A brilliant place👍 totally cozy, inexpensive and an original, very innovative concept! Inside you can warm yourself by the Swedish stove and enjoy the cozy atmosphere on the sofas🌞. There is also the option to eat in a cable car cabin in the garden👍.

Very cozy and cute place to grab a beer, brunch, apéro or whatever in between. A little pricey, but the quality is worth it. In winter they have cute warm gondolas you can stay in outside.

Very good place to have some beers. The atmosphere is very good, I recommend the bar. The service is not fast, you have to buy things at the bar and it takes time. You have gluten-free and vegetarian food options, which is very appreciated. Then when you sit inside or outside as you wish, it is very pleasant and quiet to go as a couple or with friends. It is a bar to know and go to.

Nice restaurant in itself but 90.- for raclette for two people with two drinks is definitely way too much.

A very nice and cozy place to chat, eat a little tasty thing, meet cool people, do some knitting by the furnace. ☺️ a happy place

The menu reads well, but the plates look rather flat in person. Gin Tonic is served with stale tonic. The staff acknowledges this as follows: “I didn’t make the drink”. The boss said it had carbon dioxide in it, emptied the drink and made a new one. Coincidentally with a new bottle of tonic.

Great place for a drink on the terrace or for brunch in the sun! The atmosphere inside looks very cozy but is not very large. We had a brunch to share for two, it was delicious and plentiful.

Small, cozy oasis of peace near the Central where you can have a perfect breakfast or lunch or have a beer in the evening. Apart from the great view of the Liebfrauenkirche opposite. Drinks and food must be ordered at the bar. The homemade iced tea is ok but the falafel salad was very tasty. Personal is super friendly and relaxed.

They offer good coffee and very tasty cardamome knots. In case you're hungry for a heartier dish they offer nice and fairly large mezze plates. Besides coffee and food, they offer a large selection of local drinks like beer and cider. The outside area is nice and surrounded by plants. The indoor space is more restricted.

Very chilled and cute cafe with mostly outdoor seating very close to the universities. They have a selection of food and a good range of vegan and veggie options. There’s also an all gender bathroom which is great to see!

Beautiful garden with vegetarian food, great coffee and fair prices. Especially great for brunch/breakfast.

There were 3 of us in the small freedom and we had breakfast for 2 to share. None of us found it particularly tasty. Cheap orange juice quality, coffee for an extra 5.50 also not aromatic. And the food is not fresh but, especially the bread, frozen. Even arrived frozen inside. Conclusion for 48.00 there is a better brunch in Zurich. The menu was also in English, and only when I asked twice for a German menu was I given the correct one. You also have to go to the bar to order and if you want to ask anything else, too. They only come to the table to clear away and bring the trays. The staff somehow didn't feel like working on Friday morning. No smile, no kind word. The tray was literally simply placed in front of us. You can't write well when thrown, but you'll manage. Unfortunately we can't recommend it and won't be coming back.

Great bar for young people and the young at heart with an alternative character, we liked to stop there for a nightcap on the way back to the hotel!!! I'd love to come back when I'm in Zurich again!

Great. The mezze is particularly recommended for sharing. The spreads are all so great, you don't even know what to choose best. The best hummus I've ever eaten, delicious bread, great drinks. Feel good all around

*Update: third time in here now. Seriously some of the best tunes in town and elsewhere…. Such a flow & nice ambience. An absolutely beautiful, chill, cosy cafe. And affordable. Mainly hip students around. Pretty hip & cool And fantastic chill music that the barista was playing! Creating such a good ambience

super cool place with great people

Small, somewhat alternative oasis very close to the Polyterrasse. You serve yourself and the atmosphere is very nice, both for an aperitif and for a beer with friends. I'll be back!

It’s a hippy place with even a campfire on the exterior when we arrived! Super warm and cozy, ideal for chatting with friends or reading a book. We just stopped over for some beers and humus that they were great! Staff spoke great English and were polite and friendly.

