Holy Cow in Zürich

One of the best burgers I've tried. I ordered the Yo Ginza Burger from the menu and it did not disappoint. Tasted very fresh and high quality. The food was also brought to the table quickly after ordering. Very reasonably priced at around 21CHF for a burger, fries and a drink. Absolute recommendation!

Very bad quality meat, classic minced/burger meat scam.

Simply the best value burger in Zurich. Please skip the foreign chains and go local. Everything feels and tasted fresh. You sense that there‘s more to it than fast food. Student menu is 15.- CHF and you can get unlimited refills with that. There‘s so much diversity, but even the affordable burgers are delicious.

Good atmosphere with decent burgers. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. Tried the Elvis burger and the cheese blew my mind away. Recommended if you are in the neighborhood 👌🏼

We got a table on Sunday lunchtime, otherwise it was full. Service very friendly and helpful. Burger beef and cheese were really tasty together with the fries, even if you have to get used to the caraway on the burger buns. Price is top for Zurich. Just test it out.

Wide variety of burgers to choose from the menu. Fries are perfect! Budget friendly and delicious. The staff is super friendly, especially lady Margarita, who is so warmharted, will help you with your choice. I always go there when I'm in Zürich.

Since it had a good score, we decided to try it. Unfortunately, it fell below our expectations. It's safe to say that we couldn't taste the meat in the burger. Only the potatoes were good.

The restaurant has a very nice design and is comfortable to eat in. The food was quite nice but the chicken was a little dry but overall a nice experience.

Very delicious burger, a wide variety of choices. Enjoyed the most the one with avocado! Staff friendly and you get served in within a very few minutes. It would be appreciated if the place offered a free wifi. Prices for Zurich are considered reasonable.

Ze burger was absolutely magnificent and the taste was sensational the only not likable thing was that the patty was a bit dry on my cheese bacon burger although great atmosphere and great service.

I think bloggers and other reviewers are overestimating it. In Korea, even local handmade burger places taste this good. While eating other food in Switzerland, it was so delicious... I had a moment of 'aha'!!! But it was nothing more or less than a hamburger. The staff lady was very kind.

The fries were really small. The bread had a lot of salami and ham on one side and little on the other side.

Gourmet burger, nothing to do with McDonald's or A&W. The burgers are simply delicious. The meat cooked to perfection. The fries, the best I have eaten to date: crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. A real treat

Delicious burgers for good prices. The service is very fast and can also give recommendations. Unfortunately there are only limited seating options. At peak times, you have to wait until a space becomes available. I recommend taking a menu. The fries are very tasty :) There are also many vegetarian burgers to choose from! I always enjoy going there. Definitely better than McDonald's

Hello people reading this, my day got a lot better while I was here. Because I had a really tasty bacon avocado beef burger with cheddar. The employees welcomed us warmly and took our order. It took less than 10 minutes and my food arrived. Everything was fresh, you could taste it, and very tasty. I will come back and eat more burgers🍔. Thank you for this noble meal at Holy Cow Zurich. Service super fast and attentive. The cheeseburger is fine, but the sauce is too sweet for our taste. A burger shouldn't taste sweet.

Huge variety of burgers to choose from, very well presented and well prepared food. I loved it. The only thing was that I asked to wash my hands in the toilets after I finished my meal and because it was almost closing time, they didn't let me in. I am wondering, if it was an emergency and I really needed to get in, what would have happened. Anyway, I hope this was an one time thing. Let's focus on the good food.

Burgers are good and conveniently priced for Zürich standards. On a minor note—not a fan of their cola offer. Vast improvements could be made to customer service. Not very friendly staff. Still, good spot to grab a burger on the go.

It's a large burger with good taste, affordable price at CHF20, mayonnaise sauce is perfect matched with french fries.

Had the big beef and the chicken burgers. I feel its worth to eat by topping up a little bit more compared to McDonald's. The patty was very original. The fries were great, really authentic foods. The sauce for big beef may taste different for some but would recommend you to add some mayonnaise into the burger, it will taste better. The service from order taking by ate, delivery to our table by the man to table cleaning by the Indian lady was friendly. Thank you!

Food and environment is good, i would say among best burger places in zurich. What i dont really like is that they serve only their branded drinks like Holy cola.. i dont like them and i would prefer to have the choice to drink a normal coca cola. Sometimes i decide to go to alternative places just because of this. Lets see if they change strategy in the future.

