Hirschen in Lenk

Nice stylishly decorated restaurant, nice pictures on the walls.

We didn't arrive at the Hirschen restaurant until 9 p.m. on Thursday. We booked in advance for a fondue by phone. When we arrived our table was already nicely prepared. The fondue was absolutely amazing, incredibly creamy and with a very special aroma. The service was top and the young gentleman was very personable. You can tell straight away that he does his job with a lot of love. Thank you for the great evening and continued success.

Yves is still waiting for his gordon blö. Seams on the placemat were a little frayed. I still have half a burger. The will be milled in this afternoon

The table was not yet available at the time of reservation for the second shift. About 20 minutes later we were able to sit down. There were 9 of us and we all ordered burgers. We waited over an hour until we could eat. Guests who arrived later received their dinner before us. Burgers were good.

When we arrived in Hirschen, we asked about a Zvierikärtli. That didn't exist. The extremely friendly service employee tells us that she will make a plate for us in the kitchen with the cheese and meat available. Lo and behold, it looked good and was very fine, thank you. The restaurant is beautiful, but I think you could get a little more out of it with a good offering, e.g. a selection of aperitifs with a good glass of wine, etc.

Came here for lunch for a birthday celebration and the staff went above and beyond to make it special! Everything was delicious, especially the Cordon Bleu and the fondue.

Actually, I should give a maximum of 3 stars for our evening, but we were probably just unlucky and had a bad day, so I turn a blind eye. The tables are occupied twice, from 6 p.m. and from 8 p.m. We were there at 6 p.m. But it took forever for the food to arrive (1 hour after arrival), and the dessert didn't arrive until 8:30 p.m., after 2.5 hours. We spent the evening waiting and the 8 p.m. guests piled up between the tables. Very unpleasant - I don't want to experience that again. If you want to make money twice, you have to have the processes under control. The food was OK (the risotto was sosolala), but not exceptional. You can put together the burgers yourself - nice idea, but some of the ingredients and side dishes weren't right for us. It is difficult to judge the service, they were completely overwhelmed by the situation and stressed. Conclusion: It's probably completely OK on a normal day, but I won't go there myself anymore.

Our experience: We have 30 minutes! Waited at the table without anyone coming from the service until we went to ask if we were getting a menu and drinks? In the meantime, the people sitting next to us showed pity for us and pushed their menu cards over to us, thank you. The starter of garlic baguette was unfortunately rubbery and cold (I assume it had been thawed beforehand?) In addition, a starter was forgotten and we had to wait for it. But soup was good. The main courses were very good. Conclusion, unfortunately not everything is as expected. And despite the hectic pace, we think something like that shouldn't be happening...or the full moon was to blame...

Unfortunately, the food wasn't good at all and the prices were way too high!!! For example: Described on the menu as “fine bread croutons”, in the end there were cheap soup pearls on the starter salad. The garlic bread tasted like bouillon, not garlic. Service was at least very friendly. Will avoid this restaurant in the future. 👎🏼

The food was very good and very reasonably priced for this quality. The service was very attentive and friendly. Maybe you could decorate the white and empty walls, which would make the whole thing appear warmer. We would love to come back and look forward to the delicious menus!! Thank you for your commitment. Relaxed atmosphere but service takes a little while. The burgers offered are à la carte. They have a dedicated menu for burger orders (only in German). The burgers are well stocked. The Black Angus steak is great! On the other hand, normal beef steak leaves something to be desired.

The new interior gives the restaurant a modern and cozy atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, which made our visit particularly pleasant. But the highlight was definitely the burgers! They were delicious, juicy and cooked perfectly. The selection of burger variations was impressive. We really enjoyed our evening here and will definitely be back to try more of the great menu. Absolutely clear recommendation!

We went there this evening with my children, my mother and my sister. The food was excellent and the service staff was super friendly. We had nothing to complain about at all. The children were immediately given something to paint, super family friendly! We will be back definitely.

Very authentically prepared food, there is nothing to complain about here, everything tasted wonderfully fresh. We found the price performance to be completely okay.

We were 2 families who had dinner at the Hirschen. Everything tasted delicious and the service was also great. Very child friendly. We are always guests and will come again.

A nice little gem in the heart of town. I went for lunch with a friend on a sleepy Sunday. Not sleepy in the restaurant, though. Quite a few patrons. If calf liver (kalbleberli) is on the menu, I'll usually order it. I resist sometimes because it's a popular dish in Switzerland, and it is heavy on the calories. ;) However, when well prepared, it's the nicest Swiss meal on a menu (IMHO). Hirschen is no exception... Tender strips of liver in a butter pepper sauce accompanied by a generous portion of rösti. Make sure you get a salad to make it a little healthier ;) Looking over at the table next to us, we found that 2 of the 4 clients had also ordered it. Always a good sign! Our server was very kind and friendly, and she seemed to enjoy helping people choose their meal. As my German is not great, very appreciative that she spoke English. Thank you. Cheers to the chef on making our Sunday lunch a delight before heading back home. You can also build your own burger, which I will try next time, or the time after that! It's definitely worth the return trip. Bon appétit !

