We always order take away. The sushi are very tasty and extremely inexpensive.

Great restaurant for lovers of fresh and lovingly prepared sushi. The menu has been designed attractively, the service is very attentive and as I said, the sushi's are simply a sin 😋

I reserved and There wasn't a place

We ordered take-out sushi in advance. Everything worked perfectly and the sushi was ready at the time ordered. The sushi was of very good quality, value for money was right. We will order again!

Authentic, great food and service

Very good sushi, others can learn a lot from it. The plate was beautifully decorated and the taste was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant is on the KEZO premises, which spoils the ambience a bit... However, it is definitely worth a visit :-)

First thing: Not authentic Japanese cuisine. Authentic or not, it was not very good but ok for a lunch, but not for a dinner. Service was friendly and fast. Sushi had large fish pieces but the seasoning of the rice was somehow off. Pickled ginger had very strong taste of conservatives (couldn't eat it). The wasabi imitate was the worst I have ever had. Clearly horse reddish with chemical food coloring. Miso soup was fishy and too salty. Tofu pieces in it were cold. Sorry to be so critical, but it was rated 4.8* which to me is hard to understand, especially given the price.

Being inside a landlocked country, it is difficult to get fresh seafood. The sushi and sashimi served here are decent. But that doesn’t make them authentic Japanese cuisine. I tried their Chirashi and it was disappointing. There was no traditional Japanese pickles or Japanese rolled omelette Tamagoyaki. It was simply sashimi laid on top of some rice like a mountain. The rice should have been seasoned but it was plain white rice and also tasted a bit overcooked. Two of our friends ordered Tonkatsu Chicken, which the name is idiotic. Tonkatsu means breaded pork cutlets. Nevertheless they seemed to like it. Another ordered Bulgogi, which is a popular Korean dish. But he seemed to enjoy it as well. For dessert I had Tempura Banana. It was okay but I think the banana was overripe and the portion was small. The service was fine in our experience. They were not rude or anything. They simply were the way they were and nothing personal. Stick with warm dishes. I think they are much better at cooked dishes than sushi or sashimi.

It has been one of our favorite restaurants for years and we also enjoy driving a bit to see it. Good quality sushi prepared with a lot of love and at fair prices. Dogs are welcome.

We stopped for a quick dinner, but we could not finish our soba. The vegetables were low quality and the broth was completely tasteless (probably made from some powder).

The staff is friendly and the place is cute but the food aint Japanese, We ordered a udon and it was basically a vegetable soup with broccoli pepper and other thing that are no where found in a Japanese kitchen

It couldn't be worse! The woman who served us could hardly speak German and was also very cheeky. When we asked her politely whether we could have the udon noodles with chicken instead of seafood, firstly she didn't understand us and secondly, she answered with an arrogant "no". Well, no problem. I ordered a cola and while we were eating outside because she had already seated us outside the table at the beginning (even though we didn't really want to eat outside) an insect flew into my cola. No new cola was brought. She looked at us as if it wasn't her problem and simply brought us a new glass. Half of my cola was already in the glass. AUDIENCE! This is by no means customer friendly and not good service. The food was very dry and not good value for money. The cola was still charged. No accomodation and nothing at all! NEVER AGAIN!

They have really fresh, nice sushi. In good proce. That is why we come back. Even though the service part of the exeprience is really poor. Unfortunately the waitresses behaviour is the major problem here. We ate here numerous times and there is always a feeling of a weird attitude towards client. They will be neutral to you if they have a good day, if they have worst day be prepared to impolite tone or even closse to rudness. As the kitchen is opened to the restaurant, you can tell right away when they argue between themselves, rise a voice in cintext of mistakes in the order etc. You can just feel you are not a welcomed client. We eat there once a week/every second week or order with the delivery and each time there is an issue in context of language barrier. Last time half of the order was incorrect. The atmosphere is more like a canteen in the office building, no coziness, no special vibe. The sushi taste saves it all, that is why we still come back but the staff shoul really reconsider their attitude and familiarise themselves with tge rules of hospitality and being more appproachable. Hope this will change for the better.

