Excellent sushi conveniently located but not with the “touristy” feel of other restaurants only a few blocks away. Reservations recommended, as it has only ~15 tables and seems to be a consistently popular place.

I went there for takeaway lunch today. The atmosphere inside is really pleasant and the staff is very friendly. And what really impressed me is that I only had to wait about 8 minutes for my food (I had the Tonkatsu Bento lunch menu). The portion was reasonable for the price, overall good price-performance ratio.

What a miracle this small, sweet restaurant is! It's a shame that I first discovered it recently. The dishes are authentic and very tasty, and the waitresses always ask you if you are satisfied with the food.

Since it is quite small, it makes sense to reserve in advance. The service was also really nice. So absolute recommendation!

Delicious Japanese restaurant near the Schauspielhaus and Kunsthaus in Zurich. We were there one evening (it is advisable to make a reservation in advance, as the shop fills up quickly both at lunchtime and in the evening) and received a friendly welcome. The order was then quickly taken and delivered - the service was super friendly, prompt and courteous. Only positive things about the food - it was very tasty (great taste and well seasoned - I especially recommend the udon combo). The full restaurant, the open kitchen and the friendly service mean there is a great atmosphere in which to stop off. Also highly recommended at lunchtime and there is also the bento option for lunch. In summer there is also seating outside (but reserve here in advance). Price-performance ratio is right.

It’s delicious, really. I used to live in Japan and this is definitely something I could have had there. Well everything except the ring squid fritter which is unnecessary in my opinion. Big portions.

If you like sushi and Japanese food in general, this is the place for you! very good price/performance ratio, very friendly staff! Lots of outdoor spaces, but always well attended.

I had the tonkatsu bento set and I actually came in pretty close to closing (1.20-1.30pm) and they still seated me and served the food rather quickly. The staff were really attentive and asked me if everything was okay a few times. Really decent prices for the amount of items the bento comes with. Will definitely come back if I’m visiting Zurich again!

📝 Nice Japanese food restaurant with very polite and friendly service in a quite relaxed setup. Prices are really competitive for the amount and quality of food you get served. 🍴 I had the donburi combo which included a big bowl of katsudon, miso soup, 4 maki rolls and a cabbage salad. Portions were generous and taste overall good although I found too much wasabi in the salad (not even sure if it was supposed to be there?): I couldn't finish the salad because of it. 📍 The restaurant is 2 minutes away from the Kunsthaus on a rather quiet street. You can either sit inside or outside and is not pretentious at all. ☝🏼 We tried to order some starters before the combo but the girl serving us recommended to first have the combo and then later decide if we wanted something more given the size of the combo itself: she was right, we couldn't order any more food! Plus points for the honesty.

Low-key Japanese restaurant located in a quiet neighborhood next to Bahnhof Stadelhofen. Went there and ordered the Donburi combo and Udon combo. The Donburi was one of the best Japanese food I had in Europe. Udon combo I personally find not as good as Donburi but my friend really liked it.

Very nice service. The food was very good. The restaurant was full over lunch. You can tell that it is already popular and well known.

Their lunch menu is the best. I always get the veggie bento box and I find it consistently very good. Everything is high quality and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly.

The food was a poem. The guest is greeted with a hearty laugh and the service helps to look through the menu if the customer has important questions. Well-informed customers are served like kings in the best ambience. People like to stay here for longer and again and again.

The food was very good. At best, use wasabi and ginger a little sparingly. It's nice to eat outside, but the ambience could be improved a lot. The staff is nice but sometimes a bit clumsy (inexperienced?). If soup is spilled down a guest's pants (as happened to me today), then it would actually be a nice gesture if, for example, coffee was offered in return, especially if the guest doesn't make a fuss about the mishap /or insisting that the trousers be cleaned… So there’s still room for improvement there too….

Great food, great service. The only thing that's not so good is that the tables are very close to each other. Definitely a place to return to!

The tonkatsu rice bowl was delicious and the yaki udon was also delicious. They were friendly and it was the most delicious meal I had in Switzerland.

Cozy place for tasty Japanese comfort-food basics. Having tried practically everything on the menu I would especially recommend the donburis, udon, and tempura. The Minine Salat is also fantastic. Amiable staff. Family-friendly hours.

Minine is an absolute insider tip for very good Japanese food with an excellent price-performance ratio! If you appreciate artfully prepared, authentic dishes of high quality, you have to go here. The dishes are complemented with Asian teas, (warm) sake or good (red) wines. I particularly liked the extras such as the miso soup, which is served with almost all dishes, tempuras or small bowls of kimchi upon request. The food was served by very friendly Asian people. You felt very well looked after. The charming owner is also happy to take the time to answer questions about dishes.

There is the option to order a “mix plate”. This way you don't have to choose and you can have a little bit of everything. I like it very much!

Absolutely bad. The sushi smelled enormously of old fish, inedible. Like borrow, if you didn't know that fresh sushi never smells, you would think it was normal. The bento box alone was inedible. Soaking chicken schnitzel in a sauce and presenting it to guests is shameful. If you really want to try an original bento box and the best sushi, you should go to Samurai in Zurich Altstetten. This is not meant to be an advertisement, just to show someone the real food. For someone who doesn't know Japanese cuisine and thinks this is good, keep going to Minine and have fun

Not great. The food is really average, don't expect anything close to authentic Japanese. The rice with pork bowl is basically a schnitzel cut in pieces wet by an egg, no asian flavour whatsoever. For 50 CHF/person we ate a decent amount of food, but nothing that was really worth going back for. On top of that service wasn't great, staff never came to our table and everytime we had to call for them. Still, nothing surprising for Zurich standards.

amazing food and service, unagi rice is the best!!

I don't get why this place has such a high rating. I wasn't really a fan of the food. The katsudon in particular was not great. I get that they tried to make their own take on the dish, which is fine, but it just wasn't really interesting. Perhaps I was unlucky.

Whenever I have a chance to go to Zurich, I invite myself to this restaurant. This is the right place if anyone would like to enjoy Korean food and Japanese food. The ambience is welcoming and charming, beautiful presentation, friendly staff, every bite melting. I cannot wait for my next visit !

Very fine Japanese cuisine, served as a combo, with the best miso soup I've enjoyed so far, because I'm not actually a miso fan, but even I liked the soup here. The sushi was also super delicious and the Yaki Udon noodles were a real treat. The restaurant is simply furnished, but we really liked the atmosphere and the service was super friendly. And all of this at very fair prices in the middle of the city.

Suhsi was not fresh and quite smelly. When I first saw google review 4.9, I decided to go to this restaurant with expectation. but, freshness was awful. I don't know why people said sushi is great. Sir, I went there with great expectations after reading the Google reviews, but the sashimi had a really fishy smell, and even the more I ate the udon, the more sour it became. Because I walked around so much, I was so hungry that I had no choice but to eat, and I couldn't even tell you in person, so I'm leaving this in writing. Please note.

We were there on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was very busy —> reservation recommended. The reason is obvious: the food is super good and the portions are very generous. Good price-performance ratio (for Swiss standards ;)). The food was served quickly and the service was very friendly. This was definitely not our last visit.

We ordered veggie Gyoza, Miso soup and kimchi for appetizer. Then, ordered the gross sushi mix and is more than enough for two. Followed by the mango ice cream mochi. Everthing was good!

We had a delicious lunch there. Highly recommended.

All good and tasty. The only problem is the sound concept. Don't like American soul wails or oomph oomph bass drones - especially not in an Asian restaurant. And at 4! You should also be able to take the time to ask people in the room if they need anything else. The new operation still has room for improvement.
