Kunsthaus Bar in Zürich

It’s a nice bar to go after the museum, if you have time and patience, the service is not the fastest.

It's sad that on the day of an exhibition opening (at 5 p.m.) the bar doesn't open again until 6 p.m. If you have arranged to meet friends in advance (especially after checking the opening times on the homepage AND Google), the disappointment is huge!

I'll not be returning, I hated it: it's snobby and elitist.

Very very slow service even when not very busy…

A pity. On the weekend, of all places, there are only croissants, bread with strawberry confit (no other spreads) or muesli. A wasted opportunity. Especially on weekends, when you have time to visit the Kunsthaus, you can't eat anything here. You could offer brunch or at least a slightly larger selection of breakfast options. It wouldn't be difficult. Incomprehensible to me. The staff was very friendly.

The bar has a very pleasing design. They offer a very small lunch menu and a selection of beverages. All in all, it is a nice centrally located place to sit and chat. Coffee is good, but not particularly worthy to come for it.

Worst service experience in a long time....good example for any teaching classes starting even at a low grade....completly dysfunctional....despite enough service personell....chronic disease from a medical perspective

It has a very nice design and a convenient location. The staff was super friendly, and as well as kids, friendly. The selection of drinks was good, but very limited option of food. Parking is very difficult, but it is well connected with public transport. It feels like a spot to go after a visit to the museum.

impudence. 30 CHF for two thin pieces of cheesecake, half a latte macchiato and a tea! To justify the price, this should have at least been outstanding! The ambience is nothing special. Everything is rather dark and narrow. Certainly not a café we'll go to again.

Super cool location, the food is always delicious. The staff is friendly. I always enjoy coming over.

It was nice, the entrance door wasn't very difficult to open, otherwise, spacious, inviting, everything was very good. I'd love to stop by again and then go to the Kunsthaus.

Nice restaurant, cozy atmosphere, but rather modest attention from the service.

On the inside door of the museum it says that you should use the main entrance so that they can greet us personally...we had to call 4 times until someone came to the table. Our neighbors at the table sat in front of the previous guests' dishes for 10 minutes, they tried in vain to place an order. The service employees consistently walk past the table. Miserable!

Great time to share with new Startups

Great bar, but some of the staff were very unkempt. It's a shame that management doesn't pay more attention to it. It doesn't take much. But long open and unkempt hair is a no go in a business like this when hands are constantly touching the hair. Horrible.

Second time there and on both occasions the same impression, pleasant location, unpleasant service. "ZwanzigabAchti-Schnurre" combined with a corresponding attitude and snobbery don't suit me when you're in the role of host. Too bad, won't be back until things change.

Delicious cappuccinos and a cozy way to rest before or after the museum visit

On one of the hottest summer days, we sat down from the terrace into the pleasantly cooled interior of the Kunsthaus Bar. The restaurant is generously sized and has an architectural appeal. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The only disappointing thing was that a restaurant of this level doesn't offer ice cream or coupe, but can only serve you with a simple cardboard tub like the ones sold at every better kiosk. Coca Cola is also not listed. The Vivi Cola, as a replacement, at least reminded us of our youth, where Vivi Cola was the hit of the Sunday outing! We will still go there again because we really liked the modern restaurant overall.

Perfect place to see art and work at the same time. Food and coffee is more expensive, but it’s usually not crowded with reliable access to WiFi for work for an hour or two. Would personally only grab coffee or food to dine in.

14 Chf for a bloody sandwich, plus 6 for a chocolate, plus 23 Chf for entry and you flooded with elderly groups till you see your Dali 1/2 in a labirinth of panels.honestly you feel sucked before even to have a pleasure of looking to a nice paint!

Terrible service, the waiters are not even interested to bring you the menu

Great ambience in the bar and on the terrace. The Caesar salad is highly recommended. A slightly larger selection of food would be desirable, especially on Saturdays. Maybe a special weekly dish. The service was nice but a bit reserved and not present enough.

I recently went to this store to order takeout and I have to say the customer service was a big disappointment. The employees were extremely unfriendly and showed no interest in welcoming me as a customer. As soon as I entered the store, I wasn't even given an eye contact or a simple greeting. When I went to the checkout to place my order, I waited a full 10 minutes while the two employees stood in front of me and showed no reaction. It was like I was invisible. I finally decided to leave the store without my order. Even if the staff were busy, I still expect a polite greeting and at least an acknowledgment that they have noticed me and will take care of me right away. It is unfortunate that this was not the case here. As a customer I don't feel valued and respected and that influenced my decision to never enter this store again. In this case, however, the experience was extremely negative and unfortunately I cannot recommend this business.