The restaurant is very nice and the staff is not just really great but also very kind and funny, if you get to chat with them that is. The food/dishes are sensational. No complaints whatsoever.

To write that the food will be there in 10 minutes, but after 90 minutes you haven't received anything and you can't pick up the phone is really disgusting!

I really hope that the employees learn and understand German better. If you have a bad allergy, you shouldn't just say yes and nod your head and pretend you understand everything. The last time here! Simply catastrophic ❗️ Not recommendable.

Food: 4/5 We ordered sushi. It was beautifully prepared and very tasty. The ingredients were fresh. Rooms: 4/5 Normal Asian decor. Nice, but nothing special. Chairs were comfortable and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. Staff: 3/5 Very friendly, but unfortunately there was a slight language barrier. The food was brought quickly and cleared away immediately after we were finished. Price: 4/5 The prices are in the middle range. Not overpriced but not cheap either. (But it's also sushi) Conclusion: 4/5 The visit was pleasant and the food was okay. Would come again.

Good affordable Japanese cuisine, nothing exceptional but good, no PP nearby, steps in front of the restaurant, friendly service, in the back, by the window you sit directly in the draft.

German language is difficult. I do not understand that. But if you write it down and still send the wrong one. Unfortunately the beer was also warm. (I have to say that I was the only guest) Sorry, it doesn't work at all

We had dinner here on January 1st, 2023 and had sashimi, various types, spyci beef, and cucumber salad, sushi, inari. And finally, delicious dessert with banana. Everything was great. Come back..😊

NOTHING TO RECOMMEND! I was so disappointed with the restaurant because I really like sushi. It's one of my favorite dishes. But this time it was just terrible and I didn't like the food. When I walked into the restaurant I immediately felt uncomfortable. The waitresses looked at me strangely and were rude. The hospitality there was very poor and the staff spoke extremely loudly in Chinese in front of the guests. The sushi tasted strange - it seemed to be rice from the Chinese menu, rather than the Japanese rice. I will definitely avoid this restaurant in the future and definitely will not recommend it.

I ordered and picked up sushi for CHF 158. When I asked for a little more ginger, they wanted an additional CHF 2 for it. Sure, you can do it - but you don't have to.

The sushi was pretty good, however the kids’ bowl was a hot mess of rice, schnitzel and sauce; not really attractive and too much sauce.

Ambiance: Poorly furnished, snack bar character 2 🌟 out of 5 🌟 Service: Fast, courteous, friendly. 5 🌟 out of 5 🌟 Sushi Chef: Must have had a really bad day. Still, it shouldn't happen. He shouted loudly and complained to the employees. So loud that it really spoiled our mood. 1 🌟 out of 5 🌟 Buffet: 39.- without drinks included. It would still work. But: What was available was only the cheapest sushi, two halfway good sashimis plus three meager warm dishes that were really bad (lukewarm, noodles completely soggy, poor quality meat). The rest would have had to be purchased. Worst buffet ever! 1 🌟 out of 5 🌟 Sake: There was only one to choose from and it was of the lowest quality. 1 🌟 out of 5 🌟 There is an average of 2 🌟.

I was in this restaurant on Sunday, it was really great, the prices (39 francs) are very, very affordable, the sushi are all freshly made, I'm very happy with this price, the chef and service was very nice, I would definitely come again ! I also saw some people write bad comments, I just want to laugh, hello? for 39fr. what would you like to eat in Switzerland? Sushi with 18k.Gold?Please go to a five star restaurant instead!!Normal restaurant is not suitable for you!!

We love the sushi here. The Corona requirements were adhered to perfectly. We thoroughly enjoyed this evening and the rich buffet. The team is courteous and very attentive. Always happy again 👍

Staff was friendly and helpful. Quality of food was unfortunately low. There was a variety of rolls but they were not fresh, heavy, seemed greasy... The tempura was ok but served with cocktail sauce? We were disappointed.

There is an all-you-can-eat buffet on Wednesday and Sunday evenings. Price CHF 39.-/person. Suitable for anyone who is very hungry.

