Autumnally cool but sunny Saturday morning: After asking politely, I was relegated to a place in the shade in a cheeky tone, even though there were free places in the sun. Apparently the sun blinds can't be raised? A rude, rude waiter then served a weak, milky cappuccino in a half-filled cup for a whopping 6.00. They don't have newspapers either; the 20Min app on their mobile phone has to suffice. And that right next to the Federal Palace? Waiter runs away in the middle of the conversation. In a bad mood, he replies from the next table that I should write to the boss if I don't like something here. Voilà dear boss.

We miraculously managed to get a table for 2 without a reservation. Nice place despite being a little cramped. In my opinion, 17.80CHF for 2 large classic beers is too much.

Unfortunately I didn't eat anything - I'll definitely catch up. Top service - thank you. Come back. #awesome

Beautifully located park - service unprofessional back then!

I can't judge the food because I didn't eat anything. This peace and quiet at the little Schantze is worth GOLD, you're in the middle of the city and yet you've arrived in an oasis of peace. What I also appreciated, I will go there more often

Cozy outdoor space for an after-work beer. Suitable especially in the warmer seasons. With the appropriate wind direction and strength it can be a bit uncomfortable, despite the good "roofing". The cozy lounge corners are a bit cramped with the small "tables". Good service and good offer. Very good location as only 5 minutes from Bern train station.

Located in a park, it is the best thing the place has, the food is normal (burger, potatoes, etc.) and expensive, the service is very friendly and fast.

Went here for a quick burger. The restaurant is located close to the train station and yet you have the feeling that you are further away in the countryside. The service only used the most necessary words, so there was no tip. The prices are on the more expensive side. The burger was tasty, but had a bit too much sauce for my taste. Nice view of the park/playground, which was full of people.

Nice location.....but extremely unfriendly gentleman in service!!! After we wanted to order dessert (at 1:00 p.m.), our service man explained that dessert is available from 2:00 p.m.!!! I couldn't understand it and said with a laugh, "That can't be true"! The very arrogant employee responded "if you don't like it...that's where the exit is..." We used this exit immediately. This is the first time this has happened to me... and I'm turning 70 this year. I won't consider this restaurant anymore......and you can get dessert in all restaurants in Bern at 1:00 p.m.!!!!

Go have a drink together, watch the people in the park and then maybe eat something small. For me, that’s Park Café’s little ski jump! The menu is manageable, the prices are on the higher side. Unfortunately there is no vegan dish.

It's really nice here, even if the service is a bit special. Food is good too. The price level, on the other hand, is really borderline. Two burgers, two beers rounded up to 80 Stutz. That's a good thing then.

We went in at the wrong entrance because we were too stupid and one of the servers marched towards us. We were publicly dressed down in narc style and informed that the chain that hangs 7 cm above the ground wasn't there for fun... and they would have closed anyway (30 minutes before closing) jesse god, I remember it being very peaceful non merci lol

Nice food. Being an Indian and loving spicy food I would like the food as compared to other places. The ambiance was amazing. Garden views with nice winter sunlight made it awesome. Would give 5 stars to customer service too. The staff is cooperative and very well behaved. We had some questions regarding the Swiss traditions, that too the lady answered with so much patience.

Nice cafe restaurant in middle of lovely park.

This evening we wanted to enjoy the beautiful late summer evening and have an aperitif here and then also eat, unfortunately we were chased away by the waiter who said the tables were not served, there were men in suits and ties sitting at the tables next to us who were being served. Very unfriendly and unprofessional, we then went to Cafe Einstein on the cathedral platform where we received a friendly welcome. It's a shame that companies like this were kept alive with my tax dollars during Covid.

Good food, good atmosphere, dog friendly

About 3 weeks ago. Service very unsafe and very stressed/irritable. When we left the table for just a minute to see what the kids were doing and came back, the table with the half-full drinks had already been cleared away. Even though our things were still hanging on the chair. The young server's daughter just said: yes, I don't know, my colleague cleared everything away. When I said, yes, but I don't think that's okay, she just said in an unfriendly tone: yes, if I have to, I can bring you another coffee. No thanks, I'd rather go🙍‍♀️🤦‍♀️

The most luxurious place to relax and dine in the company of colleagues and friends

On a hot July Saturday, our group (11 people) was there for lunch (with a reservation). We ate à la carte and despite being "full house", the service was efficient and without (too) long waiting times. The staff was very friendly, the food we ordered (especially salads and burgers) was very tasty. We found the price/performance ratio to be ok, the portions were large.

There is self-service in the outdoor areas and service in the covered area. But I wait forever at the bar for someone to hand out my drinks, while there are tons of staff in the covered area. But the prices are the same. The impression is of a 2-class customer base. And the bruschettes are brought naked on the plate, you also have to fetch your own napkins... there is a lack of staff, yes, but the money is huge. I miss the former Kleine Schanze with the outdoor lounges, now it's a mass operation.

