Always happy, great concept, very fine and the service is always good, we'll be back..

There were four of us and we were greeted very friendly and escorted to the table. The food was excellent, a vegetarian meal was no problem. The service was extremely friendly and attentive.

Wonderful and romantic atmosphere, food was awesome!

We had an event with around 24 people and were downstairs in Cantina 1313. A wonderful atmosphere. We immediately felt very comfortable. The menu was excellent. For starters there was sweet potato soup, fresh mixed salad with a wonderful dressing. Then noodles were served with a delicious sauce. The main course was roast veal with black rice and vegetables. A poem!!! Plus a wine sauce. Dessert cheese platter and burnt cream. It simply tasted delicious. The service was super friendly and they even took the time to have a chat. We can highly recommend the Cantina.

I've never had a bad meal at Grottino! It was excellent as always! The price-performance ratio is fair and justified. The menus are always worth a surprise with the pleasant service staff.

The atmosphere combined with the food is simply fantastic. I was impressed by the decor and the food. It's more expensive than a run-of-the-mill restaurant, but if you're looking for something out of the ordinary, this is definitely it! I'll definitely come back.

From the moment you open the door to the restaurant and enter, you are immersed in a completely different world. The charm of this cookie is incredible. This is perfectly rounded off by extremely warm and attentive staff and fresh and delicious food. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is very adjusted. Two tiny optimization suggestions: In our opinion, the sometimes rock music didn't fit with the ambience and was a bit disturbing. The small jars for the jam/Nutella look super cute, but are impractical due to the small opening. Either way, we'll be back! Thank you very much ❤️ for the great experience. Keep it up! :)

We enjoyed a delicious brunch and were served in a friendly manner. The downside to the ambience today was that it was rather cramped (I always had to get up if the neighbor wanted to get something) and it was stuffy/smoky. We'd love to come back (just not to this table :-)

Wonderful atmosphere with extremely competent and friendly staff. The food was very tasty, cooked with a certain 'something'. In particular there was a heavenly pumpkin soup with vanilla and parsnip chips and a tender and juicy veal. Every course is a highlight. Price-performance is totally right. Highly recommended!

A great experience with a great meal

If it fits, then it's perfect. First of all: inform yourself so that you know what to expect. If you want to spend a relaxed evening with friends in a good atmosphere with good food - go for it. If you are looking for the exclusive card where your wish is read from your eyes - leave it alone. Basically there is an Italian based menu served ala Mama. You scoop the portion yourself from the plate and share it independently with those accompanying you. In terms of price, it's certainly in the upper segment, but - if it's right, then it's right.

We went here for lunch and had one of the best meals I have eaten. I loved the set menu which we didn’t realize until we got there. We started out with a delicious salad followed by sweet potato soup. That already made us full. Then we had a beautiful pasta dish followed by tiramisu and chocolate mousse. So so tasty. Service was impeccable. I would definitely go back again.

From the entrance the experience is beautiful, it is worth being surprised by the menu of the day, all the dishes are exquisite!

Very nice experience, the meal may seem simple, but it is of very good quality, each element is well prepared and is delicious. I would return there during my next visit to Lucerne without hesitation.

This was our first time here and I love this cozy atmosphere. Finally a restaurant where you don't sit in the spotlight. You definitely have to make a reservation. Menu selection is vegetarian or meat, the choice lies in the courses, the rest is surprise. The food was very good and we could have had a second helping. We were able to spend a wonderful evening there with a view of the blazing fireplace. The staff was very friendly, gladly again

We spent an absolutely wonderful evening in Grottino 1313. The concept is as impressive as it is simple. We cook and you eat what comes on the table. This is as logical as it is sustainable. We were able to enjoy a great winter salad and a delicious soup. We continued with a wonderful lasgagne. The main course with mashed potatoes, winter vegetables and roast beef with a super duper brown sauce was delicious. We skipped the cheese course (that would have been too much in the end - for us). The dessert was a dream - mascarpone cream with orange... The aperitif, the beer, the wine, the digestive, everything was perfectly coordinated. The atmosphere is unique and the team is perfectly coordinated. That's what I call teamwork with passion. Please continue. We will be back. Thank you very much for the wonderful evening.

We are new to Lucerne and have definitely seen people here who run their restaurants with joy and warmth. We would like to come often. Another piece of the puzzle in our new home.

