Quite overpriced and no place to go for a quick coffee in the morning

A nice café like you know from before, but with new charm. Fast, friendly service and delicious things, like tuna rolls, canapes and lots of delicious sweet dreams. There is also great bread there.

I treat myself to some once a week.

In May 2023, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Ochsen restaurant, we received three vouchers for the ice cream buffet at the Buchmann confectionery stand. The ice cream buffet is also regularly offered in the local weekly newspaper and attention is drawn to it. Today was finally the day. It was not possible to find out in advance what the costs per person would be. The prices are not communicated on the homepage or in the weekly newspaper. It's a shame actually. On site we found out that there are cups with three balls for 12.50 and cups with 5 balls for 16.50. With three children this quickly becomes expensive. It's a shame there are no children's cups. Our children only wanted 2 balls each. We still had to pay the full price. 2 of the 3 vouchers (1 ball for free) were then completely forgotten. The side dishes you choose yourself are great and the selection of ice creams is also great. With three scoops you can't fit much side dish into the cup and you weren't allowed to get it again. At least that's what we were told harshly. Other guests were allowed to get another side dish. Or it was overlooked. Not fun for families with children and ultimately expensive fun. Everything else is and was great and very tasty. We would love to come back to buy plait and bread

𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗺ꕥ 03/17/2023 𝗰𝗮. 08:00 𝗨𝗵𝗿 Since March 13th, 2023 I have been going to this pastry shop every now and then, I became a big guy during this time Fan of their egg rolls, which I find to be very tasty. I found the service to be attentive, courteous and very friendly. Today I got a sample of an Easter cake that you are currently offering. I found her to be really cool, A nice gift at the same time to draw attention to the product 👍 Thank you for the always friendly and courteous service ☺️👍

Super fine baked goods! And the pralines… Absolutely recommended!

Very friendly service and baked goods/patisserie look really tasty. The prices are at the limit for me, e.g. raspberry tart for Fr. 6.10. I preferred to just drink a cappuccino. There was also a delicious Änisgutzi and it was also positive that the cup wasn't half empty once you spooned away the milk foam.

Unfortunately it became quite expensive.

Great service, good and tasty food and good price. The service was very quick and extremely friendly and there was even a water bowl for the dog without asking. For dinner, a generous salad, a soup, a very filling menu (in my case a vegetable gratin) and a dessert (crumb cake) in the 4-course menu for 21 francs. Absolutely nothing to complain about. we'd love to come back. Thank you

Very friendly sales staff. Took time for myself, I bought some of the homemade chocolates and put them together myself. The chocolates are incredibly delicious and tasty, highly recommended. We also love the chocolate peaks.😋

One of the unwritten rules in the restaurant business is no discussion about the customers. It just happened to me a rude woman to whisper about me to her colleague while I was standing there in front...I understand that you are angry to work in such a pandepic situation and you are also frigtening about yours and your relatives'lives...but accept that some people try to protect themselves a bit more only because they are in the risk group that is almost imposible to be cured being once infected..To the customer that was inside with me was not told anything about paying cash, but the attitude of the thin woman with long straight hair was rude and like to a trash. I normally always tip, but in this situation I forgot, just because I was left speechless. I can bet that taking tips even without gloves is not a problem than serving equiped customers... Beside the sevice, I find Buchmann confiterie a nice place to have a coffee and tasty chocolates or a croissant. Every time I visit Arlesheim, I sit there enjoying the sun rays. But was left really disappointed today. And I think it should be avoided workers to put sugar in people's cups. At least until everything turn back to normal.

It is very cozy, pleasant atmosphere here. There are very GOOD SNACKS, DESSERTS, COUPÉ, SOCIETY BUNS. OR BAKED GOODS FROM THE BAKERY.

Despite the reservation, our place was occupied, but that wasn't a problem for us. One employee then attacked the other quite harshly and we had to mediate. The poor lady was so intimidated that she dropped another cup. It's a shame this way of dealing with each other ,does it have to be that way???

Buchmann is a cozy coffee shop with a bakery and pastry shop. But it's not just sweet things there. If you want to be sure of a place, I would recommend making a reservation. I would classify the prices as slightly higher.

Top I love the ice cream buffet on Friday evening from 6 p.m. from mid-May to mid-September, great service, prices are correct for Switzerland, nothing to complain about And I love egg sandwiches, ice cream and other homemade items.
