The waiter had a bad attitude and all the food was thrown away

Traditional food in the old town; good quality and fast and friendly service.

Good fitness plate. Unfortunately a bit too much celery salad and few other varieties for a mixed salad. Price-performance ratio is ok.

Fast, efficient service serving very poor quality food. The place as well as the meat smell of old and reused oil. The ventilation of the room is very poor. To avoid. Here is my opinion, following repeated requests from staff.

This was a very pleasant experience in Zurich. The restaurant serves traditional cuisine and seems to me to be visited by the locals, which is a good sign. The food was very tasty and delicious with well balanced flavours. We liked the beer as well. The waiter was attentive and helpful. The service was super quick. I recommend to reserve a table, as it is a quite busy restaurant. Highly recommend.

This is swiss/german food. The veal and pork cordon blue was great. Big plates enough to share if you are not that hungry. Nice beers and good service.

A wonderful place for dinner to conclude a beautiful day. I recommend the Geschnetletes (Sliced pork in a sauce with potatoes). Inside and outside seating is available. It was a mild evening so I sat outside. The menu offers a good variety of options. The wine and other beverages are also great. Nasir provided excellent service!

Typical Swiss restaurant with the usual staples. We had rösti, wienerschnitzel, and beer. They carry Bügel beer which is my favorite Swiss beer. The restaurant is located in the middle of the old town. Temper your expectations on the service and the meal will be enjoyable.

A very good and affordable place to eat.

I often have the takeout meal for lunch. Portions are good, they add a salad and soup too. For 20 CHF in the middle of Zurich this is amazing

If you're still hungry late in the evening, you should eat a kebab instead. I ordered a Schnipo, it was disgusting!!! The fries were fine and the schnitzel was only OEL.. They put the schnitzels in the deep fryer along with the fries, that's not possible!!! You make schnitzel with a little oil in the pan...! You should avoid this menu... My friend had the bacon rosti, the bacon was covered in gristle. Therefore also inedible... Normally we finish the plate, but we left it half full. The restaurant used to be much better. I don't want to be racist, but I doubt that foreign chefs from the East have our traditional cuisine under control... It was disappointing for us and the last time...

It's always a small event to spontaneously go out to eat here. You are warmly welcomed and escorted to the table. The menu selection does not only suit tourists. There are fresh salads, racks of lamb and super fine schnitzels here. What I love most is the Leberli with crispy Rösti. Or maybe the cheese spaetzli.

Good food, would personally recommend the hash browns. Beautiful large round tables for a social gathering for up to ~8 people.

The male clerk wearing glasses is very enthusiastic ☺️❤️ He comes over from time to time to care about whether the meal is delicious, whether he wants to add extras, etc. The atmosphere in the store is warm. I came with a tour group this time. I want to try their tap beer if I have the chance🍻👍

Excellent experience! Food was incredible - highly recommend the Appenzeller Käse Spätzli with shoulder ham and onions, baked with cheese (Spätzle with ham, cheese, and onions). Also the Geschnetzeltes Zürcher Art mit Rösti (pork Zürich style with mushroom cream sauce and Rösti potatoes). The service was excellent and they even provided us with an umbrella because it was pouring outside when we went to walk back to our hotel. So kind, amazing food!

Creamy schnitzel with butter noodles is ok, but the meat is a bit tough. Schnitzel fries don't work at all. The fries are ok, the schnitzel is inedible. I have no idea what the problem is... whether the oil is 2 weeks old or something else, but it tastes kind of poisonous.

Ordered the cordon blue schnitzel, it tasted musty. The Rösti with egg is a large tasteless mess with one tiny fried egg. Reduce the size of the Rösti, season it and add another egg. Onion sauce was not homemade. Only plus was the Gulash soup but it’s 12 CF for a small bowl… Would not return

Service is excellent and the food is really good. Everyone is so helpfull and warm. We tried the traiditional swiss meals and all are delicious. Highly recommended

Delicious Swiss classics with some options you won't find elsewhere. Service was super efficient and friendly. Food came out quickly and hot, though we dined on the early side of the evening.

A dinner that will certainly not remain etched in my mind. Typical place, where we ate some traditional Zurich dishes, like my rosti with veal and mushrooms.

Stumbled upon this restaurant in Zurich and was happy to find out that they offer set lunches (super affordable compared to other restaurants we see along the street). We had their pork sausage with rosti and their beer and it was really good. Glad that we stumbled upon this restaurant as their service was top notch as well. We totally enjoyed our lunch here!

