Good croissant for three euro! Pricey but no alternative

We made a pre-order for the "Le Frambolat" cake for a birthday party. The cake was unique, balanced and also beautifully and simply decorated. Everyone really liked the cake and we highly recommend this.

Everything is delicious. From telephone reception to receiving treats, everything is perfect. We feasted. Price of 4.5 CHF on average per pastry. 32 CHF the saint honors 4 people (in 2024 34 CHF), individual pastry at 8.5 CHF. The prices are Zurich but a lot of work put in. Well done. 2024: we tested the cereal baguette and classic baguette. Very good but a little expensive. The croissant with apricot jam is generous and delicious.

Simply the best ... No need to travel to Paris anymore!!!

There wasn't much variety, the ones we ate didn't have a taste that would make a difference. Still, the croissant with chocolate and vanilla cream was not bad..

Everything we had here, bread, croissants and sandwiches were delicious. Only downside is that it felt very expensive for the size of the food. Otherwise very good.

Bought to take away. The apricot and raspberry peaks as well as the natural brioche are of excellent quality. Both the structure and the filling are perfect. The croissants have a fruitiness and aroma that can hardly be found anywhere else. The upper price segment is justified at this level of quality. We recommend!

A self-service restaurant, without ambience. 1 cafe cream and 1 capuccino cost 12 francs. Very expensive.

Great food, with the best patisserie in town. Also croissants & bread are very good. The personnel is mostly friendly, with some unfortunate exceptions. They do value high quality food. The prices are accordingly very high, even above most other artisan bakeries. So why only two stars? For their price point I expect great food and great service. And I just recently learned to always ask for the reseat in this shop! I bought four items and thought the price is rather high, even for this bakery. They did not give me a reseat by default, so I had to ask for it (twice actually). Upon checking it, I found it contained five items, i.e. they overcharged me. Upon complaining they did return the money. When I kept looking at them (expecting an apology), I was explained that they just returned me the overcharged amount. This left me without words - it felt to me like it was normal for them to have this happen? It certainly isn't normal for me. I could remember once having an incorrect item on a restaurant's bill (dinner for six people), but never in a bakery. Furthermore, I had (more than once) personnel in the evening recommending me the morning batch of croissants as „fresh“. I have tried once, and (of course), its simply not true, they were stale as it would the case with every croissant sitting on the shelf for a day.

The cakes tasted really good. Unfortunately, the chocolate croissant was already quite dry at 4 p.m. - i.e. 1 point deducted.

Prices totally exorbitant. Two slices of ham, some cheese and white bread for 9.90!!! That I don't laugh... Never again!

The pastry is very fine. The cappuccino would have to be reworked by a barrister! For the second time we had a lukewarm, light coffee with milk and foam. The price of Fr. 6.50 is also too high for this small cup!

Worst croissants I've ever eaten. The knives were dirty. I felt like I was eating at a gas station because it was so uncomfortable. The service wasn't the best either.

The baguette is not bad but the price is excessive… 6 francs for a baguette no but hello where are we?! Prices should be reviewed. It's really a shame.

You could close your eyes and take a bite of the croissant and immediately be transported to Paris! There isn't a thing I have eaten here that isn't of the highest quality! The ham and cheese sandwich is divine! The space is clean and inviting and the staff friendly! I just wish I lived close enough to pop by every day!

This is a recent find for me and it was love at first sight. The bakery is top; croissants, tartlets and bread - amazing! I love the fact that you can also sit there and have a quick brunch or breakfast. I find it to be a bit on the pricey side, and this is comparing it to other bakeries in town, like John Baker, etc. but the products they have do stand out, so I guess it’s more about: do you want to pay extra to get an extra quality product. Coffee is good too! Really love the look and feel of the place too. You should go check it out.

Great Bakery and the coffee is good too

We arrived on Sunday the district was very quiet (I think it is considered to be in financialdistrict). It was only a five min walk from the Park Hyatt. When we searched Google maps for a nearby coffee shop, it did not come up in results ( you may want to update your profile). Thankfully a local sent us to you for coffee. Definitely enjoyed it and went twice during our 2 1/2 day stay.