Bad dog unfriendly and people unfriendly it is a matter of the manager in terms of price and guest friendly so I do not know the company and therefore I do not support it no go. Now 5 days later nothing has changed, again denied by staff who are not at work, dog has to be on a leash while other dogs are running loose. Lisa does not cause any problems if she is not fed adequately, she gets everything from the kitchen and that causes problems then I lose the overview and Lisa on a leash is not an option Lisa has no punishment and other dogs that are not on a leash are brought In general, Lisa's unrest forces itself on the lady and she has no peace. I will not recommend your pub restaurant and will avoid it as long as you adhere to this standard, kind regards, Paul

Reserved a table at 20:15 (which wasn’t ready when we arrived) and got our mediocre burgers at 22:00. Won’t be coming back. Update after the response: Haha yeah, first it’s simply not true that we got the burgers 30min after ordering but it IS true that it also took way too long until we could order, which doesn’t make anything better. And for the offered coffee and ice creams: You wanted to charge for them after it was offered and went to discuss with a colleague before you agreed to offer it as promised.

We booked a table for 2 people at 6:00 p.m. but actually didn't want to go until 6:30 p.m. But this was not possible because of the two service times. I can well understand that it makes sense to occupy the tables twice. In my opinion, the staff was unfriendly when making the reservation. When we got to the restaurant promptly at 6 p.m. we got our table. However, we had to wait a whopping 30 minutes before we could order our drinks. Guests who arrived after us were served faster and received the card immediately. When we asked for the food menu while ordering drinks, we were put off and told that there were no tickets at the moment. They gave all the cards to guests who came after us… Then canceled the order and left! Who knows we would probably have had to wait at least an hour for the food.

It makes sense as a restaurant to give out the table twice in one evening. We also knew that we had to be outside again at 8 p.m. But if the actually very good food is left somewhere, that's a shame. Then the risotto becomes dry and the cream schnitzel is "ready" Restaurant was full. Tip: There may be less stress in the 2nd range from 8 p.m

We stopped today to eat for the first time. Magnificent surprise: “Val’s liver and Rœsti” So I must say that I have never eaten such good liver and such good Rœsti. Congratulations ! Restaurant to recommend.

Unfortunately the visit did not live up to our expectations. Since the restaurant was full, we had to eat in the pub (so that wasn't a problem, we were told on the phone when we made the reservation, but it is relevant to understand the rating) The order was taken fairly quickly and brought to the table. Unfortunately, the food was no longer warm but already lukewarm if not cold when she came to the table. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired... After waiting ages for someone to come to our table so we could order the bill, but no one came, we got up and went to the bar. (By the way, the bar wasn't overly full and the waitress was always behind the counter) We then wanted to order the bill at the bar and were told to go back to the table and wait, because she still had to enter something - which is what it was always is... 🤷🏻‍♂️ We then went back to the table, but we could see her taking orders from other people who had also gone to the bar and entering them into the computer. At some point the bill came and we were able to pay. What also contributed to a star deduction was the behavior of the waitress towards the customers and also her colleagues. A new employee was introduced and, in our opinion, some of them were treated very harshly. You don't have to treat anyone with kid gloves, but at least you have to be friendly, everyone had their first day... We noticed, among other things, that the new employee forgot to take the order at another table. The people then came to the bar and wanted to order there and the experienced employee then said to the guest: “Yes, I sent my colleague, didn’t she come? That's not possible, I have to talk to her later." Of course she's right, but that's something that shouldn't be said in front of the guest or to the guest... Unfortunately, it doesn't speak for the restaurant because the staff is ultimately part and, among other things, the figurehead of the restaurant.

Actually, we ate well. There is nothing wrong with the Rösti and Cordon Bleus. We had a good meal. But the service was bad. We had to ask to get something to drink. She only noticed that she had uncovered the napkins without napkins when we pointed this out. In the end the calculation was also wrong. The drinks were missing. We also brought this to their attention and only received a mumbled sorry. You can expect more at the usual prices for the Lenk.

A rustic, cozy restaurant with great service, good food and a very nice wine list. I have a feeling I'll be eating there more often :)

Great pub/restaurant in front of Hotel Sternen. They serve typical Swiss food for very fair pricing. The meals were very good and tasty, we'll surely get back there once we have the opportunity. Friendly staff!

