Hotel room - no review as not used Food: over the top! As a starter I had Lenker salmon trout, with salad, toast and butter and an incredibly well-seasoned dressing, which was also a pleasure to look at on the plate. You are what you eat! I could have literally bathed in it! As a main course, perfectly fried Lenker beef ribeye, extremely seasoned, beautifully presented and simply heavenly good. Service: personal, friendly and very attentive and humane. Cell phone flight mode: I was informed about this before I arrived and I thought this house rule was brilliant! Compassion and understanding comes when you know why this rule exists. It's really enriching to take some time out and consciously talk to the other person at the table, the boss and everyone you meet in a restaurant and exchange ideas and get to know each other. We had very good and surprisingly profound conversations. This is how I like eating out. All in all, an enriching, profound and enjoyable evening! Thank you Reto and team for your work!

From the humorous greeting to the friendly service to the personal farewell with a handshake from the boss, everything was just right! The Lenker trout was a highlight and the hit of the day, veal cordon bleu, was excellent! We can only recommend you and especially being freed from cell phone gawkers instead of looking at what they are eating and talking to each other was a pleasure!!

My impression is mixed. The food was ok, average. Selection of vegetarian menus a bit old-fashioned with vegetable and salad plates. The cell phone ban... We were made aware of it by 3 different people within a minute. When one of us used our cell phone in airplane mode for something (yes, you can use it for x number of things without needing reception) he was yelled at. Sorry, but that is completely disrespectful. Unfortunately, this tone was still common in school 30 years ago, but even there a different tone now prevails. And we were paying guests, not naughty students... But if you read the boss's responses to bad reviews, you can see where the more or less passive aggressive attitude comes from. Since the service was attentive and the food was ok, still 3 points

For us one of the best restaurants on the Lenk. Cozy, friendly, great food, peace and quiet from your cell phone. We can absolutely recommend it!

The food is very tasty and all the employees are very nice. There is a sauna where you have a perfect view of the Simme. The portions of the food are very good for the price. The cream schnitzel is very tasty.

Great for switching off for a while, but please note that people who like to sing on their cell phones can leave straight away because there is a ban here, but the staff are all the friendlier and we always enjoy coming here.

We had a lovely time at the Hotel Simmen Falls and would love to come back. We booked our stay at short notice, but everything was ready and we felt comfortable and welcome. The team was very nice, the room was larger than average for a double room in Lenk and the breakfast also tasted very good. Many thanks to the whole team

My father and I were able to enjoy a delicious dinner. The welcome and the staff at the Simmen Falls restaurant were very attentive and accommodating. The food was wonderful! It's also good to leave your cell phone in your pocket for a while in flight mode. We'd love to come back!

The location would be great we did on January 15th. a hike to the Simmen Falls and wanted to have something to drink and eat afterwards, unfortunately the rest was closed, although it said otherwise on the internet! A whole group also arrived by bus and they didn't understand it, so it was better to plan differently and not rely on the home pace!!!!!! A pity

Today after our winter hike we wanted to have lunch in the restaurant, open according to the website, but unfortunately we found the doors closed.

The restaurant is located directly on the cross-country ski trail. Our group registered in advance by telephone. The welcome was okay but nothing more. As a sports person you expect a filling dish and a decent portion. My porcini mushroom ravioli for CHF 25.00 was at most an appetizer! How do you want to recharge your batteries for more cross-country skiing kilometers? Price-performance ratio is not right here at all. If you're not hungry, you'll definitely enjoy it! Or if you would like to spend more money and can order additional courses and desserts...