Here you eat outside, on the edge of a small park in the center of Bern. There's always a lot of rush, and the service is often at its peak. Price/performance is not right: The daily menu is already sold out at 12:30 p.m. Cappuccino 6 francs, doughy sandwich with salmon 18 francs. For the money you will receive a friendlier welcome and tastier food elsewhere.

Like other guests, I had the same experience: despite the empty tables, the staff ignored you.

The view and the service are simply phenomenal, again and again

I have been visiting the Park Café for many years and it has always been a good place to have a drink and eat. However, recently we have been repeatedly disappointed when we wanted to eat something as a group or as a family. The kitchen was often not even open in the evening. You also don't get the feeling that the customer is important, let alone king. Latest example Wed., July 6th, 2022 11:45 a.m. Arrived spontaneously with wife and baby, almost all tables were still empty, but the young lady said she couldn't do anything because everything was reserved, except the tables directly in the sun. When asked whether she could swap a reserved table in the shade, since not all guests necessarily have to be in the shade, she simply said dryly that reservations come first and that's not possible. Very unfortunate.

Very nice place in Bern. Unfortunately, the seating is very tight and therefore very loud when it is full. Despite the terrace being full, we were served very quickly. For the price I would definitely have expected more from my Coupe Denmark (real chocolate sauce). It only consisted of vanilla ice cream with a drizzle of chocolate topping, which isn't really tasty.

When the weather is nice, it's simply wonderful to eat right in the park. Small but nice menu with bowls, burgers, etc., and an inexpensive lunch menu. The quality of the food is good and the service is nice. Everything fits.

Flambée was very tasty and cost 21.- chf Everyone wants to consume something there, so it's always very crowded, but also lively.

An excellent cafe with a panoramic view of the city where you can drink coffee or something stronger, or just relax at lunchtime and have a snack, pizza is an excellent solution for students.! An interesting point is that here they refund the franc for taking your dishes to the bar stand!!! It's funny but it works)))

A very cute little park in the middle of the city..

OK. Two years ago it was five stars. Now three more. Great location to have a drink or just hang out outside, but it has lost a lot in terms of cuisine. I can't recommend it more for food. Carelessly prepared dishes and matching service. A pity. More could be expected from this unique location. Ah yes. Still to be mentioned. Most expensive tap water in town! 3dl for 2.-, no refills, really now?

Located in the middle of the Klein Schanze Park, the restaurant offers a great view, fresh air, a quiet location and fresh ingredients. The staff is courteous and the patrons are very friendly. Ordered a pasta and empenadas; for dessert two muffins.

The food was good but some of the items are definitely overpriced. Plus, they make you pay 5 CHF for one liter of tap water. Well, technically not the water itself, since that's illegal, but for the "service" of the tap water - even on top of everything else you order. So friendly tip - take your own water!

Brunch offer top! We shared a brunch for two, it was completely enough and delicious. A meeting point for everyone who is spontaneously looking for somewhere to stay in the center of Bern.

Nice location, delicious non-alcoholic Nojito. The only negative point is the waiter, who repeatedly pestered us without asking with his (extreme) political opinions. I think this is inappropriate treatment of guests.

Unfortunately, I got the feeling that you don't really have to make an effort due to the top location and the large number of walk-in customers. There were 8 of us there. Veggie burger was ok, unfortunately bun was soggy because there was too much salad dressing. Normal burger patties were very small, not appropriate for the price! Service was nice but apparently overwhelmed by the many guests.

Pretty location in a beautiful park in the middle of Bern. Unfortunately, the service was poor and the mojito lacked cane sugar.

Long wait to be taken to the table (table was free). Even longer waiting time to finally order something. During this time other tables were slowly cleared and cleaned. Service disorganized, don't know where to take what. Ordering something second was almost impossible, a service person spoke to me (that was difficult because people were always looking at me), and the answer was "my colleague, I'm just....". Had to ask that we inform the colleague. I've been here several times over the last few years, and 90 percent of the time the service was just bad. Location and atmosphere are very nice, but that shouldn't lead to overpriced food and such slow service.

Schönes Lokal. Super Lage. Bedienung bemüht. Wir hatten Fish and Chips und leider zu teuer für das was wir erhalten haben. Schade. Aber zum eins trinken gehen perfekt.

Overpriced. Service staff is too pushy to sell more than requested and to empty the table. Too many tables for the available surface.

Im Sommer ein idealer Ort für ein leichtes Mittagessen oder später für ein After Work Chat. Geht normalerweise sehr schnell, auch wenn es sehr oft voll ist - das zeugt von guter Organisation. Und die zufriedenen Gesichter von der guten Stimmung. Wegen dem Essen kommt man aber nicht. Es ist OK... aber eher klein proportioniert und ein bisschen leblos. Nicht schlecht aber für diese Preise fehlt einfach das gewisse etwas. Reservation zu empfehlen.
