Klein Matterhorn in Zermatt

Greeting? Wondering if it tastes good? Was everything good? Do we still want dessert? When we paid, the boss came and told us to tell us before ordering that we had the blue card. No worries. I'm not coming back anymore. Such bad service! Maybe think about changing jobs :)

The food was very good, pasta with salmon and pasta with shrimps were delicious and delicate, the pizza was also very good. Beautiful view from the terrace. The second time I came for dinner, the service could have been a little more pleasant. It is worth booking a table in advance.

Italian restaurant that you really have to try if you are in Zermatt. Cheap price. The pizzas are huge and very good. The staff are helpful and attentive.

The spaghetti here is good😊👍especially the asparagus and shrimp flavor.

Very fine food, a reservation is an advantage it is very busy. The waiting time is great and the food comes very quickly. The staff is friendly. The ambience is very nice. I can only recommend.

The restaurant is well located, that's the only advantage. If you can get through it, walk a little and go somewhere else! Never experienced such a lousy atmosphere in a restaurant, the owners and the service in the same state of mind, they don't want to work at all. Except, a nod to the adorable waiter Dominico, it's thanks to him that the restaurant still works. In short, they rested their buttocks on what they had acquired thanks to the restaurant's location with a view of the Matterhorn. Regarding the cuisine, nothing extraordinary. Zero effort, products in cans, nothing fresh. Don't give them this pleasure, and look elsewhere.

Watch out!!! Tourist trap!!!!! Red wine (Primitivo) had no depth and tasted like a canister. The salad from the buffet is inedible! The ingredients are old and canned. (beans) Some of the lettuce was already slightly gray on the sides. Salad dressings were from large packages and not homemade. Furthermore, they were NOT cooled!!!!! But stand next to it... An inspector should come by here, unannounced!! 2 stars for the food because of the wood oven. The pizza had no taste and the tomato sauce was unfortunately extremely watery and also very cheap. The olives for a 28CHF pizza were blackened olives from the bulk package. The ingredients were very very cheap. The waitresses were extremely unfriendly and had zero interest in their work. Only the blonde service person was very friendly. Swiss, stay away!!!!! Better to walk 10m further and spend 5 chf more. This store is a disaster. The worst meal by far in Zermatt.

So the view is amazing. You can see the Matterhorn so well. Service takes a while. Guests that came after us were served way before us. We had two 'focaccias' which were pizza dough with toppings and one pizza. The buratta on the focaccia was stone cold and basically just mozzarella. The buffalo mozzarella on the pizza was cold and thrown on after it came out of the oven. The food was left on the counter for a while before it got served (slow servers?) And when we did get it I had a hair in my pizza. Not happy!

Zermatt is expensive, at least for Germans. :) Here at the Klein Matterhorn you can get a really tasty and large fresh stone oven pizza at a good price/performance ratio. The service was excellent, very friendly and funny and was there quickly when you needed it. We'd love to come back.

Best pasta we have had from a restaurant! Large portions but delicious food. Unfortunately we were not given cheese on our takeout but we loved it so much we came back twice.

I chose the menu for workers being here in Zermatt for lunch for work-related reasons, and I must admit with real pleasure that I had a wonderful and very good experience. Already when you enter you feel like you're back home in Italy.... Absolute friendliness and friendliness. Let's move on to the most important point, the cleanliness of all the common places is easily visible to the naked eye, and the food... Excellent! I asked for an encore. Absolutely worth returning every time I'm here for work. Last but not least, perhaps the priority, I eat very spicy food and I asked the owner for some chilli to accompany the dishes... well he brought me some spicy oil from his personal reserve, exemplary behavior of friendliness.

We were in an apartment in Zermatt and were looking for a pizza delivery service. I inquired by phone based on the Zermatt gastronomy take away list (on the internet). Even though it was rush hour, the nice lady took her time, confirmed the delivery service was free and gave us excellent advice on choosing the pizza. The result was very tasty, fresh and came much quicker than expected. We would be happy to order from there again! Since we chose the delivery service, I can't say anything about the ambience...

Reasonably priced for Zermatt, friendly staff and great food, especially the ravioli was SO GOOD. Food was so good we came for lunch and came back again for dinner. Pizzas were made fresh to order and good for 2pax. Plus point to enjoy the view of Matterhorn dining at the patio. Nice place to chill out!

Tired and hungry, this was our first stop after a 3-hour train ride to Zermatt. Quick and friendly service, tasty food, cold beer, nice views, great atmosphere.

I love the Pizzas here! I also like the Pizza Chef, Giuseppe. He is such a cool guy. The pastas are great too!! Great place to eat in Zermatt.