The stay at 1313 was perfect from the first minute. Very warm welcome, magical decoration, fantastic New Year's Eve menu. The personal wine accompaniment from employee Domenico made the whole thing perfect! The concept of Gastro 1313 proves that as a guest you can spend a wonderful evening here. My wife and I went to this restaurant just before Christmas 2023. I’m not sure how she found it, because there are so many restaurants in Lucerne, but it was an excellent choice. We walked to the restaurant from our hotel, and honestly I didn’t we were going in the right direction until we turned the corner and there it was. Really cool entryway outside with a fire pit going and inside the atmosphere was just what you want in a restaurant; intimate, but bustling. The lighting was excellent and the decor was very thoughtfully curated in a peasant chalet style. Great lights for Christmas as well!! What we really liked, was that we were not rushed through our meal and actually ended up spending over three hours there! We were both surprised, because it didn’t feel like that much time; as the courses came out, we were given right amount of time to enjoy each one. We had the house aperitif which was an apple cider spritz, and then the fixed menu. Great salad dressing. The soup was carrot/ginger, and the main was a beef tenderloin with tasty Yukon potatoes and perfectly sautéed kale sprinkled with crunchy onions. We skipped the cheese plate because we had already had enough to eat at that point, but we did enjoy the dessert cups with mascarpone and some cake inside. We also had a great Swiss Pinot Noir to accompany the meal. Incidentally, the food was all served family-style with serving dishes in the middle of the table; a welcome break from your traditional prix fixe whisking in and out of plates for each course. The servers were really fun and efficient; happily chattier than the typical Swiss, but did not overstay their welcome at the table. The prices were very reasonable for the prefix menu. My wife pointed out this morning that the single beef tenderloin dish at our hotel was almost the same price as the entire prix fixe menu at grottino 1313. I would recommend this off-the-beaten-track restaurant to anybody who visits Lucerne. I would add photos, but both my wife and I decided that it would’ve been in poor taste take out our phones and start snapping pics of the food. Everyone there (groups of friends, families and couples like us) we’re really just digging into the great food and conversation. Why spoil it?! :)

Everything was just perfect. From the ambience to the service to the food. The friendly welcome of the young gentleman, who immediately brought something to nibble and something to drink. He was always friendly and showed that it was a pleasure to serve the guests and that they were satisfied. The meal is given in several courses, which is not usual like in a restaurant with a menu, but the food is all the better in terms of taste and processing. And you can have more with each course if you want. Great experience that I personally really like, everyone who is here in Lucerne should try it once. Greetings again to the kitchen!

A fantastic restaurant that is run with passion and passion. The menu was worth every penny. Salad, soup, gnocchi, main course and dessert simply taste great! Good wine recommendation. The furnishings are cozy with a lot of love for antique details. The service is very courteous and nice. It is advisable to reserve online in advance.

The food is generally relatively tasty, but in my opinion it is not worth the price. But anyone who really appreciates the ambience and service will be satisfied here. There are quite a few courses and it's fun to scoop everything yourself. I still wonder how something that costs half as much in other restaurants can cost so much.

BLUF: Best meal I’ve ever had. Everything here is amazing. They have a set 4 or 5 course menu that changes daily. Everything is beautiful crafted with thought put into each dish with local and seasonal ingredients used. It is expensive but worth it. As Martin (the head chef and our server last night) said, “no one leaves Grottino hungry!” The experience of dining here was well worth the price and I cannot recommend it enough. Although it’s listed as “Italian” they utilize local Swiss ingredients. Also BLUF means “Bottom Line Up Front”

Third time I’ve been to Grottino and still wonderful. From the quirky location to the beautiful courtyard, the decor, attentive staff who actually seem to want to be there, and ever changing, high quality food; it’s genuinely a unique, rewarding place to eat with people you love.

The best restaurant in Lucerne! The place has a set menu with a vegetarian option and the meat or fish option. Both options start with a salad and soup of the day. Today’s soup was made with corn and it was spectacular! The price was CHF 25.00 for the vegetarian menu and CHF 36.00 for the meat menu. We chose one of each and I have no words to describe how delicious it was. The dessert costed CHF 4.50 and had also an amazing flavour. Martin Vonbank, the chef, has made our lunch even more enjoyable with his kindness. It is located away from the centre and there are some parking spaces on the streets nearby. This place was become my favourite in Lucerne and can’t wait to go back again!

An Italian in Lucerne with a lot of charm. The menu is a surprise but can be read on some blackboards in the restaurant. The food is very delicious and you will not be disappointed. Although it is somewhat far from the center, it is worth the visit.