Soo.. fine! On Wednesdays and Sundays there is sushi a discretion. An absolute must. The selection is large and the sushi is freshly prepared. The outdoor area is very pleasant and quiet, despite the central location in Uster. There is parking right around the corner, great! The personnel is very friendly and courteous. I've probably been to Ichiban 178 for the umpteenth time now and have NEVER been disappointed, but as a tip: make a reservation for Sushi a disgrecion, that's the best way to secure a spot. I'm already looking forward to the next visit :-)

Absolutes NoGo! 83 Minuten wurden als Lieferzeit angegeben. Nach 2h Wartezeit haben wir angerufen und uns nach der Bestellung erkundigt. Nochmals 40 Minuten hätten wir warten müssen. Haben dann storniert...

Niemand trägt eine Covid-Schutzmaske, nicht einmal der Koch! Unmöglich.

Das Personal ist ständig stark bestrebt und stets verbindlich!Auf das Gericht und unsere Drinks mussten unsereiner keineswegs lange warten. Das war prima, da wir an dem Abend einen mächtigen Heißhunger hatten.Das Lokal ist durchgehend nett und wir hatten hier einen schönen Abend.Dekos auf den Plätzen und im gesamten Restaurant ist anständig und schön. Das Bad ist stets sauber und allem in allem vermittelt das Lokal einen charmanten Eindruck.

Freundliche Bedienung, feines Essen. Gut erreichbar, öffentlicher Parkplatz in Gehweite. Gerne wieder!

Sushi seems to be the main dish here, and I figure it was my bad to order something else. The edamame was okay, but not great. The katsu don was made with low quality meat and very unauthentic (in a bad way) - but it was one of the few warm dishes made with Swiss meat. Portion size was rather too large, but good for the price, but a smaller portion of higher quality would have been way more appreciated. If I should ever return here, then only to try the sushi buffet all you can eat, maybe that's a better value - although you must be hungry to make up on the price. Service was mixed. Not unfriendly nor slow, but not great either. I doubt anyone working here is Japanese or has ever worked in Japan.

They have katsudon on the weekends! It’s quite rare in Switzerland. While it’s not as good as in a specialized tonkatsu establishment, it’s passable. On the sushi front (which is their speciality), I think they have really improved over the years. The prices are very affordable and the fish cuts are very generous. One thing I wish they had is eastern-style iced tea (green/barley/genmaicha).

Als ich diesen Ort zum ersten Mal besuchte, war ich sehr angenehm überrascht von den guten Preisen und den sehr leckeren Gerichten. Ich glaube, dass dieses Restaurant zu Unrecht der Aufmerksamkeit beraubt wird. Ideal für einen angenehmen Abend oder für einen schnellen Snack den ganzen Tag. Lecker, preiswertig, sehr höfliches und freundliches Personal!

Über anderthalb Stunden mussten wir auf unser Essen warten (bestellt Dienstag Mittag) – zweimal mussten wir anrufen.. Das war unsere letzte Bestellung, liebes Ichiban!

Günstiges Sushi-Restaurant mit frischem Fisch in guter Qualität, allerdings waren die Speisen, die kein Sushi enthalten nicht so besonders und die Nudelsuppe war eher europäisch als Japanisch/asiatisch geprägt. Das Ambiente gefällt mir allerdings sehr gut.

Nice location, lots of menu options, we were really happy with the food. A good selection of food on the menu, usually has plenty of meals to select from and new meals added by the chefs at all times. The ambiance here is always welcoming and you never have to wait very long to be served. Great food portion sizes specifically taking into consideration the price. The waitress proceeded to go above and beyond to help to make our food special.

I’ve been a couple of time in this restaurant.The quality of the fish and of the food in general is really good.I’ve also tried the buffet....amazing.The only thing bad about the buffet is that they don’t offer much Sashimi or rainbow rolls, you have to wait long to get some. Other than that really good restaurant. I definitely recommend it.

Der Algensalat hat mich sowenig überzeugt wie die Ente um Tempurateig, welche sehr trocken war. Da half die Teryaki Sauce auch nicht viel. Jetzt, am morgen danach ist mir zudem ziemlich schlecht davon. Meine Begleiterinnen waren aber zufrieden mit dem Sushi. Meine Wahl war offensichtlich schlecht.