Cheap frozen schnitzel as a children's menu, you don't have to go to the restaurant for that. Pizza OK.

In Zermatt, you would like to find a quiet place where you can see Matterhorn for dinner. Here you can enjoy the quiet of Zermatt and nice pizza and spaghetti. The price is reasonable. It is just opposite to the Matterhorn Express station, easy to find.

Nice view of the Matterhorn, but nothing more. Way too hot inside the restaurant, flies everywhere. Food isn't the best and takes a long time. Two out of five orders were completely forgotten. Very disappointing

The pizza here was very good, and the view of the Matterhorn was exceptional. I'd definitely recommend it for people stopping through Zermatt who want a great view.

Handmade oven-fired pizzas in an Italian family-owned restaurant. So good we ate there twice in our 3-day stay in Zermatt.

We came here for refreshments after a long walk and we liked the fast service and the nice cold beer they served. We did not eat here.

Unfortunately only mediocre. The pizzas were quite boring in terms of taste, but still good enough to eat. The ambience was also quite cheap (plastic chairs). However, the conditions were very friendly and the prices were cheaper than elsewhere (still not much cheaper).

Pizza is blah at best, suppose that explains the lower price that other reviewers are saying. Attached this is not a Margarita pizza which supposedly they say it is. The location is amazing.

Carlo is a wonderful person and very accommodating and the pizzas and all the dishes are delicious. Carlo, the manager, is such a nice person and pro and the food is this restaurant is amazing! Then the pizza chef, Giuseppe, is very good! The pizzailo Giuseppe is sooo good!

A fantastic view of the Matterhorn, especially from the terrace. That's it. Really bad value for money. The dishes are prepared carelessly and of questionable taste, and some of them are already cold. So please ask the staff friendly. To describe the employee's reaction as grossly unfriendly would be praiseworthy. How nice that Zermatt has so many other great, creative, high-quality and friendly restaurants. I'll definitely never come back to the Klein Matterhorn restaurant again.

What a mess. First of all, let's get the good out of the way: the interiors are very nice and we were seated in a room with a gorgeous glass wall with a view on the mountains. It was four of us, I got served within 10 minutes and my pizza had undercooked potatoes as per the photo, possibly the least appetising undercooked ingredient. Two other guests were served 45 minutes after that while the fourth guest was only served (a soup!) after everyone else had finished, one hour later than I got my pizza. Food is mediocre, certainly not worth the money you pay for it. Not awful, I've certainly had worse. Even in Zermatt there are cheaper, tastier options available. I can imagine a normal pizza will be ok, so if you're in for pizza I think you would be ok -- maybe stay clear of the potatoes. Otherwise, I would just avoid, personally.

To America, looks/sounds like a your typical pizza joint, but so much BETTER! Ate here FOUR times in a week. Pasta and risotto was delicious, they made special pizzas for us twice - perfect. Reasonably priced for Zermatt. Service friendly and fast even in a busy restaurant. Nice sunroom dining room.

Very nice Italian restaurant with a view of the Matterhorn. Pizza, pasta are great. But also the Rösti with either cheese or bratwurst.

Very nice pizza and calzone Napolitan style, it was the second time we came on our second year in Zermatt. The place needs a bit of love.

One of the best pizzas we had on Switzerland. Dough was crispy all the way through and didn't get soggy in the middle like some of the other pizza spots in Switzerland. Food came out quick so we could get back on the slopes.

The waiters and owner are very friendly， they give you anything you need. And they also help to heat my baby's hipp instant food so my son do not need to eat cold. The food are very yummy and good value for money. You can see Matterhorn from yard. so nice！

Restaurant with a great view of the Matterhorn. I'm guessing a family business with stone oven pizza. The really good family pizza is recommended in terms of price/performance. Here you can easily get enough for three people. The normal pizza has typical Swiss prices, but here I would like the ingredients to be of slightly higher quality. The buffalo mozzarella as such was hard to taste and the shrimp had no taste. The soup was good.

Food was ok. Service was ok. Map was from 19/20 and the "coolest" things (chateaubriand) were not available "since it wasn't high season". Meat from somewhere but CH.

We ordered 1 sausage with rösti and a cheese crust 🧀 we ate very badly. The sausage was cold, the rösti charred and the crust was cold. To avoid !!!

Amazing pizza, it was so delicious and I will always remember the experience. It's a restaurant that is located near the cable car station and the staff is very nice and always makes sure that you are satisfied with your order.

Absolutely arrogant and uncomprehending! After a hike I was in desperate need and wanted to go to the toilet as quickly as possible. I asked the boss for permission and wanted to pay him something for it. However, he rejected me harshly. What an impossible host! So he didn't gain any guests, but he certainly lost one!!!