We (2 people) were there at 6:30 p.m. At 7:05 p.m., after intervening, we were finally able to place an order. The salad arrived at 7:35 p.m. (it was sandy). The main course arrived at 8:20 p.m. This one was delicious; Compliments to the kitchen! The wine we ordered was ultimately missing from the bill. But we still paid. There were enough staff (4 in service) and not that many guests (not all tables were occupied at the same time). The staff seemed to us to be completely stressed and poorly organized (who does what). Tables were not covered and set again. Customers who had not reserved were turned away. It's still a wonder to me when everyone at a table of 12 (all ordered a la carte) got their food. After our meal we took a short walk and when we stopped by again they still had nothing

For years we have always stopped by here on our trips to Lenk to eat a burger. It's been great so far. But unfortunately this time was the last time. The mood among the employees was very tense and hectic. Even though there weren't very many guests, the serving staff was stressed. When we sat down, we were immediately brought a drink from another table. We each ordered a burger. One burger had fake meat. This was easily rectified and we were treated to a small aperitif. Unfortunately, neither the beef burger (lots of hard and partly fatty pieces) nor the pullet pork (was more like shredded and very fatty meat) were tasty. The wrong meat (and more expensive ones) was charged for in the bill. But we accepted because the second beer was forgotten. We will therefore be forced to look for another restaurant in the village in the future.

We ask for water and were charged 5CHf! Even though we also ordered beer and wine. It should be illegal! I won't be going back.

(06/06/2022, 2:45 p.m.) After waiting 15 minutes on the terrace, I went to the restaurant. The waitress was arguing with the chef. I apologized for the disruption and asked for the ice cream card. Apparently there are none in Hirschen... She wrote down the varieties for me. We left the Hirschen without ordering and went to the anchor opposite. Everything worked perfectly there.

Miserable place. As an older guest you are discriminated against. Other guests who arrived later and ordered later systematically received their food before us.

Very great atmosphere in the pub, you really feel very comfortable! Very entertaining, good music selection and an even better atmosphere, as expected. The drinks are an absolute highlight, very tasty and generous! The manager of the bar who served me well was very friendly and accommodating. A service like this is very rare these days! Kudos to her, she makes a very professional impression! You'll be happy to come back here again and again, see you soon!

A lot of staff, which is very good at first. But unfortunately mistakes and misunderstandings also arise there. I ordered a salad as a starter. Unfortunately it never arrived. Burgers were well made and filling. For an advertised premium piece of meat, it seems to be rather mass-produced. A pity! No napkins on the table. A must for burgers.

Had lunch there on 3 days. The food is always good, but the service is worse than bad. The waiter came several times to ask what we ordered. In addition, there is a very long waiting time. We are looking for another restaurant for the rest of our stay.

I think that Hirschen is certainly one of the best restaurants in the area. An excellent selection, wonderful dishes and a good price/performance ratio characterize the restaurant. However, I have to make compromises when it comes to staff. We weren't really attentive and sometimes even seemed unmotivated.

Large selection of burgers, plus well-known Swiss cuisine. When the restaurant closes you can easily move on to the bar, which is located in the same building.

Great bar, but the music was pretty bad. Even after asking several times, the desired song (go down deh ft. sean paul) wasn't played, just stupid Swiss music.. what a shame 😥

Today at 12 o'clock we waited 15 minutes on the route, no one came, just a few smoking teenagers. When I went in and asked if I could order inside or if I would be served outside, I was politely informed that the service would be outside. When I waited another 5 minutes and no one came, we left. I think it's a shame that Lenk doesn't seem to need any guests.

Poor service, the food ordered was not fully served and the arguments between the staff could be heard by the customers. The restaurant had potential, which unfortunately is not being used.

We ate the cordon bleu. That was delicious. The vegetables were aldente and very good. Fries were tasty and crispy. The quantities are correct. Too bad the white beer is not on tap. To recommend.

Was the first, but not the last, time here. Food was good, I think the wine selection for Lenk was great. Many wines are available by the glass, and not just Chasselas, Pinot Noir or Dole...I think it's great. Plus charming service. Gladly again.

Pretty terrace, at lunchtime choice of several small menus, a la carte portions are not very generous, insufficient choice of desserts.

The food at the Huus am Arnensee is no longer what it once was. We had to wait almost 2 hours for food today. Food was cold, salad was sandy and rotten, meat was shoe sole... never again!!! New guests had their food in front of us. Children didn't get anything in advance... I've never really experienced anything like that. It would be better to see someone like the previous ones there again.

A relaxing destination. Very nice circular hiking trail around the lake. Also good for fishing. Restaurant is only recommended. Friendly service and very good food.