I was just in the shop on Bleicherweg. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the food was so delicious that I decided to give it a good review. I would be happy to come here again. 😊 Thank you!

It really is a very nice French pastry shop compared to here, everything is delicious. The place is quite large and spacious, and the prices are quite reasonable.

Very nice staff and multiple options. They have a wide variety of pastries. I highly recommend the eclairs and the pain au chocolat. The apricot croissant was okayish. The almond croissant was good too. Right next to the tram stop.

I was given a baking course for my birthday and I was really looking forward to it. Despite booking more than 2 months in advance, they forgot about my participation, so I wasn't allowed to attend the booked date. A refund of the money cannot be promised either. Never been so disappointed and the service is subpar. Hands off!

Ordered a Tarte Tatin for 8, which they delivered with extra treats. Delicious dessert for our Thanksgiving dinner

Coffee poor. Ordered espresso macchiatos (decaf & regular) but came out as American style (tall glasses). Also made with powder, not fresh espresso extraction. Tasted terrible unsurprisingly.

Alas, we are getting closer to French mediocrity! The bread is fresh in the morning but if you buy later it's the same all day. Prices are expensive for fairly mundane things. The croissant, although buttered, is rather dry and never looks the same! Filled croissants are disgusting....all that glitters is not gold.... Iced coffees, probably the most expensive in town but without ice and without Twinnings coffee and tea. Too bad because many local farms offer great ones! I've never had the same drink twice....the takeaway coffee is ridiculously small...for average quality. . If you take away, the pseudo fancy artisanal packaging is not up to the price and what's more, I was given a stained package which was pretty average as a gift. (although we don't eat the packaging, there is a minimum of respect for the customer). Lots of people behind this counter but nothing very efficient. Non-existent service. The prices of a beautiful tea room but we have to manage alone... too bad because French cuisine is one of the best in the world, with these prices I prefer to take the TGV or eat something at Vollenweider...

Self service, very friendly and helpful behind the counter... The particles are so delicious, absolutely recommended if you want a break for a coffee or tea in between.

Juliette is a nice boulangerie located not too far from Paradeplatz. Particularly busy at the weekend, but with a chance of finding some place to sit. I really liked the pastry selection - one can tell it’s France from every corner. Definitely more stocked compared to many other bakeries in Zurich, and with a chance to find interesting variations such as colourful croissants and sofisticate small pastries. Of course prices are on the high end, but overall in line with the competition and location. Still, if you take some different things, it turns expensive pretty quickly (we paid 40 francs for below). My almond croissant was as good as I expected it to be. Same for the flan, which was a nice discovery. I was personally surprised tough when they told me that they either had cappuccinos or espresso - still one can “make” their own coffee by asking to add an extra shot (é.g. an espresso can become a doppio, a cappuccino can turn flat white), which of course will reflect in a higher price. What I believe the staff has to work on (hence the 3 stars review) is managing their work flow in stressful situations. We ordered a savoury quiche and after 15 minutes we still didn’t have it (because it needed to be warmed up). We figured they might have forgotten, however, when asking (we asked twice with some distance in between) we got mixed explanations (“the microwave wasn’t working”, or “it takes long” when I thought that it’s impossible for a precooked product to take that long to be simply warmed up). Maybe this was the case, so we tried to understand. Disappointing because it still came nearly cold (the center was very cold). At that point you don’t want to complain again, so you just eat it. It tasted really good anyways. Had I ordered to take away, I wouldn’t have cared that much about the service, but, as we found a table,we found this episode to be a pity in the overall experience. Also there is no water dispenser, no coffee comes with water, so be ready to purchase a bottle. In the end, no matter how good the product is, I consider the full experience. So, I would definitely recommend it (very good, but personally, in line with the competition), just be ready to occasionally wait some time. A recommendation to the staff from a person who worked in service and knows the stress of the weekend, to perhaps be better coordinated and work more in sync.

