfriendly, arrogant and cheeky service... But never say thank you again

I'm visiting Basel and I found these restaurants by chance.... I have to make one thing clear - the man who served me was extremely nice. By the way, the food was very tasty 😋. In my opinion the restaurant is recommended.

£17.89, CHF 19.90 for burger, chips and drink. Because I ordered separately they charged me alot. The lady failed to mention they do menu 6 which is that but only 14.50 CHF. I feel robbed.

BE CAREFUL THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!! Don't order with them after late night in the evening, they are true SCAMMERS! I've ordered over Ubereats and then they called me saying I should cancel my order, also that they can't prepare my order like I wanted it, they couldn't separate the onions from the salad, then I said please don't send stuffs with plastic (bc of a rare allergy I havw to plastic) they said they couldn't make it, so I said ok bring the lamm with the rice and not the salad, we will fix the rest at home for me, the currier texted me saying the restaurant said they won't make my food and they gave hjm no explanations, 5 mins later the restaurant was clozed, then they charged me 30 CHF!!! I called today the restaurant saying I'll pass by and pick up the order I've paid because you guys said in the night I should cancel, the woman in the phone was rude and said Call On Monday the Cheff isn't here today, so I asked her so if today I order the same, will I have the same problem tomorrow???Then she wanted to end the call quickly saying she had customers to attend to... and what am I? HORRIBLE PLACE! REAL SCAMMERS!

Their staff and service showed extraordinary work today. The food I would rate 10 out of 10. Even though it’s a small restaurant you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Keep up the good work!

Food was really good and it was halal

I often ate there and just wanted to go to the toilet because I was doing an errand next door, then the manager charged me 2 CHF for it. A little tip: it's better to respond positively to friendly toilet requests, as this will only result in you losing valuable customers.

Good and solid kebab shop in Basel. The ambience is just typical, it's just not a 5 star restaurant. In addition, the service was decent and the taste of the kebab was really solid.

Long waiting times and quite unfriendly service. The quality of the food is not beyond reproach, but 12.- is rather a lot for a Dürüm of this size.

Very good food, top quality meat and the work is done very cleanly. The two young ladies were very friendly and accommodating.

The one younger lady who only works at lunchtime is the biggest catastrophe, cheeky, her tone doesn't adapt and she should be careful how she talks to customers in the future!

Inferior quality meat and extremely little of it. No sauce on the kebab pizza. So little meat, almost like a Magarita pizza.

Upon our arrival in Basel, festive and raining, and seeing the exaggerated prices of the nearby places, we finally decided to enter here and stop thinking about it. It's not exactly cheap (€10 for a kebab and almost €4 for a drink, for example), but they served us well and both the kebab and the pizza we ordered were delicious.

Will add picture next time I visit. It's an alright place, alright food and alright service. Nothing special but nothing really bad either. It's fine to visit it from time to time.

Kebab meat thin as paper and therefore dry. Pizza bland and too fatty. Hot dog Wienerli unappetizing. Eat somewhere else!

One of the best kebabs in Grossbasel (with SBB Döner). I always hope for an employee who always puts a lot of meat in me, unbelievable! I don't understand all the negative reviews.

Bad food I think that you just can't eat it

Small Kebab Place in Basel. Very expensive for the amount of food provided but that’s to be expected in Switzerland. The durum was quite good but nothing special. The sucuk pide though was dripping with fat and overall not a good experience so I would stay away from it. Overall there are definitely better places to be and eat in central Basel!

I'm eating doner Durum here right now. The employee said 11.50 when the menu said 10.50. I asked why.. he said like this at this hour. I didn't want to argue. I'm not worth a fucking franc, but damn it to him and his employers who turned a blind eye to him.

The Dürüm is often rolled so badly that everything flies out. Catastrophe, I'm coming for the bread AND the filling including meat and vegetables. True food waste, as the ingredients then fly to the ground every time, leaving only the yufka bread and the cocktail sauce. Since what feels like the hundredth extreme incident in this regard, I have now completely boycotted this place. For years I surprisingly tolerated it, but now I've had enough. It's a shame... By the way, contact tracing is also not being adhered to; so high potential for a Covid-19 hotspot.

There could be improvement when folding the kebab. In addition, the kebab skin is not always fully cooked. The staff is underpaid and therefore rude. Well, it was worth a try, but it will also have been the last attempt. Charm of a train station waiting hall and stressed staff. The kebab pizza wasn't really good, but it wasn't exactly a bargain either.

Apart from the fact that there is no good kebab in Basel anyway, you have to be very desperate to go to this shop. Simply bad in taste and horrible, sorry.

Consistently delicious falafel and vegan Döner wraps. Good size, freshly fried ingredients, decent range of salad and the yoghurt sauce is not too garlicky. Usually open til 2am with great, friendly and fast service

Decent fast food with broad schedules but not 24h24 as indicated here. The staff is not the most polite but efficient. Usually crowded with drunk people at night as it is open until 4am. I can not say how good the meat is, I only take pizzas and pides and they are fresh.

Unfriendly staff, offers no replacement for missing ingredients, quantity of meat below average, stomach ache a day later because the meat was probably not fresh. Never again!

Since the change in ownership, the quality of the food has improved somewhat, but the prices have increased. Only recommended if nothing else is open. I used to only go there because there was a kebab box for five francs.

The price for a kebab box for students and schoolchildren has unfortunately risen from 5fr to 8fr, otherwise very satisfied.
