First of all, I must admit that the food at Xiaochu is very delicious, and it can be called the best Chinese restaurant in Lausanne. However, as far as my dining experience over the past year is concerned, the service attitude has become increasingly mediocre, mainly reflected in the boss's attitude towards Chinese customers. This time, because I didn’t know how to use Apple Pay, I failed to pay. Then I was looked down upon by the boss and treated as if I was going to have a meal. It was really chilling. First-class catering quality should be matched with first-class service level, and hope to improve.

1stly would want to highlighted to the waitress, friendly and good services with lovely smile. We walked in and arrive early before open hours, but they let us come in wait due to freaking cold outside. Food was very nice as per ppls reviews! Highly recommended!

Recommended Northeast Facelift.

When a place gets something like a simple chicken stir fry with ginger and spring onions right and then elevates it, one knows you are at the right place. Having frequented the place for a good year now, cannot think of a single bad experience. The service is efficient and precisely what you need when out for a quick lunch. Overall if you have been to China, especially the south, this is as close as you get in Switzerland.

Very good little Asian restaurant and very generous. Each dish is very good and huge quantity. A lot of choices. The prices are really reasonable! The waitresses are very friendly and helpful. The service is very fast. I recommend making a reservation. Always full every time I pass.

It's the best Chinese restaurant in Lausanne. The service is super quick and the servers are astonishingly efficient. You can make reservations or place a takeout order on WhatsApp, which is very convenient. The food is delicious and good value for money. My favourite item is 713 on the menu.

Atmosphere, cuisine and authentic Chinese flavors made by and for Chinese people. The place doesn't look like much from the outside and it's thanks to native customers, who recommended it to me, that I had the chance and the joy of discovering this little restaurant. A delight !

I have tried all the Chinese restaurants in Lausanne, and Little Chef’s and Kitty’s are the best and safest choices. The dishes are up to standard, and the owners are educated, polite, and good at doing business. Xiaochu’s cumin lamb and roasted lamb legs are particularly worth trying, and they are considered pretty good even in China. Most of the dishes are in line with Chinese tastes, but the stir-fried beef and other dishes are sweet and Westernized dishes. I feel that there is room for improvement in the seat reservation method. For example, if a table is booked for 7:30, the table may be occupied from 6:30 onwards. The occupation rate can also be optimized.

As a Chinese myself, I'd endorse this place. The hot and sour pork took me straight back to the dishes I'd have from home. Very generous portions at a reasonable price, the meat is well seasoned and flavourful. Do make reservations before you come, my friends and I got lucky by dropping by without one as the waitress managed to squeeze us in. Waitress also speaks, English, mandarin, and French, which is good for whoever uses any of the three to communicate.

We brought a Chinese colleague to this restaurant to rate it, and she said it's the best Chinese restaurant outside China where she's been to. The food is very very good, especially the fish ginger with onion, and the spicy beef in soup.

Very good Chinese restaurant in Lausanne if not the best! The dishes are authentic with lots of flavors. The prices are completely reasonable. Small downside, the middle of the duck was a little dry. The service is pleasant and fast. I highly recommend coming and trying the restaurant. I recommend booking in advance.

By delivery too expensive and not tasty. Quality went down a lot over the months. Not real satay sauce with peanuts but instead they used paste.

The food is delicious, with a smoky flavor from frying over an open fire. The meat of the boiled fish is very tender. I'll try something else next time. The service is also great, the ladies are very nice.

Authentic and delicious Chinese restaurant. I had their homemade beef noodles: delicious broth, tender and tasty beef, tasty noodles. Don't miss their vegetable ravioli with a very special taste. A Chinese beer to wash it down and you have an excellent meal. Impeccable service otherwise. Only the somewhat station hall atmosphere rubs off a little.

Every time I pass by Lausanne, I will have a meal before leaving. The mutton is very good. I will order the Northeast Lapi every time. The fish-flavored shredded pork seems not their specialty and I probably won’t order it again. The fried rice noodles are not oily at all.

I regularly go to this restaurant with my father to eat there. This restaurant has become a meeting place where we are sure to eat properly. The restaurant does not differ from the others at first glance and yet, I was able to discover dishes that I did not know at all and that, I am sure, the overwhelming majority of restaurants in Lausanne do not offer. And the dishes themselves are of course always there, well stocked (no one is kidding us about the quantities, far from it) and excellent. The service is fast and the waitresses are diligent in their work. In short, I recommend this restaurant to everyone who reads this comment.

