1 pork skewer 42 francs with pre-fried potato; Or the fish with pre-fried potatoes, no, my friend, if you want to do it right, you can do it properly, what are you fast food!?

Great restaurant, everything was just great. Food very good, staff too, boss very generous. Some evenings there is live music to create a party atmosphere and some evenings are great for a relaxed, good dinner. I can recommend it to everyone for a truly Greek experience in Zurich 😊

Visiting Ioannis was an unforgettable culinary experience. From start to finish we were amazed by the outstanding quality and service. The ambience in the restaurant is elegant and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a special dinner. The staff was extremely attentive and knowledgeable, and they were happy to help us choose the best dishes Greek cuisine has to offer. The menu at Yannis is impressive and offers a wide selection of very fresh fish with a modern twist. Every bite was a taste sensation, and the fresh ingredients and excellent preparation were unmistakable. The wine list offered an excellent selection of Greek wines that paired perfectly with our meal. A tip from my side, order Malagouzia ;) All in all, our visit was an unforgettable experience. We can only warmly recommend it if you want to enjoy fine Greek cuisine of the highest quality. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks Natasha for the recommendation!!

The starter, the octopus, was excellent. The best I ate in Zurich. Is worth its price. The service was also very good. Very friendly but not intrusive. There are also vegetarian options so my friend, who doesn't eat meat, also had a choice of dishes. Unfortunately I have to deduct a point because my lamb chops were well done. I would have expected a medium-roasted lamb in a restaurant in this price range. I couldn't eat more than half of the meat. Since it was a special evening for us, I didn't want to spoil my friend's meal so I ate two pieces. Otherwise he would have had to wait until I got something new. We were then offered two Greek Nescafes. I would have expected us to be more accommodating with the price for the unsuccessful main course. After all, it is an upscale restaurant in the upper price range. I would still go again, but then I would probably choose a selection of starters.

Ioannis Restaurant is just great! The exceptional see food is amazing and the staff is extremely kind and friendly! If in Zurich this restaurant is a must! Love it!

Really nice evening at a Greek restaurant on the outskirts of Zurich. The owner Ioannis was present himself and walked around and enjoyed himself with the guests. Really good Greek food and definitely worth a visit. However, we ordered a little extra feta (see the pictures), which subsequently turned out to cost 17 CHF! Certainly not a cheap evening, but nevertheless a good and pleasant evening.

Very good food, especially for fish lovers. The service was also impeccable and always attentive. The only downside are the prices: quality does have its price, but 26.- for four (homemade) stuffed small grape leaves and 9.- for 7.7 dl of water is salty even for Zurich prices. Unfortunately there is a star deduction here.

The food is simply great!! Fish and meat melt in your mouth and the sauces are excellent too. The mousaka was also very good!! Very good service and great ambience. Can really recommend it.

We’ve had an amazing dinner at Ioannis. The boss himself came to say hi. We asked him if he had recommendations, and there the magic started. He guided us to the fish buffet and composed a selection with us, together with sides, a green salad and a light starter that didn’t feel too heavy. The platter we ate was the best fish experience I’ve had in Zurich and maybe the best in my life. The restaurant itself is very stylish and the terrace ultra cozy for a summer. We’ll be back for sure.

I can’t find words to describe the experience we had at this restaurant, everything was absolutely unbelievable. Fresh sea food, amazing meats, the best appetizers, and incredible service. Every bite we took was phenomenal. They went above and beyond for us and we cannot say enough good things about them. The owner was incredible and we will be back for sure. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

$$$$ expensive Greek fusion cuisine. Doesn't remind me of vacationing on a Greek island. For my taste there is too much emphasis on form here. What is an “Ioannis salad”? Parking spaces are available and free of charge! But that alone is worth a lot in Zurich.

Very elegant $$$$ Greek restaurant, in a brand new building, all staff is Greek, food is very tasty and nicely presented, servers specially friendly as is the owner of the restaurant himself. They even have free of charge underground parking for guests. Good job!

Really nice and good Greek restaurant, especially the fish is excellent. Daily fresh fish catches also available. Open fire grill for both fish and meat. Good wine selection. Kind and caring staff. The toilets are super clean! Has free parking too (not a given in the city).

This place is very nicely decorated and the service was upscale (attentive, quick, very good advice). The fish menu was amazing and huge with entry and dessert. Everything very well prepared especially the fish which melted in your mouth. You can also take the leftovers with you, they will be packed well. It's worth it, I'd love to come back.

Authentic Greece on the outskirts of Zurich. Not only are the staff Greek, many of the guests are too. And that speaks for itself. Very high quality, fresh cuisine and a warm host. Prices a little higher but it's worth it.

I visited the restaurant as an company event. The variaty of food was amazong and the service superb. We received several smaller plates with appetizer size courses including vegetarian and vegan version.

Our favorite restaurant in Albisrieden. Probably the best Greek restaurant in the city, and one of the best fish dishes in the country. Highly recommend for any kind of events!

Very cozy location, not exactly in the heart of Zürich but easy to be reached by public or private transports, in a modern district! Lovely outdoor setup and excellent caring service. I had dinner with a friend however it could be a perfect location for an elegant business dinner too given the attentions to details for the waiters and chef who came to greeting us. (For instance I dropped my napkin and the waiter immediately took a new one!) Food was way above expectations (and said that from an Italian it counts double!). Fresh fish, delicate mezze as starters, excellent wine and you need to keep some space for the dessert because you can't leave without their cioccolate and orange cake! Can't wait for being back and to share good time in front of delicious food. Thank you!

