Very beautifully and detailed decorated café. We had an étagere for afternoon tea. Allergies were discussed in advance and good alternatives were offered. Very friendly and very tasty.

I had to cancel at short notice due to a family medical emergency. I described this to her in an email, apologized and asked if the reservation could be postponed. Unfortunately, the answer was a long, very unfriendly and absolutely not empathetic/understanding answer. I find such a cheeky attitude to be neither service-oriented nor humane.

In the heart of Winterthur's old town, almost a bit hidden, you can find Café Lou Salomé at Schulgasse 7. As soon as I walk out the door I notice that this is a very special place. When you enter the restaurant, the journey begins back to the Art Nouveau period. Everything here is set up with so much passion and love and I discover things that haven't been around for generations. All tables, if not occupied, were reserved for tea time. I was kindly invited to sit at one of the reserved tables. There is still time for a fine cappuccino and a piece of delicious cake until the people for whom it is reserved arrive. I felt very comfortable here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the great ambience and the warm hospitality, extremely friendly and attentive service and, above all, the home-baked cake. Thank you for everything.

Really nice, hearty coffee with friendly service and fair prices. Highly recommended! There are also always small events here such as the “storytelling salon”. It's worth taking a look at the coffee's website/social media channels!

Absolute secret tip for everyone who likes to enjoy homemade delicacies in a beautiful Art Nouveau ambience. Here everything was and is baked and created with a lot of personal commitment. I look forward to further visits.

In this café with its charming hostess you can immerse yourself in the time of the turn of the last century, the Belle Epoque. And I can absolutely recommend the tea and cakes... :-)
