JOE & THE JUICE in Zürich

Had a Matcha Latte and a Green Power to go, so I can't report anything about the cleanliness for the moment. When I took a quick look it looked good and comfortable. The juices are great and tasty and the prices are OK. The employees are friendly and work efficiently.

Bitter coffee. A small Cappuccino for 7 franks?

We each ordered a cappuccino at 7:43 p.m. We only received this in a to-go cup due to the closure at 8 p.m. However, when we asked, we were allowed to sit down. They then started cleaning everything up. As a customer, I would like to be able to get a coffee in a cup 15 minutes before closing - it just doesn't taste as good from a paper cup. Especially when the cappuccino costs CHF 7.00.

The coffee is great. The atmosphere is somewhat spoiled by the disorder on tables and the lack of cleanliness. The staff changes very often, young people from all over the world which is cool. Unfortunately, they are often not service-oriented and you first have to find out whether the person speaks German or English. The tables are not cleared even if there is nothing to do.

Good and expensive, fast and loud.

God damn, they are so slow… not in general, because the other joe and the juice store are quite fast, but this one it’s a joke, I’m a regular and every time I have to wait 20+ minutes to get my sandwich, literally EVERY TIME! Please do something about it!

Please clean! WC…. No apparent cleaning list with times, but it hasn't been cleaned in a while Upholstered groups, tables, floors full of streaks… Staff discusses what would be whose job🤌🏼 And just unfriendly, that was the first impression.

We went there on a Sunday morning, there were two servers and barely six or seven customers, most of whom were taking takeout. The welcome is pleasant and the coffee tasty. On the other hand, the place is so dirty that we don't even know where to sit. The armchairs and sofas are littered with stains, it’s disgusting. The radiators are a nest of cobwebs, the carpets are in an unspeakable state of dirt, and the tables are neither cleared nor cleaned. You have to push the croissant crumbs to put down your drink. This is unacceptable. I can't imagine the state of the kitchen and bar and I certainly wouldn't risk ordering a juice or a sandwich. I won't come back.

First ignored for 5 minutes, then waited 1 minute for a receipt and 10 minutes until he made a smoothie. I was the only customer!! Unbelievable how ignorant, inefficient, unfriendly these employees present themselves to customers on every rare visit... simply speechless

You have to be happy when you are served. The employee's loud statement in response to another customer's displeasure while waiting: “You can be polite to me. “I only work here and I do this for the money.”

The sandwiches are good, but the tea is really bad. The water from coffee machine smells bad and its undrinkable. When I brought the tea back, explained the situation the waiter told "ok" and throw away the whole cup. No apologies, no money back.

Very unfriendly staff. I've been there several times because the offer is good, but I won't go there again. I have never received friendly service before. Currently The employees can't speak German, only English.

The smoothies were very tasty, the sandwiches were crunchy and tasty and the concept was well thought out with calorie information. I found the seating arrangement to be rather negative. Not so comfortable to sit and linger.

Terrible service - you wait (even though there are only 3 people in there) and are not even spoken to for 10 minutes and then only in English - we are in Zurich and you would expect that German would be spoken...never again It's a shame because I work in Sihlcity... It's interesting that people still answer me in English even though I wrote in German - so a clear « no »

I think 5.70 CHF for a simple coffee cream that you wait forever for and have to get yourself is borderline. You can also find the cream somewhere in the self-service…Very little service, but proud prices!

Good shake but I don't recommend the acai bowl

Spent 20.50 CHF plus shipping on the new açaí bowl just for it to arrive like this. Half empty. Paid 1chf extra for pineapples and i am seeing 6 bits of pineapples.

I was at Joe & the Juice recently and had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a Green Tonic Juice. This wasn't the fault of the employees - they were really stressed and working at full speed. But all the deliveries (Just Eat) that wait for the employees in the store alongside the customers. It is unfair that employees have to process online orders in addition to customers in the store...Health should not only exist in a cup, but also in the workplace. This means: please use human resources fairly so that your employees do not have to work under such stressful conditions. You charge 10.- for a small juice...that's not in proportion to the working conditions.

One person preparing, two other ones chatting and dancing around. Ordered take forever

Even better than starbucks; First you pay 11.- for some mixed fruits and then I stand there waiting for your shake for at least 10-15 minutes. Never saw such a badly organized café. What an impudence.

My favorite fast food in Zurich ! The sandwiches are really tasty and the service is efficient

Great place for morning breakfast. Opens early so one of the only place you can go for breakfast in the mall. The juices, sandwiches and coffee are all great.

13 May, ordered sandwich in German: "einmal Joe's club Glutenfrei." I received a sandwich with gluten instead. I realized after a few bites and I am celiac so this was not pleasant. I went back in to ask if it is glutenfree and the lady at counter said I never ordered "glutenfrei". She did not come up with a solution and kept defending it was my fault. Not allergy-friendly.

