It's been a long time since I've eaten something so delicious. The goat's cheese with the bacon dates as a starter was wonderful and the char as the main course was buttery and a poem. Super tasty and very nicely prepared. Very friendly and helpful service and a nice atmosphere. We'll definitely be happy to come back.

I recently had the best Zurich Geschnetzelte of my life at Haus zum Rüden. The meat was incredibly tender, the sauce was a dream - creamy and perfectly seasoned. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for true Swiss enjoyment. Simply great!❤️

I visited the restaurant in November 1980 with my wife on the way back to work in Tripoli. We had a fabulous meal with most charming staff. We were two of a few people there so our waiter asked if we would like ‘seconds’ to which we readily agreed. A truly unforgettable meal and thrilled that it appears still to be open over 40 years later!!

Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere and fantastic food. Starter: A mango papaya tartare with burrata and a chili cream Main courses: Ribeye steak with café de creme and a small portion of Zurich Geschnetzeltes with rösti. Dessert: White chocolate with fruit compote and basil ice cream My conclusion: Wow. The dishes were thought out and prepared with a lot of dedication. I particularly liked the Zurich Geschnetzeltes. Next time I'll order two plates of this wonderful dish and it's also my tip to every guest of this restaurant. Continued success C&M Your Khedate

Very rude waiter, he decided that it will be funny to make fun of me in front of my colleagues, even though it has him, who didn’t hear my question properly. Maybe they should improve their service. I don’t recommend this place.

Super cozy historic rooms in the middle of Zurich's old town. Sensational food and great service! Particularly recommended for medium to large group events.

This is a great place to taste traditional Swiss cuisine. The interior has preserved its original appearance well and is a place of cultural value. I've been to many places while living in Switzerland, but I was most satisfied with this one. The staff are also pleasant and friendly. Even if cocktails are not on the menu, you can order them if you specifically want them.

Arrived between lunch and dinner service so I was a told the “Snack Menu” was available. However, my waiter said if I wanted something in particular from the main menu he could check if the chefs could make it. But there was no need, I ordered the hamburger with truffle sauce which was exquisite! The accompanying fries were perfectly crispy and abundant and it was wonderfully washed down with a delicious cold beer. The meal was served on the outdoor patio with a beautiful view and it was a lovely late lunch. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Unique charm with the beautiful solid wooden beams. Radiates a lot of heat. The food is excellent, it couldn't be better, starting with the crisp, fresh salad, the Zürcher Geschnetzelte tender with the perfectly crispy Rösti or the Wienerschnitzel in the right shape, wafer-thin and perfectly fried. Finally, the Thai basil ice cream. Top top! Gladly again immediately!!

This beautiful guild house on the Münsterbrücke bridge, only a stone’s throw from the town hall, dates back to 1348, as does the unique 11m-wide wooden barrel-vaulted ceiling in the Gothic Room. Dishes are based on seasonal ingredients and include classics such as Zurich-style veal and mushroom ragout in a cream sauce. Less expensive menu at lunchtime, plus a selection of dishes available in the modern bar with a terrace.

We used the services of the bar on the ground floor! Fantastic, direct, but not intrusive service and great Blues music as background! I recommend to everyone!!!

One of the best experiences I've ever had in Zürich. The Züri Gschnetzlets was sublime and very closely followed by the Rösti. I think the best version of this classic dish that I've ever had (and I grew up in Zürich)! The service was also impecable and prices are more than ok considering that Zürich is one of the most expensive cities in the world. They even treated my toddler to a complimentary piece of chocolate cake. I really can't praise/recommend this restaurant enough!

Renowned guild house with a long tradition and history. The vaulted wooden ceiling with the carved beam heads on the first floor in particular looks very impressive. The food from the kitchen is also highly recommended. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

The waiters are well trained and vey friendly, we felt spoiled. The menu was excellent and made it difficult to make a choice. The quality of foods was great and there are plenty of vegetarian options as well as local ingredients. The location is stunning with a great view over the old town and Limmat. One of the most traditional restaurants in Zurich... not cheap but everything is great

It was a good location to go for a leisurely walk as it was by the river. The menu was classic Swiss food (which locals enjoy during the season!), and the beef dish was especially delicious. The service was good, and the music selection inside had a nice atmosphere. The price is a bit high, but I am very satisfied with the taste, atmosphere, and service. A perfect restaurant to spend a wonderful night on a special day while traveling in Zurich.

This is a good restaurant that I always visit every time I travel to Zurich. Especially the white asparagus special in April and the perfect tableside dessert service have created my beautiful memories of Switzerland.

Friendly and prompt attentive service. We had casesars bowl and beef tartar for starters, red mullet risotto and pike for mains and muille fuille and sorbet for dessert. all lush.

What can we say but 5* - we’ve been to the Rüden before for dinner & also chose it as our wedding reception in Jan ‘22. Working with the staff (esp. Robin) during the planning process made it all so easy, and during our day everything ran smoothly & to a high quality. The green room is so charming for an aperitif & the main room for dinner is just as enchanting with its wooden surrounds. Only unique thing about this place is the location and probably it's history. When it comes to food though you will find other places where price and quality are a better choice.

Great food, really fine. Wine prices remain correct considering it's downtown Zürich. Only little remark: baby chairs would be nice. When a family goes there for a special event, it happens that there are small little ones

We had dinner in the Gothic Hall last night and really enjoyed it. The hall itself seems very cozy, the history of the restaurant and the building is clearly visible and the location right on the water with easy access is great! With a little greeting from the kitchen we started straight away and the standard of the food was exceeded with every course. The food is locally and seasonally sourced and combines traditional Zurich cuisine with a modern touch, which more than lives up to the self-imposed mission to preserve Zurich's drinking and eating culture. The lady who served us was witty and charming, which further underlined the already cozy, relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. Unfortunately we forgot to ask her name, we hope the praise reaches her again this way. All in all, a very successful restaurant concept with great service and an appropriate, very good price-performance ratio. The house has Michelin stars and Gault Milleau points, but this is not explicitly boasted about, which leaves a very down-to-earth, friendly impression. The service is of a very high standard, but with a pleasant, relaxed manner. An absolute recommendation for a chic, relaxed evening in Zurich.

Very nice restaurant with a very rustic atmosphere. A nice selection of dishes and absolutely delicious. The waitresses were very friendly, but sometimes you had to wait a long time before you could order or pay.