This restaurant is ideally located, at the exit of the elevators and next to the departure of the cable cars. It has a very nice terrace with a great view. The restaurant is very pretty and well appointed. In the great room there is a great ceiling. The service is friendly and fast. Plus it's a place where you can meet skiers from several nations who come to train.

Good pizza. Maybe it was a language barrier but the staff wasn’t super welcoming.

Enormous pizza at 44F, which is cheaper than 2 normal size pizzas and approximately the same area as 3 normal pizzas!! Super value for money! If you go for the family size pizza, you can choose ANY flavour and it's still 44F. Onto the pizza: totally fresh ingredients, cooked in the wood oven. Wonderful flavours. The broccoli was cooked to perfection, not overdone nor underdone, which is hard to achieve, and the egg yolk creamy and golden and still runny. Yum! The service: marvellous. They speak German, English and Italian. Friendly and helpful. One of the waiters only really spoke Italian but was so funny and charming that he made up for what he lacked in language knowledge, and I learnt some Italian! . But the main waiting staff are multilingual. They also have a salad buffet that we didn't try, but saw, that looked good, with a variety of about 8-10 ingredients, you fill your plate as you like. Highly recommended place with direct views of the Matterhorn and surrounding hills and an excellent terrace and a lovely interior.

Pizzas are good here, but the restaurant management (manager) was very indifferent on my last visit. Out of 7 people, 3 received their food after a pleasant wait, the other 4 had ordered pizzas. The three of them had already finished their meal and people arrived at two tables after us, but they were all served their pizzas before us. When the boss asked her several times, she never took action, didn't take the matter into account, simply blamed the employees and went back to other guests to chat. Sorry, that doesn't work! The great service had to pull the cart out of the mud on its own. At some point I'll try again and stop there. I will also let you know if it was better and we were just unlucky that evening.

Best place to eat in Zermatt, superior quality and the right price. Been there for lunch just came back for dinner. Highly recommended!

Location is good with a view of the Matterhorn, but everything else is rather bad. The menu is confusing, if you want salad you have to get the salad and sauce yourself at the buffet, service when you come in is disastrously uninterested, unfriendly, service when eating isn't much better, unfriendly, didn't ask how it was, etc... Pizza edible, not special dough either burnt or not yet heated through, it's bland, tastes like nothing... it's a shame... we'll definitely not be seen here again and will leave the place to the Germans!! 😉 I skipped the tip and took a taxi instead.

I saw a couple of reviews who raised question marks about the service. Totally no problem. They were lovely, and so was the food. We'll be back in over the week. Thank you! Edit: we were back several times over the week as its very close to our hotel. Great place and atmosphere, and the menu is so versatile, there's something for everyone, every time!

Great service, friendly and Italian hospitable. You also notice this from the many Italians inside. There is a wide choice of wines. Dishes are well priced. Pizzas super well topped and tasty.

Always good to sit here on the massive terrace on a sunny day & have some of Zermatt’s best pizzas & beer while looking at the Matterhorn. ❤️‍🔥

The seafood tastes great. Other restaurants close at 8 o'clock, but this one opens later. I didn't get the COVID-19 certificate in time, so I had to take out food. The service is also very good.

Very well maintained restaurant if you like pizza there is a wide selection of pizzas they all look very good taste good we ordered several pizzas the chef makes the pizza himself you can also see it and there are also other dishes a wonderful restaurant just very good recommend

There was exactly one waitress on the terrace at lunchtime, the other was on her lunch break!?? The poor waitress was under a lot of stress and couldn't cope at all, even though she really gave her all with so many guests on the terrace. The boss also had the nerve to yell at her several times in front of all the guests instead of helping. A no go! Once and never again! Oh yes; the children's plates were cold, only the Walliserplättli and the view was good.

Everything is OK here, right next to the mountain railway. The dishes are good, but it's a bit special that the waiters speak almost only Italian and don't try German as well.

Höchste 3S Bergbahnstation in Europa. Durch einen langen Stollen erreicht man die Skiabfahrt. Es gibt eine Aussichtsplattform und ein Restaurant (derzeit wegen Covid-19 nur Take-away.

We had an absolutely terrible experience. The owner started a fight with a client and screamed at him in the main dining hall and we felt very uncomfortable. When I said something they acted as I were the problem rather than apologizing for ruining our evening. It really makes you wonder. Whatever happened to making a dining experience enjoyable - especially in times of Corona. I wish you the best but please do not forget the importance of customers... I do not recommend this restaurant. I prefer one that puts customers first.