My partner and I went to the Simmen Falls restaurant today (Friday, December 29th, 23) after a nice walk and it was simply wonderful. I've been coming to Lenk on vacation since I was a child and a visit to the Simmen Falls and the restaurant is always part of it. My life partner has also been there for several years. We always feel very comfortable in the Simmen Falls restaurant, the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. The cell phone-free zone was a bit unusual at first, but as guests we happily adapt to the habits and rules of the inn and it's second nature to us. That's why I can't understand certain unpleasant comments here at all. It's always very relaxing when your cell phone doesn't always ring while you're eating or sitting together. Of course, we have also experienced that the staff were at their limit due to the large number of visitors and not every visitor had the understanding for the wait. But the staff was always friendly towards us in such situations. However, you should have enough time and understanding during the holidays if it takes a little longer. Dear Simmen Falls team, please keep it up and don't let yourself be put off, you're all great 😘👍🏻

Great place on a great location.

You will be given a very warm welcome at the Rest and Hotel Simmen Falls. The location is very special, especially near the Simmen Falls, attractive for various sports opportunities in summer and winter and there is a music festival every year in summer. If you want to eat well in Lenk, the Simmenfall restaurant is one of the best addresses. With a lot of love for the product, always fresh and beautifully prepared. Everyone is sure to find something to suit their taste on the menu. The friendly staff accompanies the food with humor and professionalism. When we are in Lenk, the rest of Simmenfall is part of it. In Simmenfall, WiFi is a free zone, people talk to each other. 👍😋

I wish there were more places/space like the Hotel/Restaurant Simmen Falls. Men/women should ask themselves whether this is still “normal” - no longer enjoying their time without a cell phone?! As a family, we remember the team as very accommodating and friendly. The host was so friendly and told us his story about how it came about. It was very exciting and totally understandable. Thank you very much for everything and we will definitely be back!

After a wonderful hike, I wanted to stop at the restaurant to round off the day. A little exhausted, I went into the building to order. There were posters outside that said people should not use their cell phones, but I (and obviously many other guests on the terrace) only took this as a suggestion or suggestion. Nevertheless, I left my cell phone in my pocket so I could take part in this event. As I entered the building, an “alarm” suddenly went off, whereupon an employee rather boldly told me and an older couple that something about us was “shining.” Of course, I then switched off my cell phone completely, but as long as the cell phone ban is not clearly advertised and implemented outside, one could perhaps try to first politely point out the rules to the (visibly exhausted) customers before using any sensors to look for culprits. I would have liked a different approach better here.

Had a good time, partly thanks to the friendly owner. Located next to the beautiful waterfall, this hotel was our start and end point of our 3-day hiking route. Upon arrival, we were informed that the airplane mode on our phone was required. This generally created a relaxed atmosphere on the terrace. The owner also allowed us to use the 'hotpot' (homemade jacuzzi) and sauna on site, which was a very nice end to our stay. The rooms were neat and the sanitary facilities clean.

Beautiful location, but unfortunately the restaurant is now run by a somewhat idiosyncratic man who tries to fulfill his mission in a way that I find very unpleasant. Plain language: Of course, an innkeeper is free to declare his restaurant a cell phone-free zone. However, it would then be appropriate to warn the daily customers with appropriate prohibition signs and, if necessary, to prevent them from sitting at one of the tables and ordering something. The "Switch off at the Simmenfall, relax in flight mode" posters are obvious, but we read them more as an invitation to go on vacation and not as a missionary's religious commandment. We were accordingly snubbed by the harsh “Cell phone off, forbidden!!!” the service specialist. The problem: After a long hike, we ate an ice cream in the Simmen Falls restaurant, but also had to buy tickets for the return journey by train and bus. If we had known about the BAN on cell phones, we would have happily skipped the ice cream. Clearer communication in advance would be clearly preferable to the hostility shown AFTER the order is placed.

Amazing food and great service!! The perfect place to disconnect without phones, I like the concept of the restaurant. We had the chance to be in direct contact with nature.

We slept on the dorm room. Perfect beds and clean linnen. Shower and toilet good. The breakfast and diner were good. Perfectly made chicken. Also the owner and staff were very friendly. Thanks for sauna and hottubbb. Btw, digitale detox. So no phone allowed, perfect!