Update - 2nd visit was just as good. All the Swiss I dragged with me liked it too. By far the best Chinese I’ve found in Lausanne, pretty authentic. Flavors were spot on and toned down for the spice level acceptable here. I’m sure they’d increase that if you asked. I would give them to 6* if I could. The surprise to me was the cold chicken starter dish. Better than expected, with a delicious sauce. Not spicy, give it a try. Highly recommended. The cumin lamb was tender and with plenty of flavor. As usual the beans were good and oily, as they should be, and not as spicy as they appear. The cold dish of spicy stomach was as a good mix of peppers, not too spicy (more than the beans) and a bit on the vinegary side. On the 2nd visit I added the sour soup with beef and fried lotus root, both were excellent too. The Xiao Chao Rou dish had excellent meat, but is one of those that could benefit from less focus on the meat. Basically stir fried spicy pork belly, some larger pepper chunks (non spicy) would balance it out. Surprisingly I didn’t like the dumplings much, but they were not bad. Maybe try the boiled and not steamed.

I don’t know if the lady wearing glasses is the boss or the waiter. I can only use one word to describe it: rude. I often order takeout from this store through Uber eats or ask my husband to pick it up from the store. I have been to the store twice before for takeout and I felt that this person’s attitude was not good. It was my first time to dine in today. I took my two children to sit down and ordered the dishes. I waited for a long time for a plate of dumplings to be served, and then another long wait (the waiter thought we were done eating and collected the plates, but his attitude was very good) , the remaining three dishes arrived, and 50 minutes had passed since we were seated. After we ate a little, I packed up the two uneaten dishes and asked the girl with glasses to pay the bill. I thought the bill would be paid quickly, so I got dressed and went to the side near the cashier to wait. The two children were very quiet and well-behaved, and we were standing close to the door. After waiting for a while, I returned to my seat, picked up my lunch box, and thought about picking up the bill and leaving through this door. The lady with glasses suddenly stood in front of her computer and loudly said to us from a distance: I am giving you a bill, please. Go back to your seats and wait! I got angry when I heard that. The place where I stood was right next to the door and it did not block the passage. Not to mention that there were no waiters or customers walking around at that time. Even if there were, we didn't have any impact? ! If you think there is a problem, please come over to me and tell me, is it too rude to stand in front of the computer and talk like this from a distance? In the restaurant we went to, I left the table and went to the cashier to pay the bill, even if it was over there No matter how crowded it is, I have never seen a waiter ask us to go back to our seats and wait. Excellent Chinese food In Lausanne. The variety and flavorful dishes bring you back to Sichuan. The restaurant has two rooms which are small so reservations are recommended. There is street parking or a nearby parking garage if you prefer.

The saliva chicken is good but very spicy. I particularly recommend the dry pot sausage for dine-in. It is fragrant, crispy and spicy with a bit of sweetness. The take-out is a bit soft and almost boring. It's a pity that there isn't much fish in the boiled fish. The Kung Pao Chicken was very unauthentic, the soup was watery, there were no fried peanuts and cucumber was added, so I don’t recommend it. The big salad is generous and there are vegetables, which is good!

Small restaurant in the center of Lausanne. All dishes are delicious and in good quantity. This is the first time I've seen more Asian customers in an Asian restaurant.

This is a recommended place, the price is relatively cheap, the taste is quite authentic, and the food is served quickly. However, it is more popular on weekends and it is easy to have no seats. You need to book in advance or take away.

Wow wow, this is one of the best if not the best Chinese restaurant in Lausanne. The food is absolutely delicious. We took the cumin lamb (a delight!!), spicy fried chicken (so delicious!!), fried pork (a bit sweet) and spicy beef (which wasn't spicy enough to be honest). It's in a small place but it is really excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend!

As a fellow foodie overseas Chinese myself and super foodie like my hubby - King-fu Cuisine probably is one of the best Chinese restaurants we have ever been abroad (especially compared with the ones in Japan and in CH). Small restaurant, very friendly staffs. The food is very very very delicious and it is the taste you’d have in a very good restaurant in China. We would definitely go back again when we are still in CH and we are sure our family and friends will go there and be regulars too. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is not big, so it is recommended to make a reservation. The service is good and the food is served quickly. The most wanted Northeast Lapi is out of stock, the lotus root tips and cold dishes are pretty good. But the fat beef in sour soup is not recommended. With the addition of white fungus, the taste becomes very strange.
