KLAUS Confiserie Café in Bülach

The “Sprüngli” in the lowlands. The quality is excellent and the service is perfect. The prices are correspondingly high! But I love the braid and the Bülizwetschgen! You can never get enough of the cakes either. It's worth making the journey.

Always worth a visit! Expectations are exceeded!

A year ago I was very excited about this braid and gave it 5 stars. Now I was in Bülach again and of course went back to Klaus. 7.90 for a braid is totally overpriced, even Sprüngli doesn't charge that much. In terms of taste, it's about at the level of Lidl industrial braids and on Sunday it was already gathering dust and drying out. A lot goes wrong with Klaus, which is why he went down from 5 stars to 2. I actually wanted to go down to junk level but the braid is pretty. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing about it.

The new “manufactory” can only be described as a failure. The pastries are light and soggy and miles away from confectionery art. It's a shame, because now even the Fleischli is better than what Klaus Kafi offers there. If you have the choice, visit neither. The pastries can no longer be distinguished from discounters.

Great place, wonderful and delicious things made with a lot of love. I'd love to come back again and again.

Also great for those affected by celiac disease. They make take away possible for celiacs. Quark & ​​salads with great sauce as well as sweet pastries without gluten. Bravo. A bit expensive, but worth it.

You have to bring your drink to the table (a waitress doesn't come), there is no decaffeinated coffee!!! There is no decaffeinated coffee in a cafeteria!! They serve you everything in disposable cardboard dishes as if we were still in a pandemic or it was fast food to save on dishwashing cups and on top of that they charge you 1.50 for a glass of water!!! You don't get that in any cafeteria in Bülach!! A disgusting place, absolutely not recommended!!!

Totally failed concept. Coffee in a 5 star paper cup. Where there was once a bright, airy shop, you now have the feeling of being handled in the back room. Dark, narrow and confusing. You can feel sorry for all the very nice saleswomen. But because there are fewer people, you never have to wait.

Cozy, sensible, in the middle of the city. It would be nice if there was perhaps a vegan piece to go with your coffee

With Klaus you can say that the quality is always consistent and that is a great plus point. What really surprises me is the prices because not all of them are the same in terms of effort or cost of goods, but many baked goods have the same price. Since the renovation, I think it's such a shame that you can't sit anywhere in the interior anymore. And even when you come in, it reminds me more of a museum where everything is dark. I thought it was great that you could buy pieces of cake, now you only get desserts in bowls or japonais etc.

It's a shame the café was closed. It was always nice to stop at Klaus's for a nice drink and then do some shopping afterwards. I don't find the new store convincing. It is very narrow and you can no longer see the products at a glance. It's a real shame that the concept was changed.

Unfortunately, the new concept is not convincing - there is little space and it is difficult if you want to buy something from different areas. Unfortunately, there are no longer any individual pieces of cake and if you buy a whole one and want it cut, you pay extra... that's not customer service

Café Klaus is the coziest café in Bülach. Small and stylish, you can read the newspaper in peace at certain times. The coffee has also been great for some time now, except from my point of view the coffee cream with whipped cream. The croissants are probably the best in the lowlands, not some big company baked goods. Unfortunately, a somewhat complicated self-service concept was introduced in 2021, but this is probably in keeping with the spirit of the times.

Since the renovation, there have been long queues and waits. Unfortunately, the concept is not convincing; everything has become inefficient. Fortunately, the products remained as good as before.

Sometimes it's the details. It is one of the few confectioneries I know that adds paper to just one piece of patisserie so that the delicious dessert is not damaged in the packaging. And that from old employees. For me it's the details that make it. The quality is “outstanding” which also has its price. I could buy half the store every time😎

As always, the quality is very high, we don't need to discuss that. The new store concept is rather questionable and very illogical for me. The salespeople are difficult to see, the space is very tight and the two entrances cause even more confusion. I will come back and hope for a quieter atmosphere, today everything was very hectic and nervous.

Really very disappointing how the whole thing has developed in this once great confectionery. Service is now out of this world, you have to go to the confectionery to order yourself. Worse than in Migros, you have to carry the tableau with the goods you bought down the steps into the café yourself, only then does the coffee or something like that come. Jams like before have been canceled because of Corona. However, I wonder why this still works at Hotz or why it is still possible to make your own in the Migros Restaurant. I have visited the café regularly since 1983 because we were extremely satisfied, but that is now the case. The prices are also out of this world, the caramel latte costs a whopping 7.80 and it wasn't particularly good either. And during our stay there were 4 employees in the confectionery, we didn't get the impression that they were as motivated as they used to be. Unfortunately we didn't decide to leave the restaurant without drinking, that was a mistake.

The friendliness of the employees at this bakery is an experience! Even though the ladies had prepared a whole display case of completely fresh sandwiches, I wanted something different. When I asked, I was told 'of course, of course you can have something else' and it was prepared in no time. The fact that this bakery also has a coffee machine was perfect! So I was able to put together my preferred breakfast and enjoy it in a friendly atmosphere. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by there again! Really recommended.

I ate a very fine vermicelle. I'll be back and I'm already looking forward to it.