Had lunch with my family today. Everything was top service, ambience and food. Everything was fresh and seasoned perfectly for our taste. Price/performance absolutely PERFECT! The hotel is in a quiet location where you can simply enjoy and switch off. I can only recommend it to EVERYONE, it's worth it. And to all THOSE who give a bad review because you have to put your cell phone on airplane mode and the staff and owners are insulted and rude, that's ridiculous!!! If you are guests then behave like that. Or would you be happy if guests came to you and insulted you and did whatever they wanted?! I do not think so. Take a look at yourself. And if you can't be without your cell phone for a second then move on or leave the bad reviews alone. With this in mind, a big thank you again to the Simmen Falls team. Will definitely come back.

It's a shame, it used to be a pleasant place. Today, guests are no longer treated as such, but rather as potential criminals with their cell phones. Electromagnetic radiation and stuff. I'm just wondering how the credit card terminal works, since you can still pay with your credit card at the seat. Does the WiFi in the Simmen Falls work without electromagnetic radiation? Be that as it may, without me in the future.

Very unfriendly, typical tourist restaurant where the wealth of the customer doesn't matter as they probably won't come back. When we asked for a seat, the answer was, no chance, even though there were many tables available. There was no interest in offering us a place to eat.

Owner randomly condoles people on Facebook who have a different opinion on climate protection. Apparently the hotel owner is not aware of the negative effects that climate change has on our nature - a shame.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere on the terrace seems a bit shabby. The red plastic chairs and tables have become a bit run down due to the weather and therefore fit the otherwise beautiful building. Unfortunately, what feels like 100 signs that cell phones are not allowed and should be put into airplane mode completely destroy the ambience. In my opinion, the sliced ​​cheese & dried meat platter is too simple for the price of 24.00. The prices for the drinks are also excessive for me. The waiter was very nice and did his job absolutely brilliantly. What unfortunately overshadowed the whole stay was the rude way we were greeted at the entrance when we wanted to go to the toilet. Before we were allowed to enter, it was checked whether we had put our smartphones into flight mode or turned them off.

Friendliness is a foreign word here... People are loudly insisting that you definitely have a cell phone and that you should immediately set it to airplane mode. With a subliminal tone as an indirect threat of expulsion and the comment that the boss is just behind us and is susceptible to electromagnetic radiation...cough the boss is wearing a T-Touch watch with a GPS function that cannot be switched off...that was credibility get there quickly. It's an absolute joke that the boss then installs a deck chair in the playground and enjoys smoking a cigarette while bathing in the sun. NEVER AGAIN, THANK YOU!

Really like home. Rooms are wonderful, great mattresses, slept like a king. The food was great and delicious, compliments of the kitchen!! Went there to eat at lunchtime, the server was friendly at the beginning but wrote down 1 dish incorrectly and completely forgot 1. When you asked, you were accused of making false allegations. I was looking forward to my chocolate soufflé...

One can argue about the attitude of the aluminum hat wearers. As long as you leave your cell phone and other mobile devices in your pocket, you will receive reasonably friendly service with good food. :) Big minus: If you state "Open daily" on the website, then you would have to stick to it. If you take the hour walk from Lenk-Dorf, you will be very disappointed in a closed company. Especially when this has (according to your own statement) been handled this way for 30 years and is still not being communicated.

Personal welcome from the boss with time to chat. Fast, very friendly service, as fast as your funky Sportiva running shoes. And also excellent Wienerschnitzel. We were there twice and will be back.

I recently went to the Simmen Falls restaurant in Lenk and I have to say that I absolutely loved it! From the atmosphere to the service, everything was perfect. The reception was very friendly and the staff always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The menu offers a large selection of dishes, of which I can particularly recommend the high sirloin steak with Bernaise sauce and the optimally golden brown baked French fries. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the Bernaise sauce was delicious and went perfectly with the meat. The fries were crispy and delicious and a perfect complement to the steak. The wine we drank with dinner was an organic Spanish wine and it was excellent. It matched our dishes perfectly and I appreciated the fact that the restaurant offers sustainable and eco-friendly options. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and the view of the Simmen Falls was breathtaking. Overall, I had a really great evening at Simmen Falls Restaurant and I will definitely go there again next time I'm in Lenk. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope you get the chance to try it out too.

