Holy Cow in Zürich

The food is impressively good and the price is relatively low for the good food. Even the cola there is better than anywhere else.

The food is delicious one of the most beloved burger restaurants on my memory. The service is perfect we got our food in 5 min. Their holy cola is much better than Coca Cola. I recommend this restaurant for all burger lovers

The food was warm and the fries were nice and crispy. The burger meat was weird though. Rubbery, very compact, gray and strangely flavored. Probably industrial goods from the freezer. You could get a lot out of it with fresh beef prepared directly on the grill!

Quick service and delivery. Food is good. Good choice of burgers. Prices are correct, homemade fries are very tasty.

The fries are delicious!!! I dipped it in mayonnaise and it was delicious!! The hamburger was more spicy than I thought.ㅠㅠㅠㅠ The bread was high quality, but the BBQ chicken cheese burger was so-so. The beef burger was better. The burgers are large so if you have a lot of food, you can order one burger in a set for two. The Holy Cola at the end was delicious and delicious. The staff is friendly and brings burgers to your table. This is a reasonably priced restaurant in Switzerland, where prices are high.

There are plenty of seats on the 1st floor and the food is brought up to the counter after you order. My favorite is the chicken burger with bacon and avocado.

We ordered 6 burgers for 6 people on Uber eat (with an offer 1 to buy 1 for free), 3 of us ended up with food poisoning starting the same night and until next day. I will never eat their burgers again - place to avoid

With 6 friends we ordered hamburgers yesterday. Out of the 5 ones who had meat burgers, 3 had food poisoning soon after. This shows that the quality of the meat was anything but fresh. Very embarrassing - I’ll never order again and will ensure everyone I know hears about it

We were tourists in Zurich and had lunch there. We are used to good burgers from Berlin, but what was this? We both had a BIG CHEESE menu. For me the patty was cruel, tasted like it was a vegetarian patty! I just thought the burger bun was quite good. But the whole burger just didn't taste good to us. At least the fries and the service were great :) But I wouldn't get a burger there

A step up from McDonald's which is next door but it's still a fast food place. Lovely burger and chips. A bit on the pricey side but then, it is Zurich!

Personally I tried the burgers 🍔 and I think they are fresher than MC and other places where you can taste burgers 🍔. I highly recommend it if you want to try something good.

The veggie burger was a let-down. The patty didn’t really have much taste and it was just underwhelming as a burger. Wouldn’t recommended it, especially not for that price.

There is a reason why many people recommend French fries. A little salty but delicious! The cheeseburger had a lot of flavor, so it wasn't my taste, but the bun was really soft. Cola is also delicious!

The quality of the ingredients is very poor.

On 27th Jan 24, I visited this place, ordered a small burger and a drink. While the food was great and Tasty, I experienced poor customer service from the man behind the counter (chubby man around 3:00-3:30 pm). His behavior was somewhat rude, especially when I opted for takeout and sat down with my friend. He shouted from the back, implying I should use a tray unless I wanted to appear homeless. Despite the good food, the counter guy's customer dealing ruined my experienced. Hope the management will fix his attitude problem. Happy to talk face to face if needed.

Yesterday I ate there for the first time. Order downstairs, find a table upstairs and the food will be brought to you. The beef avocado bacon burger and fries were really tasty. Thanks also to the super nice waiter. I couldn't finish the burger and wanted to take the rest with me. He even gave me fresh fries and napkins, everything wrapped up nicely so that I can enjoy it later. So sweet (-:

Unpleasent with the service and with the staff The staff makes rude and unnecessary jokes instead of getting orders. As I read in other comments, the fat guy at the counter has made it a habit to make these cheesy jokes. I guess there is no one in this “holy” establishment to warn him.

Located in a prime spot, Holy Cow is a spacious restaurant renowned for its mouthwatering burgers, a variety of sauces, and breathtaking views from its upper floor.

They cancelled a delivery order made 1.5 hours before, for 15:45. At 15:47. I could've made different plans for lunch with a friend who's flying in 2 hours if you just cancelled sooner, you complete baboons.

Ok, I guess(?) The location is rather typical for Switzerland and particularly Zürich: You get rather mediocre food for a relatively high price. So, if you compare it to what you get elsewhere in Europe for a fraction of the price, I would certainly not recommend this restaurant. However: you are in Zürich and not elsewhere, right? Hence, adjust your expectations! If you do that, the prices are actually not bad. The meat seems a bit too small or the bun too large. It is good meat, though (judged by the taste; idk about how the animals lived. Apparently Swiss meat, but that doesn't tell you much about the quality.) They sometimes decide to put another salad on your burger (or do so by accident), but overall, it is a solid 3/5. A good thing is that you can dine in. Unfortunately, drinks are served in single use plastic bottles in any case (but that is also standard in Swiss take-away food stores). In conclusion: You can check it out. It is still way better than the McDiarrh*a next door. But don't expect it to be "real" gourmet stuff. It is a burger restaurant, after all.

Now the service itself was amazing, the food came out unreasonably fast, I am not exaggerating, we order, take the elevator besides the station to order, we’re walking towards our table, and the server is walking out with our food. I could not express how fast and amazing this service is, the food however is still very good, the patty in my opinion was a bit thin, and lacked seasoning, however the food was still amazing, if the seasoning was better it would be 5 stars.