Nice little gem, easily reachable by tram. You can sit outside in the garden or inside where it's cozy with a choice of chairs or comfortable benches. There is a great variety of drinks and quality homemade food available. I had the "kmäsch" that got me to have the wow factor! Definitely a great place to enjoy with friends or as a solo for a quick lunch.

Delicious breakfast and great ambience. Big fan of the selection in the bread basket and the eggplant dip! The oven egg in the glass was okay, a bit dry but all in all a very tasty meal.

Everything was very relaxed, if you like that, highly recommended. Prices top!

Really enjoyed our breakfast at Klein Freiheit. The baba ganoush, oven baked eggs and flat bread were fantastic. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere.

Raclette in the gondola was fantastic. Simple concept, get your own drinks etc. but the atmosphere was right.

In winter, Kleine Freiheit offers a very cozy atmosphere inside or outside in a ski gondola. In summer, thanks to the many plants and inviting seating, it is a wonderfully cozy place that immediately gives you a holiday feeling. The staff is very friendly, the mezze is extremely tasty!

Great little café built out of a container — well designed, with a great atmosphere— close to the university so lots of students and a trendy vibe. Quality food. Vegan options.

I'm greek and what they call a moussaka is in NO way anything even close to the real thing. Would recommend changing the name. Also, I did not like the attitude of the people working there. Both times I was there, I felt looked down upon or that I was interrupting their day by requesting basic service. Could be that those were just bad days of course, but I'll never know.

Really nice and original place! The food looked amazing but we only had a coffee. You can have raclette inside of the sky boxes. It’s a really nice place!

Good location, good ambience...kinda have that hipster vibe going on with live music on weekends as well but the prices of drinks especially beer (limited on IPA or other kinds) is crazy. I expect such price at a 6 star hotel bar if there's such a hotel. Also, the amount of wine they served for the price is a total turnoff for me..actually I felt embarrassed to have ordered wine (fml!!) and I guess for lot's of other patrons have felt the same too. The Kline management should revise the pricing and add more options. The university might be close by and it is little more on an uphill area. This does not justify the prices and drink options but actually it should be the other way (affordable drinks and better options) I will be visiting them randomly again in future and will definitely review again. Hope you keep that hipster vibe going on but not pretentious-wanna be kind of if you know what I mean!!

Kitchen nightmares - magnet in my yogurt Paid 30chf for a basic breakfast out of stuff already ready on the counter. Got my coffee and waited 50min for the food. Asked for ETA after 40 min and was told “you need to wait”. At some point some food came but it wasn’t mine. Then got my food after about an hour. And then surprise, I FIND A MAGNET IN MY YOGURT. Naturally abandoned ship, returned the magnet to get a “sorry” from the waiter, and left without eating my food. What a way to waste 1.5 hours and 30chf on a beautiful sunday. Never again.

If you like having a wet bottom after sitting on Euro pallets, you can have a delicious meal and drink a beer here.

It is my "local" and a very pleasant place, friendly staff and nice clientele. The only down-side is that it is expensive, when you consider the relatively uncomfortable seats and self-service!. My IPA beer has just gone up from 8 to 9 CHF! A shed-load more than inflation! This is the price you pay for drinking in a "trendy" place! Hope the management see this post!

The service staff in the restaurant were very unfriendly and seemed annoyed. I went there twice in a week - once for brunch, another time for a snack. The rolls during brunch were good but their so-called “porridge” was so dry and inedible (it was quinoa with dried apricots and cinnamon). Likewise, her iced tea was simply cold, leached berry tea. The drink and the mezze were good though. This place is recommended for a drink but definitely not for brunch and nice staff!

I think I don't fully understand the concept. After 10 minutes of waiting at a table that hadn't been cleared, we went to get the drinks ourselves. Preparation took another 10 minutes for “simple” drinks. Location is great, the name fits perfectly