Not really clean and the staff are very slow and always chatting while the customers wait. The juices always taste different but always good

This is my second time here. Ideally located in the leisure district, this is one of the chillest places to have breakfast. The exorbitant prices are maybe just a Swiss thing. I had Joe's Club and The Iron Man. Both were delicious. Thry have free WiFi and seats are comfortable. They accept all cards and are multilingual.

Me and my kids always enjoyed shakes and sandwiches here. Today i was unpleasantly surprised by the extremely dirty WC with no soap and bad customer service. When I was picking my sandwich from the counter the half of my sandwich slipped from my hands and fell on the floor. The guy who served me was very annoyed by this and when I asked him to make me another one looked very unhappy what made my kids very uncomfortable. I’m not sure about other branches in Switzerland but in US or UK paying customer would never receive such an attitude and probably will be given a sandwich for free. We used to love this place after biking, but won’t come back in the nearest future

Cappuccino for 6.50 actually gives hope for quality. A quality that neither the coffee, nor the paper cup that I receive without asking, nor the uncomfortable, loud and hectic atmosphere do justice to. Once and never again. Update: still loud, but this time the coffee was quite good. Still a bit expensive, but still the best in the area.

Service, friendliness and cleanliness are a foreign word here!

We tried before several times the coffee and juices from the location in Zurich downtown. Here the coffe was not that good and they were only serving in cardboard cups (we wanted to stay in and drink in regular coffe mug). Cappuccino with almond milk was mediocre.

10 out of 10 just fantastic! Best juice I've ever had, everything always fresh and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately they are only available in Zurich city…

Super fine food but unfortunately also super unfriendly staff. They don't say hello, don't smile and seem as if they would rather have another job... I was also given back 5.00 francs in 50 centime pieces... what a shame about the fine food...

I keep giving Joe another chance like a bad boyfriend. But always disappointing. Dirtier and messier than it should be. Coffee isn’t good enough to overlook it.

This was my favourite place to visit for coffee whilst visiting Zurich. Coffee was much like what is available in Australia - delicious!

Overall a very good place, coffee and juice are great. Sometimes the line can be a bit long and when you are sensitive to sound you will notice the juice machine when sitting inside!

Working in this company is my dream I would love to be a juicer one day at joe&juice

left my sunglasses there and it took them 10 days to respond - there is no telephonenumber. of course they have not been found. juices and sandwiches are good but thats just not enough.

I have been to all the locations in the city and had nice juices and sandwiches but today is the 2nd time I had a bad experience from this location. Their spicy thuna sandwich was bad. Just oil and I thought the fish tasted weird and now having a stomach ache. The time before was with their chicken sandwich, the meat was bad and stank and since it was delivery they had to take it back. Even the smoothie had overripe fruit today. Do you guys not check the due dates here? How come this never happens at your other locations in Zurich and in other countries and continents?

Great refreshing drinks at Zürich prices...

Located in the shopping and leisure district of Sihlcity, we got takeaway at Joe & the Juice after always seeing this around Europe and the US but never trying. We finally gave it a shot... Staff are friendly and service was quick. Sandwiches, coffee and juices were all good. We were happy with our order. We had the tuna and chicken avocado sandwiches which were tasty, cappuccino was solid and the Go Away Doc juice definitely felt like it gave us a health boost!

Good location, good products but absolutely inefficient service. A friendly dozen of customers is not enough. 5 minutes to serve an espresso at the serving counter is too long when it's just me and one other person there. Individual drinks are expensive, but they have a professional coffee machine. Coffee was good. A pity.

Love the juice, hate the coffee. The staff are just not trained baristas and often serve sloppy coffees; the coffee hasn’t been tampered properly, making for a sad espresso. The milk is too hot and not foamed or poured correctly. As a barista myself it’s simply painful to watch. I’d expect more for an expensive coffee. Also, they should really stop using plastic cups for persons having their juice in the cafe.

I like it. Delicious selection, nice service. Sometimes it takes a while, but I don't think it's that dramatic. When there is a lot going on and there are only two of them. Anyone who can do better should just apply ;) I can't sign the rating because of the mask. There was absolutely no fuss with us and we even noticed that people were treated really nicely there. I ordered an Açai Bowl and received a package that corresponds to 1/4 of a normal sized one usually is (ej, go to a proper Açai place in Zurich... and see the size difference) Second, it was half full (or half empty...) Oh and a third one, I ate it and apart from the dimension/size qualities stated, the taste was also strange, usually it's has a dark purple color. Well, this one had light purple and soft flavor so apart from being 1/4th and halved it was also cut-down too... I do not know who do you buy the Açai from, but please change the provider & increase the ration to match the "minimum standard"... otherwise, stop selling it at all, as it's not helping your business. So it was a micro-micro Açai bowl... not happy at all and you have lost a customer today. To add, I needed to make up for my unsatisfied Açai need and got a normal Açai. I uploaded some comparison pictures in package size and filling up. Also the content of normal was 631 gr vs 134 gr from Joe & the Juice. Just tried to make the complaint as objective as possible, hope it helps. 😊

Fine juices and hot sandwiches. Same menu as elsewhere in Europe at J&TJ. Price wise.