I come from India ,so I guess it was very bland for me...The burger 🍔 seemed very machinist or mechanical in nature..it lacked d human touch...I mean any person can toss a readymade patty on d grill and pack it with some lettuce 🥬 and serve u ...but blend of various spices was not felt as der was none with d 🍖 meat which makes it more flavourful...moreover I felt ,it was a food injected with some sedation as was numb in terms of flavours...In India, we have seekh kebab or ground steaks that are marinated with various spices and is then grilled on live fire 🔥 with salted butter..and as u allow it to intercept with ur taste buds ...the explosion of d blend of flavours and the meat is mind-blowing....I guess d European segment is missing a lot on dis!!!!Life without spices is boring!!!! 😭

Food was decent, service was mediocre and atmosphere was good. Would recommend the Holy Cow in Lausanne over this one. Update: Took a takeaway today and took 30 minutes for a Mexicana Burger & Baja Dreams salad no menu. Not that horrible but two orders after me clearly arrived both 10-20 min before mine even though they probably ordered one thing with menu. However, they also didn’t put a fork ans knife which I think is expected for a salad, especially if they did it the last 2 times. I didn’t check but should’ve but I think it also makes sense to be consistent in whether to put utensils in or not. Last 2 takeaways were decent though, but the lettuce and carrots didn’t feel fresh. This takeaway, both the chicken was overcooked and the salad wasn’t fresh. The avocado mash is always the highlight though but doesn’t make up for it. The burger was generally fine. They put too much chilli sauce on one side though. Regardless, I still consider it as a healthier alternative to many restaurants.

A very good shop for fast, nice and cheap food. Friendly service, the burgers came very quickly, and the whole place is neat and clean.

We only just tried this place on the last night of our trip, really wished we found it sooner. Food was great & the man behind the counter was really patient with my indecisive family, top marks to him for that. He also checked in on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. If we're ever back in Switzerland, we'll be sure to go here again.

I watched them grill the meat, pre-cooked patties are thrown on the grill to re-heat them. Unfortunately you can smell it. If you still want a beef burger, make sure you order one with a lot of sauce. Fries are great though.

Holy cow is a place we have visited a few times over the years but in the old town. We had a change of plans and went here. The service was friendly and there was plenty of space on the next floor. I had an Aztec burger meal. There was some lettuce 🥬 and a bit of 🥑. Everything was very dry and was didn't feel fresh. The quality and composition has obviously dropped quite a bit. I don't think we will visit a second time.

Have tried other proteins before,but holy man the double pattie Espana style sauce one is beautiful,not to mention the extra fries added inside the package.So is this Secret Menu?Six star on Food

Excellent quality burgers at affordable prices

For a long time Holy Cow is my favorite restaurant in Switzerland, but for a while now there is a big guy as a cashier in Löwenstrasse. He is so rude. I get that people have bad days, but if he had one it is not my fault. I don't even feel like going there anymore. You go out just wanting to order a burger, but then just get humiliated.

LOL, that's not a burger! Unrecognizable flesh! We thought we got a veggie burger but when we saw that everyone was getting meat like that we knew it was very bad meat. Chicken doesn't look good either. Wow

I am in my 30s on a business trip to Zurich. ✅ The fries are crazy delicious… It's so crispy that I just want to eat the fries (a taste that gave me a reason to go on a business trip) ✅ The hamburger buns are really high quality (just saying they are delicious) ✔️ The taste of the hamburger is just above average (feeling healthy) but it still tastes good. ✔️If you come with your wife, you will be scolded ✔️ Well, it's the same price as Zurich, but it costs 27 Swiss francs.

It was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten at Switzerland. First I ordered cheese burger, the burger is not homemade it tasted like hotdog, I fortunately threw it. I made a new order with chicken burger, it tasted strange. I even decided to eat there since I saw rating of 4.2 with thousands ratings, it was a very big disappointment. please people don't give hight rating for food .that is not tasty at all

A Swiss handmade burger restaurant comparable to Korea’s Frank Burger. It's easy to eat and there are many different types. Compared to Korea, the French fries are thick and fat. I only ate two sets and one additional drink. For drinks, in addition to cola, there is iced tea. You can choose the flavor you want.

This is a hamburger restaurant near Zurich Central Station. Moderately lively atmosphere and friendly service. This is a place where you can taste plenty of delicious hamburgers. The price is a little more expensive than Korean hamburgers, but the service delivers directly to your seat and the hamburgers are huge. And considering the large amount of French fries, etc., it is quite reasonable. The hamburger is quite large, enough for an adult man to eat to his fill. The French fries were also really delicious, and it's a great place to have a filling meal. Unlike McDonald's in Zermatt, ketchup and mayo can be taken from the self-service bar area at no additional cost. The hamburger tasted moderately salty rather than sweet and had an impressive umami flavor. It was a hamburger that felt like a handmade burger, and personally, I think it was a very delicious hamburger. This is a place that can be recommended as a good store to visit at least once.

Purchased some menus with my STU card, but accidentally paid with another card. After which the cashier got pissed. We offered to pay the 6Fr difference but he refused and started making rude remarks and threatening us with a ban from the restaurant. Got food poisoning the same evening. From one of the top restaurants, to never eating there ever again because of the unpleasant experience.

Second visit to Holy Cow! The beef burgers are tender and juicy, and the French fries are still crispy and delicious. The interior environment is spacious, so you can come and eat at any time when you are craving for food!

It was one of the best hamburger restaurants. The Big Cheese Burger, Big Buff Burger, and BBQ Chicken Cheeseburger were all satisfactory. The patty, bread, and cheese, all made from local Swiss origin ingredients, were all fresh, and the hamburger bun was especially soft. And the king size fries are also thumbs up👍

I had a situation with the corpulent man at the checkout. Since my friend had a Stucard we got a 15% discount. Instead of paying with this card, I accidentally used my card (not Stucard). The employee started shouting at me stupidly and became rude. I also agreed to pay the 15% so that he doesn't have any problems. However, he just continued talking in a cheeky tone. When I pointed out to him that he could speak properly, he threatened to ban me from the house. You should fire someone like that.
