Istanbul in Lausanne

Pleasant setting, nice atmosphere, open on Sunday. The kebabs are well stocked, the sauce is homemade, the bread is succulent. One box had fewer fries than the other but the children had plenty to eat. The 2 syrups for the children were offered to us! Very nice gesture! We will come back.

I put 2 because we had booked to eat at their place for a birthday, they had a grill failure!! This hardly happened! only politeness they should have called us and warned us that there was a breakdown before we arrived, so surprise we arrive we sit down, already not only were we not informed more, the table was not ready nothing , they are setting the table in front of us!! shocking! to apologize they offer 1 or 2 things including not fresh bread! because we finally decided after entering to change restaurants! Some people even had a stomach ache when they left. and the floor under the table, I can't say that it was clean for the few customers they had that evening, frankly I find it dirty!!! so I don't recommend it and I don't want to go back there for myself, not even in Lausanne

I recently ordered a borek at this restaurant, and unfortunately I have to say that my experience was very disappointing. The borek was not only burnt, which ruined its texture and taste, but it also seemed to be prepared with low quality ingredients. For a price of 21 CHF, I expected much higher quality. This unsatisfactory experience convinced me not to frequent this establishment in the future.

Music too loud, hamburger overcooked and above all not commercial at all... For a birthday meal, they didn't even offer a digestive to the person celebrating despite a pitiful 607.- hearing...

It is noted that the restaurant closes at 11:00 p.m., we arrived on a Saturday evening at 9:00 p.m. and were told that the kitchen was closed. We will never set foot there again.

Good food, nice setting, friendly staff. Drinks far too expensive, for example cold tea at 7 francs for 5 dl. Even a mountain hut supplied by helicopter is cheaper.

Service and food were great. Restaurant was empty at 8pm at night and they close so early. Better to eat at the Istanbul in Flon to have a proper extended dinner/ drinks with friends/ family.

I love the lentil soup, and the bread that comes with it. The menù offers so much more, but that simple dish, and a nice espresso, is all it takes to make me happy. And after lunch why not going back to Lausanne walking through the forest? The staff is always very kind, and the restaurant spacious enough so that it does not feel crowded not even when there are many customers.

Deplorable! 10 minutes of waiting at the checkout until Madame decided to move on (too busy on her phone) so she then came to tell me that the orders were finished. Restaurant closing in 20’. I wanted a takeaway order. Not only is the quality to be deplored, most of it canned (go behind the counter and see for yourself the canned rice vine leaves)... Only one piece of advice: RUN AWAY!

Nice place. My favourite always was lentil soup and kebab or topkapi there. Although, with time something changed and the quality of food started to worsen. Hopefully they’ll recover, but for now it’s a solid 4.

This is a restaurant located inside the building where there are Migros and the coop. I was able to have a durum at 2:00 p.m. The meat was very good despite the late ordering time. 12.- for the durum which remains in the upper average for a durum. Contrary to comments, the establishment does not sell tacos.

Reservation on Too GoodToGo...only vegetarian foods to choose from! The waiter didn't even offer us another alternative...we left empty-handed and hungry!! Never again...

Bad service, cold food and not good at all

Really disappointed with the service after more than 30 minutes of waiting for our order, it turned out that it had not yet been displayed in the kitchen. In addition, many people were ordering takeaway orders. This is unacceptable. I wouldn't set foot there again anytime soon.

Avoid if you don't want to get sick, poisoning following a mediocre kebab, amateur and unfriendly staff, I witnessed an absurd scene where the staff refuses people just because they were in work clothes!!!!! !!

I took a takeaway box when I got home I started to eat and in the middle I saw a hair in the box you can imagine my disgust, I called to warn, and the man said to me “We have no hair here” So a response without any real desire to resolve the problem. Pay attention to hygiene please!!! I'm posting this here because people don't want to hear me on the phone.

Friendly staff. Very happy to have been able to drink a Turkish coffee (a little expensive) but you have to treat yourself from time to time.

I am sorry to say this but this place is not like before. Food is floating in oil! Any thing you order has 10times more oil than supposed to. And one very sad point, they butcher traditional turkish food to very bad version. Just order Iskander kebab for example, you will be get traumatized with pieces of doner and yogurt Staff are friendly but I think Chef has been changed and that's why this place is awful now

Had Falafel and Tacos along with my friend. Food taste is fantastic and awesome. Have to praise a lot the beautiful lady who served food with cherrishing smile and energy. Must eat restaurant when you visit Laussane.

A very bad experience. I do not give it any stars. The meat was not cooked and there was still blood inside it. The toilet was very dirty and was also clogged. When I paid the bill for any 4 people, the bill was 208 francs. I came to pay in euros and the euro was more expensive than the rub, but they charged me that the franc was more expensive than the euro. And I paid 250 euros for inedible food. This is the height of fraud, fraud, and bad treatment. When I told them the food is inedible, we cannot do anything for you. This is what I have to pay for the food. When I told them that the euro is more expensive than the franc, they answered me that this is our currency rate. I am very, very upset.

Service that leaves something to be desired! Waitresses/waiters who chat, make jokes and drink cans of drinks instead of coming to take the order... After 10 minutes of waiting I left, even though the restaurant was practically empty! I would not return and I do not recommend.

I find this Restaurant of Incredible Quality, All-you-can-eat Mediterranean Buffet, to eat in or take away, in a Magnificent restaurant decor...Comfortable and Beautiful furniture...A Grand Paradise with Terrace...I will come back often.

Very disappointed with the Sultan burgers. Ultimately the whole dish leaves something to be desired. The fries are hard and cold and the burgers apart from the salad with cocktail sauce there is nothing more. Frankly, I don't advise you. It’s sad to say that but McDonald’s burgers are even better.

Very pleasant, spacious, well located. Possible to eat various ancas in the middle of the afternoon, with a little drink (aperitif). I had a good time there (from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.). The staff is great, friendly, offers you a little something after purchasing several drinks, so high level customer service. I loved this place and recommend it. We can talk calmly without being stuck with other customers. I valid !!!!

Restaurant in the heart of La Sallaz, accessible directly from the metro exit. They offer typical Turkish specialties. Their dishes are each tastier than the last, you will be served rather quickly by friendly and warm staff. Possibility of paying with card. Remember to have a covid-19 pass to eat indoors.

Nice restaurant. Very friendly staff but ultra inefficient and very slow. CHF 13.50.- for a Kebab sandwich which is very average. Children's menu Kebab plate CHF 13.- super good. A big effort needs to be made in terms of service and prices.

This is the most terrible restaurant I have ever seen in my life with very rude staff. They forgot my order and when I reminded them, they said "oh we are sorry but we forgot and now we closed the kitchen". This is by far the worst experience in a restaurant when you wait 1h and at 10pm they say we forgot your order and we don't have anything now! Not at all acceptable which made me very angry, and I recommend everybody to never go to this place. Even if you die from being hungry, don't eat their extremely low-quality things! There is no worse experience than being in this restaurant!

1) I ordered a kabab with veal online. I received it wrapped in aluminum foil 😡The sauce was poured directly onto the aluminum!!!! They don't even bother to wrap the Kebak well with special wrapping paper, in order to protect the contents from mixing with the foil. - 2), I paid an extra of 2.25 CHF for the veal!!! it was everything.... except veal!!! 😡😡😡😡 - YOU ARE THIEVES - I ADVISE EVERYONE WHO READS THIS COMMENT TO RUN FROM THIS RESTAURANT... THEY ARE SICK!!!