I love coming here. It's an amazing restaurant, amazing staff, amazing food! I recommend telling Ioannis what you like, fish or meat, and he will bring out the most wonderful display of delicious platters you have ever seen and tasted! Even if you order from the menu, the food is incredible! The portions are perfect! The atmosphere is as if you are in greece, sitting by the coast, looking at the sunset having a glass of wine. 100% to recommend!

Excellent food for three. Fish fillet and gyros. There was also a small menu salad beforehand and a piece of cake for dessert. Very friendly, attentive and relaxed service and the location of the attractive garden against the residential area with lots of greenery is very nice and quiet. Price level appropriate for what is offered. With fabric tablecloths and napkins also in the garden. We'd love to come back!

They bring fresh fish from Greece You can either select the whole fish or take individually as a dish (for specific kind of fish) The portions were really big and everything was tasteful The service was great and friendly There is free underground parking with designated spaces for the restaurant (you need to ask for an exit ticket when paying in the restaurant) There was also live greek music (bouzouki) You can also buy greek tsoureki from Terkenlis there Best fish restaurant in Switzerland

Nice ambiance and ok food. The Lunch menu with a Water will cost you approx CHF 40.- This is at the upper end for a normal Lunch. You get a Salad or the daily Soup as a starter, the Main course (a selection of 5-6 options) an the dessert. The prices vary from 25 to 36 CHF for the Menu. Ioannis proclaims to be a greek restaurant, but in my Opinion it is more an general Restaurant with a greek touch. The food was nicely prepared and served. The staff is nice and friendly.

Greek cuisine: excellent. Zurich prices: for people with an annual income of 100,000 or more. Endless waiting: arrival at the restaurant at 7 p.m., starter at 7:45 p.m., main course at 8:45 p.m., chased out of the restaurant at 10 p.m. with loud Greek music. I imagine a cozy dinner differently!

We have been to Ioannis twice now. The restaurant is absolutely professionally decorated. The staff always friendly and accommodating. The food is visually beautifully presented. The food tastes just great - an experience! The fish counter with the fresh fish and the charcoal grill is simply a pleasure for guests. The advice from the boss directly at the fish counter is great and, in my opinion, unique in Zurich! As a guest you feel comfortable and welcome. The in-house bar offers various alcoholic drinks such as rum, gin, etc. Cigars can also be enjoyed in the adjacent Fumior - great! We'd love to come back :)

So far, the best (and not only Greek ones) restaurant I have experienced in Switzerland. On the menu, I wanted to try every single items. They also propose really good. Just be ready to bring some doddybag at home, portions are generous. For the dessert, I would strongly recommend their Korkan cake (nuts chocolate mousse cake). And the staff was really great, nicely taking of us and really nice with kids. There's also a nice ambiance with some music (not loud but enough to feel the Greek atmosphere). A place to visit and visit again without hesitation

Sooo tasty food! We just were checking a random restaurant from SihlCity and found via Google this awesome restaurant. Such nice personal 👌, they came to check so often and it just felt so natural. We took the meat plate with chicken. Its just the perfect portion (we'll a bit too much:)), and we got a dessert eventually. Thank you so much for that great evening!

Excellent food in a somewhat modern atmosphere. The food is very tasty, and a little more refined than the rather rough setup in the typical Greek tavern. Only the restaurant in a new building is not quite as Greek in style, but the great food and the very friendly service make up for it all! Highly recommended

Not a very large menu, on the other hand what is there is really of quality... I would even say of quantity, due to the generous portions. Zurich prices... Obviously... Efficient and attentive staff. Motivated, experienced owner, he chooses quality (for example in the gigantic lamb chops, he tells us, imported directly from Greece. Never seen such giant ribs, I swear) He offers us a very special grappa... And even a cream with his own brand. In short: you pay but you get something in return. We know this isn't always the case.

A very special restaurant, with polite and pleasant staff and also the owner, Mr. Ioannis. Too many options for every kind of customer, with quality food that you can combine with an unlimited selection of Greek wines! Something very pleasant that you rarely find in these countries, is the light smell from the coals and the fire of the grill that bring you very close to the traditions and culture of Greece.

Does takeout during the pandemic. Very decent greek food. We’ve had greek mezze, vegetarian moussaka, roasted lamb, and baklava. I can highly recommend any of these dishes – and will go back to Ioannis soon to taste other options from the menu.

Went here on the spur of the moment, from a return trip from Chur. Place is quite large and is very stylish and tastefully decorated. The staff were very professional, friendly and pleasant which enhances the atmosphere. We ordered the beetroot, leaves and apple salad with the grilled octopus. Followed by the fresh barbounia (red mullet- which is synonymous with Greek seafood) and a rib eye steak, which was cooked to perfection. Accompanied with a glass of rose, which was delightful. The food was fresh and exceptionally cooked with authentic flavours, memories of Greece. Very enjoyable, we will be back!!!

The best Greek in Zurich! Many Greeks always have the same thing: gyro plate, cyclops plate, Poseidon plate, etc... Ioannis only offers high-quality food that is served by competent, very friendly staff. Everything was great, we always enjoy coming here!