We can highly recommend the Grottino1313 wine cellar for any type of private celebration. We spent a great evening there with, as always, excellent cuisine and very friendly and courteous service.

I would just like to leave a suggestion. Please communicate correctly online the hours you are open. We arrived to eat at 12:50 and it was told to us that no longer would be possible to serve food since the kitchen would be closed at 13:00. online you have it open until 14:00. Closing the kitchen one hour before is maybe a useful online information. Kind regards.

Advertised as an Italian restaurant, but it's more like someone who tasted Italian food, and tries to make it, without knowing how. The concept is a fixed menu, and dishes are served for sharing. We had salad, warm vegi pasta salad, and some veal cuts of meat + dessert for 300+ francs for 3 persons! Wow. The service and the atmosphere are nice, that's why 2 stars, and not one.

The food is of high quality. In general, it was felt that quality was preferred over quantity. Friendly service and great ambience. Of course, based on the previous explanations, it's not exactly cheap.

Beautiful restaurant. We love rustic wooden themed. You are greeted warmly from the moment you arrived. There is no food list only beverages. From appetizers to desserts were yummy surprises. The wine pairings were great. Love this friendly cozy place, we’ll be back for more.

Beautiful, rustic style restaurant with unique dining concept tucked away just outside the touristy area in Lucerne. We loved sitting back in the gorgeous setting sipping our wine and anticipating the next course. Every course was excellent!

Birthday celebrated in the wine cellar with 17 people. Everything perfect, satisfied hosts and guests. The charm of a real Grottino and menu without choice. Vegan menus that have been booked in advance are just as enjoyable as those for meat eaters.

Super cozy restaurant, wonderfully rustic atmosphere and very tasty food! The service is great, I asked if the cheese was pasteurized because I was pregnant and without saying anything I was served the fried egg well fried on both sides :)! Just great! And there's even non-alcoholic prosecco :D! We'd love to come back :)!

Made a reservation here in advance of our vacation based on the strong recommendation of a friend. Glad we did as our dinner here was quite the experience. The location is off the beaten path so probably not a place that tourists go to as much as locals. The is a fix priced menu but everything is a surprise. You don't tell them what you want, you just enjoy what they bring. Service was decent but the food was great and I loved that it each course was a surprise. I wish more restaurants would follow this concept as it really made dinner an. experience instead of just dinner.

This is THE most special place in all of Luzern! It's in a bit of an odd location, but don't let that put you off! This place is a must! The atmosphere is wonderful; wood burning fireplace, fresh flowers, candles all in a beautiful interior. We were lucky enough to sit at the prime table right next to the kitchen! This is a prix fixe menu; the chef prepares different dishes each day (you are asked about any dietary restrictions when making a reservation and also at the restaurant). We opted for the 5 course meal (soup, salad, pasta, main, dessert) for 64 CHF per person. You can also add a cheese course for an additional 5-8 CHF per person (not sure the exact cost). Each course is beautifully thought out and plated (served family style just for your table). Everything is DELICIOUS and creative! We had a root vegetable soup; a pasta dish with lemon, salmon, arugula, and tomatoes; a beef dish with roasted vegetables and the most delicious mushroom sauce; and tiramisu for dessert. Don't miss Grottino 1313!!!!

9/10 Food, Ambiance and Venue are Great. There is a fix Menu whith the option to get additonal serving which where included in the fix Price per Person. I can definitely recommand this Restaurant but keep in Mind that you have to reserve a Table since you won't just able to walking for a Dinner on a Saturday

Top food, top staff, top ambience. Everyone is always friendly and accommodating. The food is always freshly prepared and the drinks are prepared with attention to detail. You can tell that everyone there is fully motivated and full of love. The food may be a little more expensive than other restaurants, but that justifies everything you put on the table. After Gartenhaus1313, now tried Grottino1313. The concept is the same: a fixed 4 or 5 course menu. The food was good and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant is very creatively decorated. Why not 5 stars? I found the food good but nothing special. I liked the garden house menu a little better. This is certainly a snapshot because the menu is changing. We'll come back again and let ourselves be surprised!

Wow, what a successful evening. From the ambience to the service to the taste. 10 out of 10 points. The service (apprentice Shamal) was friendly and attentive. We had a lot of fun with him and were served courteously. He does his work with joy. Such service staff are rare these days. The food is a delight for the senses. Every bite, right through to the finish and aftertaste, is a joy. The wine is sensational and the dessert is worth a visit. This is how eating is fun. We'd love to come back.