I had Ramschnitzel, which went well with the mushroom sauce and was delicious when eaten with pasta noodles. NASIR kindly helped us calculate each one.

The portions on the menu are very large, there are no small ones. Take a can with you for leftovers.

One of the best Bradwurst dishes I had. Their sauce is amazingly done! Nasir has been a very friendly and helpful server. I would definitely visit again sometime soon!

‼️Classic tourist trap‼️ Exaggerated price: for 2 schnitzels 77 ch. Living in Switzerland I know for a fact that this is not the standard price for a restaurant. Basic quality and the tables are too close together so the waiters always bang on the chairs where people are sitting to get through.

A wonderful experience that exceeded my expectations. Great service, excellent food, very attentive waiter who answered all our questions, even using a translator and mixing English with German and Spanish. I recommend it and if I return to Zurich I will definitely come again for lunch or dinner. Really worth it and a very reasonable price.

It was a great experience as I come to Switzerland for the first time. The manager greeted me with a smile and showed me to my table. My server was Nasir who was very helpful and very friendly. Heard a lot of rumours about the Swiss being rude. Well, no. This nice restaurant was my best experience in Europe so far.

If you want to make a reservation for multiple people, make a reservation next to the restroom. It's narrow Ah, the menu just changed with the Chinese kids haha.

My husband and I ordered the liver with hash browns. It was really great, I haven't eaten such good liver in a long time. The children ordered Rösti and were thrilled too. I also found the price reasonable. This restaurant is highly recommended for a city trip.

Is this a somewhat tourist-y restaurant? Undoubtedly. Is the food still well priced and tasty? Also yes! We visited here for schnitzel and "Zurich Spatzli", and both were very tasty whilst also not being too expensive for the location.

I was a bit late to the restaurant due to work but Nasir was willing to take me to the table. We’ve ordered pork knuckles and pork sausage, taste wonderful and nothing much to complain! Special shoutout to Nasir who has served us with lots of passion!

The restaurant is very busy, often full and more noisy than cozy. The kitchen is well organized and the few waiters are quick and friendly. They accept customer requests and are also in the mood to have fun. The prices are very moderate for Zurich. The food we had was freshly prepared and everyone enjoyed it. The grappa is served at the table with a show, highly recommended. We visit the Johanniter often and can only recommend it. Reservation is required.

Best of Zurich. Moli best waiter in the service she speaks many languages. Russian, Turkish English, German etc.

6 of us had dinner on Friday evening, despite the pre-Christmas stress and the full restaurant, great service, food was prompt and very good price-performance ratio, really good, the staff was always friendly and well-positioned, that's how gastronomy is fun...and also has an effect on the tip (this is for any competition that may be reading along)

The tourist office recommends this restaurant to us as we were looking for some local swiss cuisine to try out. The location is definitely a plus, it’s situated in Zurich’s old town and it’s in walking distance of old famous attractions to visit. Most of the staff are friendly and with a smile. The restaurant is big and comfy enough for big groups and families. The food is good, the veal liver specials was a delightful surprise. However do not order the raclette which is more than basic and does not come with hams which should be the default

We just came here for beers (2x 1.5 litre jugs for two). Brilliant. We have been here before for beer, and it's perfect. Big place and a nice and small selection that I like. So yes... ready for diner somewhere else :-)

Even though we were a group of 8 people, we were served friendly and quickly. A nice menu with hearty dishes. Food was good. Except all dishes with cream sauce had a slightly special taste. Oriental touch?! That took a lot of getting used to.

By far the best Zurich Geschnetzeltes that I have ever eaten! It was so delicious that I asked for the bill relatively early so I wouldn't order another portion. 🙈 The consistency and taste of the spaetzle was great, the sauce harmonized 100% with the spaetzle, the meat and the cheese and was enough for a 5 star rating on its own. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, even though it was very full and we managed to get one of the last three free tables. Unfortunately I live far too far away, otherwise I would probably become a regular guest.

The food was good. Home cooking. However, there was little to no salt, which is a shame. The food also lacks its own distinctive note. Overall, it was good and tasty, but much more could be done. The service ladies are very, very friendly and attentive! Thank you dear ones. The atmosphere is relatively sparse. Absolutely a subjective opinion but I was missing a little more “warmth”. Otherwise recommended. Thank you and see you again soon.