Way too expensive, and above all nothing like French pastries. By the way, a croissant stuffed with jam is heresy. And what about the service… ineffective.

Sweets are way too sweet. it’s also weird that we were queuing and other people behind me got served before us, who arrived into an empty shop and stayed at the cashier with my kids. ah and i asked to eat in but she packed everyrhing to go, then unpacked the pastry, breaking and dropping the pains au chocolats before putting them on a plate.

Were there for the first time today. The waitress behind the counter seemed very annoyed. Coffee and croissant were ok and the quiche was still cold after warming up in the oven.

No atmosphere, bare and cool, service ok, selection okay

Service needs to be reconsidered, chaotic and poorly organized. -1 person at the checkout - 1-2 people having coffee - 2 people in service. Above all, you are not allowed to serve the different tables and then touch the bread with your hands. Not even if you have a glove on and then grab the bread with your other hand! 😂🙈

Not my favourite place. I bought a couple of times the sourdough bread. It was both times too chewy and didn't taste fresh. You can find better in Zürich. The croissant lacked the traditional flakiness. Service is fast, but not very welcoming.

Nice concept, slightly less realisation. Let me start by saying that we went for breakfast and that we arrived around 11:30. Well assorted pastries, very pleasing to the eye and good. Basic appearance of the place as well as the service. Prices a little high for coffee (flat white 7.50 without latte art). I will most likely go back but for a take away☺️

Overpriced for basic pastries and unfriendly service. Cashier interrupted my order and then went away to pick the pastry just to put the wrong croissant into the bag. I wasn‘t done ordering and then she told me why I didn‘t tell her the full order because now the pastry bag was too small to fit more.

Felt like a business person cafe. Nicely dressed patrons (business attire). breads and pastries (very very fancy) and coffee. Table Service.

The croissants (CHF 3.-) are not crispy and the milk in the flat white (CHF 7.50) is poorly foamed. The unsatisfactory quality does not justify the high prices.

Great desserts. Croissants are on the dry end but buttery. Coffee is bad (burnt my tongue of the cappuccino) and too expensive considering the quality.

Selling mediocre baguettes at these prices is almost an impertinence. Not very crusty, rubbery and the bread not airy at all.

I ordered a cake and picked it up from this branch. The saleswoman asked me if I needed a bag, to which I said yes. Then she pulled out a paper bag that was obviously too small. They don't have a bag in a different size... which is why I had to carry the cake manually because the box is too big. It can't be that you don't have a suitable carrier bag for buying a cake that is packed in uniform boxes anyway? I find this unprofessional and ill-thought out. Maybe you can learn from Sprüngli or Bachmann in this regard.

From the moment you walk in you can tell that this bakery values quality. The space is very spacious, inviting, and clean, and the staff is super friendly. I was surprised at how many creative creations they have, and all their pastries and cakes looked exquisite. The only reason I’m deducting a star is because they didn’t have any regular croissants or pains au chocolat, which were what I wanted. They do have them normally though, so I’ll go back to try them another time! I ended up getting a raspberry croissant instead, which was good, but had too much filling for my taste (that’s just personal preference though). Keep up the great work :))

In reality, I wish I could rate say 3.8 stars but 4 is too much. Like many places in Zurich, it is overpriced and the quality level just doesn't match the price. I'm ok to pay higher, but it really needs to be excellent given the specialty of the cafe. Croissants and pastries are average. I hope they improve and/or lower the price as there are just too many other choices around as good or better less expensive.

Have already tried some patisserie, croissants & viennoiserie. While the price is rather higher, the quality is good and the taste trumps many other bakeries/patisseries.

Amazing pastry gave amazing touch to our party! I have received so many compliments from the guests loving all 4 cakes: Mille-Feuilles, Royal au chocolat, Tarte aux fruits, a customised gluten-free option: Pavlova mango-pineapples. Owner Nicolao was very friendly and helpful in providing what I needed. Definitely would come back for next sweet treats.