I went here before getting a connection to the airport from Zurich Central. Immediately upon entering, a very friendly employee noticed we spoke English and quickly directed us to the English menu. She told us to take a seat and we could order at the counter when ready and was extremely helpful. I got the Big Cheese burger and was able to use my American student card to get a discount for the meal that comes with fries and a drink. The burger itself has a sort of smoky taste and the meat is very different from what you'd find in the US but still tasty. It might not have been the best burger I've ever had but the fries were absolutely delicious. They were thick and crispy on the outside and the potato on the inside was creamy and they were salted perfectly. One of the best fries I've had, which was a pleasant surprise. My only recommendation is if you don't have a big appetite two people could probably split one meal as the burger and fries are both extremely filling. The prices here are also good for Zurich although a $20USD burger meal would be a lot in the US at a fast food-like restaurant.

Ordered the 'Sunset Miami' with jalapeño cream sauce, but the spiciness was extremely intense. Had to remove the jalapeños, but even then the dish was barely edible. The severity was not specified and the effects were so severe that I suffered severe pain for two days. The consequences were so drastic that even my back was affected. It would be helpful if the spiciness information on the menu was clearer to avoid such unpleasant experiences.

Burgers and chips are wonderful but recommend you have only best seller burgers. Relatively good service considering you are in Swiss.

The quality of the beef burger is astoundingly bad. I can't understand all of the reviews saying it's the best burger they've had in Zurich. It's on par with a really low quality frozen burger from a supermarket. The only good thing about the meal was the fries. They were crispy and cooked well. But the burgers here are definitely not gourmet. Keep your expectations very low and you might enjoy it.

Swiss burgers of good size, flavor and quality. Menu around 20 euros. Spacious place or you can also take it to take home.

Poor quality of burger. It’s more like some beef patty you can buy from supermarket. The service was poor. They made wrong order for me and still tried to claim that it was right , even though the server agreed with me for the first time. But anyway I think all of the reviews are mostly fake.

The burger patties and condiments are very good. The fries are also yummy. Ketchup and mayo are offered for free, but fancier sauces are available for purchase. The bun isn't the highest quality in my opinion, but also not bad. The service is incredibly fast. The burgers were on our table only a few minutes after we ordered and paid. I think the price is quite low compared to similar places in Zürich.

We were a group of 13 including a kid, ordered a variety of burgers and all were yummy. The buns were soft and toasted and the patties were yummy. A good place to visit for burgers in Zurich.

Just give it a try with their burger. Surprisingly with that price and portion is consider good. Well worth for the price. Service was also fast and environment was clean and spacious.

Don't understand what's so difficult about just making a simple good burger. Just lots of “fancy” burgers with ingredients I don’t want. Goat cheese, apple chutney, rocket and mayo as a sauce is always available everywhere. How about a classic cheese or BBQ burger?

Of all the Swiss foods, the hamburger was the most delicious. I enjoyed it very much. The patty is a bit dry but delicious.

We ordered from the restaurant at 9:20 p.m. and at 10:03 p.m. the order was suddenly canceled. After 40 minutes of waiting where the food actually had to be delivered. Outrageous! Then don't even accept it if you don't feel like delivering anything 40 minutes before the end.

Unbeatable price, featured in the student menu. Otherwise there are clearly better, albeit more expensive, citizens elsewhere.

Very good experience! The service was extremely nice and we loved the interrior. The burgers are a 10/10. If you want to go and eat somewhere good authentic burgers, this is your place to go! I have to take away 1 star because of the long queue. It can be very exhausting if you have to wait 10 to 20 min for a place to sit.

Very good burgers. They have veggie options. Their fries are thicker and good. We were there on a Wednesday night at about 9 pm, and the place was crowded. Their hours say 10 pm, but they seemed to stop taking orders at 10,but they stayed open longer.

You could easily eat this burger without teeth. I fell in love with your jalapeno dip. Burger it self very nice but for me it tasted like manufactured. Dont know how to describe the taste. Also too greasy fries and dirty toilets. But overall very nice fast food.

Very juicy burger, well prepared, good size and well accompanied by potatoes (ordered separately). You serve the sauces you want in dispensers for this purpose, everything is very clean and the service is very fast and good.

Not only does it taste good, but the staff's service is also good. It has an outdoor terrace as well as an indoor one, so you can enjoy a great atmosphere for eating a burger. Prices are not cheap because prices in Switzerland are quite high.

Burgers that are excellent, the service is fast.

The burgers were honestly quite disappointing. I had a big cheese. The bun was pretty good, very soft and the sesame seeds were nice, but everything else was quite sad. The patty was really thin, the sauces weren't particularly good, and there was just generally very little things in the burger which made it quite flat and disappointing. The refillable drinks were also not that great, they were just syrups, not even sodas.

100% local Swiss ingredients. I'd love to recommend to try Avocado burger + potato fries !! p.s) Clean washrooms
