KUMO in Fribourg

We found ourselves in this small and comfortable Japanese restaurant and were incredibly satisfied! Luca and Katti welcomed us and served us, making us feel at home; The food was exquisite, recipes well balanced and full of flavour, you could feel the quality of the products used. A hug guys, keep it up! 🔝

A small card complete with a suggestion of the day. A real delight, a quality/price ratio that is worth the detour. Please note, it is better to book. The place is small and could be a little more comfortable but I think that's part of the concept. Just a quick note for the staff: when you don't specify the size of your drink, that means you take 3dl and not 5dl in general... :)

Ramen like in Japan :D I traveled there this year and I rediscovered my tastes. The marinated eggs are amazing and the meat in the Tonkotsu ramen was seasoned and tender, to perfection! it was delicious. Small minus for the waiters who have shot into my stool several times, but the space is cramped and it can happen :) I will come back with pleasure!

I had the cocktail of the house which was fabulous, and the gyoza as starter were fresh and tasty. But the best was definitely the ramen! Must be amongst the best I ever had. Lovely little restaurant with amazing pork ramen. Tonkotsu was braised perfectly with delicious soft boiled eggs. The veggie special was also amazing. Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

I discovered this restaurant not long ago which I really liked. I liked the time the waiter took to provide us with explanations about a few dishes, the interior decor is nice and the food is very good. As someone who is a small eater, they even offered me a half portion of ramen which pleasantly surprised me :) The prices are also fair. The only downside; the tables are too close to each other which means that we can hear all the neighbors' conversations, but that's just a detail. I recommend this place!

The pork baos have a good sauce. The tea is good. I really liked the pork ramen due to the flavour of the soup and the pork meat. I expected the matcha creme de brulee would taste more like matcha, in reality it tasted more sour like lemon. If you want more tea, you can just ask for hot water ;)