Great bakery, great selection, clean, but rather expensive

Disappointing! There are definitely better baguettes to buy in the city. We also expected more from the eclair. The filling is heavy and very sweet.

We received a very friendly welcome and the restaurant is very nice. The iced coffee with lavender honey was delicious and the variety of bakeries and cakes is great. Very welcoming, 100% recommended! Bonne journee!

Fine baguettes and croissants like in France!

Unfortunately, disappointment. Their pastries are just fine, far away from delicious, buttery ones that we might find in France. Too expensive for the quality. The atmosphere there is cold, not cosy or comfy at all. Same disappointing experience with an arrogant staff’s behavior. There are much better spots in Zurich.

We were there on Saturday during the opening week. Bought 3 croissants and a piece of puff pastry. Almost 20.00 francs, so overpriced... which is unfortunately common in Zurich. Service was very slow and sluggish, not a Zurich rhythm. Friendliness, medium also Zurich style. Conclusion: The croissants were just mediocre, not appropriate, sufficiently baked (I'm an expert), a lot of air in the dough. Price high, goods low. Ambiance Modern but not comfortable in our opinion.

One of the best chocolate cakes I’ve ever had ! So rich and full of flavor … staff is amazing and so friendly, and the store is at a corner with full exposure which makes the experience even better !! Highly recommend it 👌🏼👌🏼

Unfortunately I can only judge the products visually. Everything looks very nice. I would actually have liked to try one or the other. The problem, however, was the service. When I came into the store there were 2 other customers there. Of the three people who work in the store, no one felt the need to greet or serve me!!! After about 5 minutes of waiting and still no attention, I left the store and bought my goodies at Sprüngli. I would recommend that you massively improve the service. Especially when a croissant costs an impressive CHF 3.

5.50.- the baguette that is nothing like a French baguette The raspberry croissant is a mass of jam surrounded by (bizarrely flaky?) dough, impossible to finish. You definitely had to try to follow the hype, but there’s no point in going back.

What a shame! It's a shame that the croissant with almonds and the baguette are yesterday's news. The price is very high and the bread is old. I bought 2 croissants and a baguette, all from the day before. I am very disappointed! Unfortunately, this is a bakery I will not be visiting again.

First time I've come. Everything yesterday was really disappointing. When I pay 4.5chf for a croissant and 7chf for a baguette, I expect it to be fresh that day. Or at least have a promotion. Disappointing first time...

Great French Boulangerie in Zurich!!

Juliette is an authentic french boulangerie in the heart of zurich. They informed me that they use exclusively french flour which adds to the taste of the product. In addition, their baker is a young and talented french-man creating fantastic stuff. Their products are rather on the pricy side but the price is justifiable through the quality and taste.

Good coffee, amazing pastries and friendly service.

Very nice place and amazing staff. However, I found croissants a bit dry. Certainly not the best in town as someone wrote.. cappuccino was decent (not burned as someone wrote). Will be back for their beautiful desserts some time soon!

For a private event in the evening, the Juliette team took over the location and catering and the guests loved the ambience and the quality of the products. Gladly again!

On Monday morning at 5/22/23 at 11:30 a.m., I entered the store. I wasn't even looked at, let alone greeted!!! 👎🏻Two saleswomen chatted away happily. I lingered for a while, finally someone came blaring, no greeting, nothing. What do you want?? Staff training is urgently needed here. An absolute no go!!!! I wanted something with rhubarb, it wasn't available! I actually wanted to buy some bread, but I forgot... once and never again! 👎🏻👎🏻Continue to buy from John Baker, the service there is great and friendly...

I went twice. Both times in the afternoon. Everything looks great!! But I wonder if it s just my impression that the pastries were very dry both times. They did not taste fresh. On top of that, they are outrageously priced. So.. dont think i ll go there again.

We had the pain au chocolat, raspberry croissant and tarte au citron. The raspberry croissant was really good and not too sweet. A great creation. The pain au chocolat wasn't very special, but it was good. The Tarte au Citron, however, was also very tasty. Also the staff was very friendly.
