KOMMOD — Le Restaurant in Luzern

You feel like you've been transported to another time. We've already been there for dinner once, but the aperitif this time completely blew us away. Served on a small cake stand, accompanied by delicious wine and charming service! Thank you very much...we'll be back soon!

The Koomod is very comfortable. A lovely hostess and a very original host look after the guests according to the motto: France as a guest in Lucerne. Additionally many local and regional products. The food tastes wonderful and the wine selection leaves nothing to be desired. The location is original, but seems a bit cold. This is less due to the furnishings than to the structural design.

When you enter KOMMOD, from one moment to the next you are no longer in the city of Lucerne from the 21st century, but in a French restaurant from the 1920s from the last century. The tables, the seating, the lamps and the decoration fit wonderfully into this period. Even the host comes in a matching look. We decided on the 5 course menu. A different wine was served with each course. Our host always knew something exciting to tell about every new drop. After soup, mushrooms, deer, cheese and a small dessert, we left KOMMOD very satisfied and returned to the city of Lucerne from the here and now. By the way, the old gramophone by the glass door really works - the KOMMOD is an insider tip!

We have reserved the restaurant with its nostalgic feel-good atmosphere exclusively for our event. The landlords Manon and Mario run the Kommod le Restaurant with passion. Mario skilfully led us through the evening with his special charm. On the warm, beautiful summer evening, we also appreciated the great outdoor seating area as an extension of the restaurant. Mario, with his music connections, was able to recommend the live band "Danny and the two toms" that suited us. We were able to enjoy a wonderfully delicious apéro riche and later a super fine, refreshingly prepared risotto brought in on an antique bike and cart. Our guests were thrilled. Everything was perfect down to the last detail. All dishes lovingly, freshly prepared. Price and performance are right. We like to come to Kommod again and again, especially on Thursday evenings with changing live music. Thank you very much for everything Manon, Mario and team. Andrea and Linus

Far too expensive, food was not suitable as a given menu that was supposed to be right for everyone. Dessert was overpriced.

Food was not served on time even though we stated the schedule several times. Communication of the menu didn't work at all. The food tasted good, but unfortunately it wasn't really suitable as a children's menu. The prices were massively overpriced, even as carnival prices!

+ Nice ambience with warm light + Food tasteful + Nice and eloquent host + Generally nicely furnished - Overpriced, from starters to dessert, everything is more expensive than other good restaurants, the price is not justified in terms of quality - Small salad 9.50.- (really small and only leaf lettuce), main course 52.- with enough meat, but far too few side dishes (and these don't cost much), dessert 22.50 for a "special" crème brullée in cake form (really extremely small ) - Small portions, there were 10 of us and we all didn't have enough, so we had to order bread as a follow-up - Very small menu - 1 meat menu, 1 fish menu, 2 vegan, that's it. It is recommended for people who appreciate the ambience and the host and are satisfied with small portions, but not recommended for people with average hunger. It's a shame, the food was fine.

Were here for Christmas dinner in 2021. The cuisine is very good and the atmosphere is fantastic. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is willing to spend a little more money for that little extra!

Very friendly service and the atmosphere with the vintage music, you just forget about stress. The restaurant offers the typical Central Swiss bourgeois cuisine, lunch was very good and I really enjoyed it. Price ratio $$ not overpriced. A menu for 23.50 is very human for everything for me as an apprentice budget :) Small menu, very cleanly designed and very clear. I'm looking forward to more fine home cooking, see you soon, a new regular customer won ;) Recommended ****+

I walked in at 2pm, based in the high google reviews. There were no diners so I politely asked if they were open. There was 1 staff member at the bar, but I didn't appreciate his rudeness and sarcasm in his response. He told me that the door is open and the lights are on so of course they're open. I was quite offended and didn't stay for lunch.

Discovered this restaurant while walking across the street from the main tourist section. The staff/owner was very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable. The setting is lovely and a nice break from the crowds. If I were a local, I would go here often!

A very cozy restaurant with good food. There are not many dishes on the menu but they're all very well made. On weekends they host artists. There is a nice garden staying area away from the noise of the main road but close to everything. We enjoyed the friendly service and food a lot

Cozy with a good mix of French and Nidwalden cuisine and delicious wines - basically in the middle of Lozärn.

Well-kept bistro, clear menu, fresh and good cuisine, friendly staff, interesting wines and above all: finally a restaurant in Lucerne with Breton cider. For all Francophiles and nostalgics, going is simply a must. For the rest it is at least highly recommended.

What a wonderful Location. This is definitely one of the most stylish Places to go in Lucerne. Great Atmosphere and very friendly Hosts. The 1940tis Charme is very unique and convincing. The Food is very good and not to pricy. I will return for shure...

The small lunch menu had something for every taste and had a Mediterranean touch. The owner is very attentive and friendly. Nice ambience in the renovated Schützenhaus and a great, quiet outdoor seating area.