Actually a very nice place with a cozy terrace and a beautiful view. Unfortunately, not all of the staff were friendly. The food was good. At the children's menu (chicken nuggets). These are completely unsuitable for children, although homemade they are rock hard - even a dog would have broken its teeth.

We came over for dinner last Sunday evening. Without reservation. The restaurant was completely full but we were still offered a place at the regulars' table. Despite the hectic pace, we received friendly and prompt service. The food was tip top. The omnipresent shortage of skilled workers seems to be a problem here too. All the more hats off to how people are coping with the situation. We'd love to come back.

Midsummer with Luka In advance it was said that you could only book the concert WITH food... then in the evening those guests who were only there for the concert! Hmmm… The meal was promised as a three course BBQ menu 1st course salad - oh well, the leaf lettuce had probably been in the sauce for an hour and was therefore sloppy, but we were hungry enough so it was okay 2nd course / main course —- quite tasty so far but NOT what I expect from BBQ and therefore “bought” it... a shame... rather stingy for a hungry young man! 3rd course —- chocolate mousse in a plastic cup…??? Really now... Far from the expected “operating philosophy” - manufacturing costs below -.50 if I dare to say so. —- also rather disappointing! If you consider having paid 88.-... visitors who came just for the concert were charged 44.- -- then the menu was also 44.- -> this menu was NEVER worth the price! The staff very friendly!! 👍🏼🥰 The boss in a sweaty suit with visible sweat marks and dirty shorts as if he had just come back from a hike… not very appealing! 😳😢 The atmosphere was great - despite the rain!!! Not fair treatment and unfriendly attitude. Very touristy.

Unfortunately the reception wasn't really friendly. After the service staff walked past us several times without paying us any attention, the first question, without greeting us, was whether we had any cash with us. We are aware that the current situation in the catering industry is not exactly easy at the moment. As a paying guest you shouldn't have the feeling that you're getting on anyone's nerves. Friendliness could possibly compensate for longer waiting times and leave a very good impression on the guests. We had the feeling that due to the location of the restaurant we were being treated unfriendly because we didn't seem to have to rely on it.

If you are greeted unfriendly by the service staff when you arrive on the terrace, it will leave a bad aftertaste. But that wasn't all. When the food was served, the service staff asked us twice whether we wanted their place. I did my apprenticeship in the hospitality industry years ago. In my opinion, such behavior is an absolute NOGO!!! It's nice that there are still restaurants that don't rely on guests.

We were here with the motorhome and had motorhome dinner. The food was very tasty and super good! The food was delivered very warm and we were able to enjoy it comfortably with the good wine. Recommended!

The hotel and the entire stay gave me a lot of energy. We booked one night, including a barrel sauna. The sauna was fun and the rooms are simply but lovingly furnished. Since it has everything, we didn't miss anything. The staff is very nice, friendly and accommodating. The menu is varied and leaves you wanting more. We decided on a fondue and it was just amazing. Being offline during the stay was a real relief. For us it's very clear...we'll see each other again soon!

Nice service, good price-performance ratio

After a wonderful walk to the Simmen Falls, we wanted to have a leisurely lunch. The numerous voting banners against the Covid law would be ok in themselves, everyone has their opinion, but the intrusive anti-vaccination and anti-measure boards in front of the entrance were too much of a good thing. We then had a very good meal at Lenk itself. A pity! We won't be going there again next summer either.

The anti-vaccination boards and the landlord's skepticism about measures at the entrance put us off deeply!

Very good food. There is also a good offer outside of lunch and dinner times. Friendly and local service. Partly Covid certificate checked inadequately or not checked at all. Cell phones and their internet radiation are not welcome in and around the restaurant. Very special but you won't be asked about it if you're still on your cell phone.

After two years of forced abstinence from restaurants, it's a real balm for the soul. A top kitchen in a very homely atmosphere that is still very family friendly.
