It's amazing that there is such a small restaurant in Zurich. Everything was great from the service to the kitchen. The dumplings are a dream, I know what I'm talking about. I'm a Franconian. Keep it up

10 stars!! No seriously BEST Knödl from here to Austria (possibly even beyond). We tried the Gorgonzola Mascarpone ones and the goulash. The goulash was not bitter at all as I’ve seen it made in other places. This one was just perfect! The Gorgonzola sauce does not take away from the Knödl, it nicely compliments it and isn’t too heavy. As a dessert we shared the Marille Knödl, delicious. Try their salad too - the house dressing is a bomb. Will definitely be back to try more!!!

Fabulous, just like mom's. The dumpling dishes are cleverly simple, and simply sophisticated, wonderfully balanced and perfectly seasoned. The dumpling has finally arrived in Zurich, exactly as it should be: honest, cozy and wholesome.

I can't call myself a regular yet, but I will soon - I've ALWAYS been impressed by the food and service. Thanks!

In short: simply worth a visit. Very tasty food, I will still dream about the dumplings with mushroom cream sauce. The goulash version also tasted wonderful. Service is top, friendly and uncomplicated. And the selection of Almdudler drinks is heartwarming ♡ We will be back!

I got to know this sweet little restaurant by chance through friends and was hooked from the start! A warm welcome, menus were available on a chalkboard or via QR code, wonderful ambience with great photographs from Europe and Africa, the toilet like a wellness oasis and the food was uniquely good! Before, I couldn't really imagine why dumplings should be so special, but this restaurant taught me otherwise!👍 small, fine menu, the portions were just right and the food wasn't heavy on the stomach at all! Simply great! The hospitality was very exemplary, just like it used to be... a small gesture from the boss, a small talk, you just felt comfortable! Thank you very much for the wonderful evening with you, I can only recommend you 100%!

Food was very good. The service was also great and chatty. It is also very comfortably furnished and you feel comfortable.

My friend wanted Sushi. I told him "we have great sushi in California, let's find something better". He found knödl on Google and when he told me "Austrian" I was sold, because I love Austrian food. When we got to the place, the owner was super cool, funny and friendly. They made us feel at home and the food was incredible. Simply delicious. We sat next to a group of local Swiss. We struck a conversation and they were beyond friendly and fun. We exchanged phone numbers. They asked me what I thought about the Swiss people. I said that "I head they have a reputation of not being the warmest of people". They laughed, and agreed, but they were the warmest and kindness people, so obviously generalization isn't right. There are GREAT people in Switzerland, and every other country. We had an amazing dinner. I had the Goulash. I recommend it wholeheartedly. You will NOT be disappointed. The service, ambiance, food was 10/10. I'd make a reservation. The dessert we had was Marillenknödl. It was BY FAR THE BEST Marillenknödl I have ever eaten. I've been to Vienna many time. But this Marillenknödl was the BEST. In short - when in Zurich, you have to visit knödl. I know I now have a favorite hidden gem I'll make it a point to visit again and again.

Small restaurant, maximum seating capacity! Service good, price-performance ratio above average (wine). The dumplings were quite good, the lentils had more flavor than the goulash! In relation to the lentils, the goulash was a bit overpriced, but still cheap for the city of Zurich. In summary, for a person from Zurich, this restaurant is average. Highlight: toilet!

These dumplings are delicious! Soft, flavorful, and served with tasty and high-quality meals. The asparagus plate in particular was fantastic, and I could have eaten way too many of the dessert dumplings. Also, the staff were very friendly accommodated our need for English, and provided excellent service. The vibe is way more chill than you'd expect for how nicely the food is presented!

Very very tasty and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, I was still hungry after the main course and dessert - especially a small apricot dumpling as dessert is a bit sad when you're used to making them yourself and eating them to your fill. I would still recommend everyone to stop by!

We got so lucky to stumble upon this wonderful little spot after a day walking around Zurich. We'd never had knodl before, but the owners (2 childhood friends who decided to open a restaurant together with a secret family recipe) talked us through the combinations of flavours (and their amazing photography on the walls!). There's a reason this place has nothing but 5 star reviews, make sure you give it a try!
