Important‼️‼️‼️Attention to all parents‼️‼️ My visit to the “Konditorei Caredda” on October 25th, 2023 around 3:30 p.m. was an extremely disappointing experience that I cannot leave uncommented. While we were in this restaurant, my child and I experienced a disturbing situation.(because my child was crying) What was even more disappointing is that the restaurant staff did not respond appropriately to this situation. We felt left alone and not protected. The behavior of the staff in this situation was unacceptable and not worthy of a restaurant.

Top for years and always the same, high standard...in the rough surroundings of Langstrasse an oasis of well-being with Italian heart and soul...always and especially on weekends 100% recommended

Fantastic desserts, better than in Italy! Desserts are often over-sweetened, taste artificial or are not nice to look at. But not here! I've been here several times and will definitely come back! You can simply taste that they have mastered their craft and that everything is made by themselves.

Insane selection on the weekend! (During the week there are no small desserts, only the normal large ones. You can't be late, but I actually think that's a good thing in this consumer society. Everything is made fresh!) Also the cake I ordered it was wonderful with an airy chocolate cream!

I'm in Love, the selection is very large - the pastry shop is very pretty and the employees are very friendly and helpful. I had the mini Baba Rum (?) and Aragoste. 1 star deducted because the Aragoste wasn't that fresh anymore (i.e. the pastry dough...) It definitely wasn't my last visit.

It seems like this bakery has a good name, but in my experience maybe it's a remnant of a bygone era? I went there a couple of times this week and found an almost empty stall, with few things and not particularly inviting. I've tried a couple of them and definitely nothing special. The coffee was at Italian standard level. Which isn't bad for being in Switzerland.

I have had cappuccino here a few times. It never met my expectations. I think staff isn’t trained or experienced in making Italian style cappuccino.

Unfriendly service. Tables are untidy and have dirty dishes. I asked about guest WiFi, the bartender said he couldn't find it... You don't feel welcome. I would advise against the store.

Old and dirty place, there are dead flies in the windows, I don't want to think what's in the laboratory...rude owner, they only know how to make lobsters, let's forget about the rest.

Excellent italian pastries! Try the Arragoste.

The website promised a dream of a wide variety of patisserie items. The reality was different... 3 - 4 varieties that all looked pretty worn out. There were mountains of two types to eat. take along. There was no one in the sales room, no one came to serve.

The cakes are delicious, the pistachio croissant is a delicacy! It's an old place, with a traditional touch, I like that atmosphere!

One of my favourite pastry shops in Zürich. Highly recommend croissants with pistachio cream, éclairs and aragostini.

We found this place on google. We said "wow Italian, from the photos it looks good, they make delicious things, Sicilian cannoli, etc". But alas, photos remain photos. Pastry shop, run by non-Italian people, a very dispersed place, on one side a cafeteria, where we ask for an Italian coffee and they make us an American coffee 😭😭😭😭 not really. The pastry shop was great to look at, but it was inedible, who knows how long it had been there, cream maybe two/three days old. Having grown up in the restaurant world, I know when something is fresh or not. I'm sorry but as an Italian, it wasn't a great choice of place. If you have to go abroad to open a business as Italians, keep the name alive, don't destroy it.

Trafitionally italian pastries which taste absolutely amazing...and the aesthetic is just fabulous! This is a MUST TRY if you visit Zurich or else you missed out on an amazing desert-experience

The place to be - for Italian immigrants and their descendants, it will probably be part of their identity and their own history well into the next generation. In addition to its revelations such as the sfogliatelle, the Caredda is famous for its mighty cake creations, which were available for confirmations, weddings, baptisms and even children's birthdays. With a lot of dedication we try to transform the customers' wishes into visions. Enough of the pathos. Of course, all of this has its price. And the café itself has - if you'll forgive me - somehow more of a kebab shop charm than a grand café atmosphere. I don't know whether it's the room itself or the furnishings that make me never really feel comfortable inside. That's why I only go outside for a cappuccino or a ristretto in the summer. The staff is somewhere in between. The products are great across the board. Only diabetics are likely to feel like they are in limbo.

Coffee is nice but their signature pieces are various sicilian sweets. Super delicious and super sweet. And you can order cakes for birthdays, weddings or whatever. The old lady is reeeeally lovely.

Very good traditional Italian desserts

The colleagues play in a different league, world-class pastries, very large selection, attention: risk of being overweight🤤

Unfortunately it doesn't taste as good as it looks. The filling of the lobster tails is rather bland, on the tiramisu cake the cocoa is dusted on a solid gelatin (?) layer, which is strange. But it looks very good and the staff is nice.

Italian pasticceria with cult status. You have to visit the location, marvel at the displays and taste the delicious baked goods and sweets. Combined with a coffee from the bar. Always an impressive experience. And nice people from the neighborhood meet here.

My favorite patisserie for years

Nice little cafe with a lot of variety, but the quality was quite disappointing. The cream clotted/ broke in my Panna Cotta. Coffee Eclair was soggy. I also did not fully understand the Asian/ Sri Lankan food on the menu (of an Italian cafe), but the Samosas were a few days old and disappointing. The service was pretty good, but a let-down otherwise.

The great variety of pastries and croassa they have is spectacular. What to say about the quality. Everything spectacular. Highly recommended place to buy celebration cakes.

Unfriendly service and unfortunately not the first time

I went to get about twenty pastries for my parents who came to visit me - I was noticeably disappointed: - Curly puff pastry and shortcrust pastry with almost no filling - Cannoli: the ricotta is very good (the only positive note) but the casing is soggy and not at all crunchy - Baba: rum is non-existent in the syrup, just water and sugar - Chocolate puffs: horrible, no flavour Last but not least, zero quality-price ratio: price too high compared to the product purchased. In other pastry shops in Zurich I found much better products and at lower prices.

The cake i had was super delicious! Fare prices for the portion you get. Definitely i will come back to try other cakes. They have tables outside which is nice but i found tables behind the restaurant which was super quiet and decorated with big plants and the ambiance their is more relaxing for coffee time.

Omg love this bakery!!! Pistachio croissant was filled with pistachio cream and it was so good! The staff was really friendly too! I was staying near this bakery so we went here for breakfast, and on the first day i had a normal croissant, that was so good that we came here again on the next day haha

We always fondly remember the birthday cake, which we unfortunately only opened at a friend's house. “Hoppy Birthday Ntalie…” Natalie found it somewhat funny… We complained with a photo. Reaction: “Spelling mistakes obviously happen” with reference to typo in the email. Accommodation? Niente. Underground.

Caredda is the best place to order a perfect classic but unique cake - they are known for their Italian sweets and beautiful old-fashioned handmade cakes and unusual Italian flavors like Zabaione. A fresh breath different from all other boring Swiss bakeries where they all make the same stuff. Love their style and delicious cakes, all the details they put into a customized cake for a special day. Ms Yvonne Caredda is always super friendly consulting my cake requests. Hands-down my family’s favorite place to order a cake. May Caredda bakery live long! 🙏