Very frustrating client experience. Entered the juice bar, waited 5 minutes in front of an empty desk watching someone making sandwiches and left. The bartender saw me come in but didn’t say a word nor tried to know what I wanted to order. Place was empty. One customer already served. Won’t go back - prices are overrated and staff is apparently not interested in customers ;-)

Small portions and overpriced. We had an 9 year old kid with us who wanted nothing only bread and chicken and they still charged us for a full club sandwich. Sandwiches are ok but there are better options available. We were all still hungry after our meals.

I used to go there often, good coffee and fresh juices. Apparently people who cannot put on a mask for health reasons are not being served, as I was informed earlier. No go, pure discrimination. Next, probably only vaccinated people. And then what, no overweight people, or people of other origins, or what? Sad and ugly behavior. You respond one day after my bad review and ask me to contact you. I did this the same day and nothing happened. What's that supposed to mean? Just leave it alone instead of trying to give the impression that you would respond to criticism. Not to mention that discrimination and coercion are not legal.

Ideal for me, they have oat milk and make good and vegan latte macchiato. Friendly young employees always serve you 👍.

The place has a nice vibe. Good juices. A bit on the expensive side. What put me off is that they are always served in plastic cups even if you sit down.

The staff really NAILED IT today.. I’m a frequent customer at J&J’s at several of there locations in zurich. Today two guys were serving, they were naturally friendly, gladly accommodated my taste when i asked to personalize my smoothie and were suuuper duper quick! This is the kinda staff i would employ! Juice was super nice! Unfortunately, the Acai Bowl didn't have a single paid add. When I asked, I at least got a sorry!

Very good and fresh products. A bit overpriced and the staff could be nicer, but overall I recommend it.

My girlfriend and I are regular Joe & The Juice’s customers and we’ve been to their branches all around the world (NYC, London, Singapore, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and now Switzerland). We really love the brand and the idea and would highly recommend their juices. A couple of points of feedback relevant to this particular store. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one girl serving which is clearly not enough given the number of customers. As a result, we had to wait quite a bit because they were understaffed. Secondly, prices are slightly higher than in other countries but I guess that is because it’s Switzerland? 🤷‍♂️. Overall, the experience was positive and in line with other Joe & The Juice branches.

The cafe latte is expensive and just okay in taste. Unfortunately a bit too hot to drink right away. The babychino is a rip off. It's the same price as a cafe latte (same amount of milk but no shot of espresso - yup, the cup is not even full of milk). The smallest size set me back 4.50! To add insult to injury, the milk was too hot for my toddler to drink. :'(

Went there for the first time this week to buy a sandwich menu. Good advice. Of course I took a sandwich home with me. Oh, the Spicy Tuba Sandwich was delicious. Yammy.... This also after a 45 minute Auro ride. By the way, the employees are very friendly. Will definitely come back.

Nice place, good coffee. But music is quite loud, hard to work

A nice shop, stylishly decorated. There is a great selection of drinks and small snacks. We felt comfortable there, of course around closing time he cleaned around us quite a bit, but tactfully! It was sometimes a bit loud when he had to prepare a smoothie or juice in the blender, which happened often. A quieter device and adding the ice cubes briefly at the end would make a lot of difference. But they were delicious! It's also a shame that you don't offer to serve the smoothie in a glass if you enjoy it there. I think it's a shame at a time when people are paying more and more attention to that. The hot chocolate was served in a cup, great.

Good coffee for adults, great tasting juice for kids - and they were willing to adapt for kids' taste and split into two cups. Little things like these always make going to cafes with kids easier and nicer...

So, a very cozy place with friendly people (both employees and visitors). We were there with a small child and that wasn't a problem, everything was really easy. Thank you for your commitment and your great fruit juices 🤩 we will definitely be back!

Good service and cozy atmosphere and good drinks and food. All good if you grab something to go or don’t stay too long, because the music is so loud, it’s difficult to talk or concentrate. Maybe this was the store’s intention but it’s very annoying. If the shop wants people to stay for their drink, food and enjoy the atmosphere, perhaps check out how music is playing at other cafes or restaurant.

So when I look at how bored and annoyed the employee is, I'll go somewhere else next time. It's a hassle when you have to put your cell phone aside for a moment because of customers! Sorry, but when I see an employee behind the counter resting his elbows on the counter and shaking his head as customers come in, I lose my desire for juice.