Another best espresso in town. Very nice and modern café. Enjoy.

We were in the city of Zurich again on Saturday. A nice, sunny place. A warm woman offered us attentive service. Ate a fine Noix Gras like the beetroot tartare and drank a glass of Riesling hmmm. O.K slightly higher price, therefore 4 stars but definitely 5 for the service and ambience.

Great place, subterranean service.

We gave this place multiple tries because the location has potential but were repeatedly disappointed. We have only encountered disinterested, self-absorbed staff, no interest in customer service whatsoever. One time we simply left after having been ignored for over 15 minutes. On a Sunday, one hour before closing, everybody was busy cleaning instead of greeting or serving us. On a side-note, unfortunately, they also seem to no longer serve natural wines.

Pleasant and classy place. Vegetarian cuisine. Possibility of having a hot drink, or a glass.

Beautiful coffee place with no budget on interior design spending.

Expensive and service was not attentive. There were only 4 of us. When we sat down, the waitress must have walked past five times and completely ignored us. The table was not cleared. There were still dirty coffee cups, plates and glasses lying around. After about 10 minutes a lady came and cleaned it up. We probably didn't have a bar menu, we thought, since she asked us straight away about our order. By the way, the table was full of crumbs and she said she would bring a rag straight away. When she came back the table was still dirty and she served my drink on the dirty table. I would have only given 3 stars for that. The last straw was when my friend ordered the bill at the table and we had to wait forever again. During this time, a table to our right and left was handled correctly. This means that it is cleared away as soon as the guests leave and cleaned up. The new guests were even welcomed and given a card! What was the reason for the unequal treatment? We were the youngest table but pay the same price so we deserve the same effort. There was no tip for the poor treatment. Never again!

Way too expensive even for Zurich prices. 2 dl iced tea tastes like chewing gum and costs 6 francs...

Nice opportunity for a small snack or a drink after visiting the Kunsthaus with its many impressions.

I can't agree with the good reviews. During my visit I missed competence and attention.

We recently went for dinner on a Friday evening; great, cozy, attentive, exciting to sit there in the sun - and very, very tasty! Especially the mini burger and the asparagus salad as well as the quick and friendly staff! Thank you for the lovely evening!

Seen a few very raving reviews about this place on all the gourmet resources coving Zurich. I agree that the place is very nice to catch some sun on a warm day and small dishes are also quite tasty. However, during the two visits we had, the waiters really did not seem very interested in the new coming clients, independent of the reservation status. Moreover, the two cocktail experiences there were extremely underwhelming. Vodka martini had so much vodka it was nearly impossible to drink and on the second visit espresso martini had some weird small pieces of ice still floating in it, no coffee beans on top and an extremely weird and unusual taste for this drink.

The new Kunsthaus Bar offers a small food menu with delicious small dishes to share. The sauces in particular had an incredible intensity of flavor. A nice selection of wines and charming service complete the experience. We would love to come back...

Very bad service, waiting for a long time for bad quality

So… a lot has already been written and passionately debated about the new Kunsthaus bar. We were there in the morning for coffee before visiting the art house, which we then skipped. Why? Because in addition to the clarity of the architectural and artistic brilliance inside, this bar also scores with something else: absolutely urban outdoor spaces! Sure, the left-wing alternative do-gooders/preventers would complain that it was far too loud. Yes, the home court has a lot of traffic. We are a city too! And several new restaurants have recently exuded this flair. In the Kunsthaus you sit exposed not only to modernity, but also to nature. When the sun shines brightly, it's a revelation just to be there. Unfortunately, the service was not as lively or classy as one would have liked. BUT the bread pastry makes any mistake excusable. A Zurich bakery produces the pain au chocolate and brioche exclusively for the Kunsthaus and they are among the best I know from this city.

New restaurant on the block. Chef Federico is creative, passionate and focuses on sustainably sourced ingredients for his dishes. We indulged a long list of watering list of delicacies. Good wine list and many new and creative cocktails are crafted regularly. The crew work closely and make a fabulous team. Great spot for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. Chilled restaurant and bar with an artistic feel. Highly recommended. Will recommend to Michelin team to drop by and check them out.

Stylish, - I like taking a break here after visiting the museum. My cappuccino - with latte art decor - was tasty and lovingly decorated. A large glass of water was offered without being asked. I also found the no-frills tableware used very appealing. Thank you!

I've been there twice and the food and Negronis were TOP!

Nice bar, I imagined it to be bigger. The bar was 80% full and we waited about 15 minutes until we could order and another 15 minutes until the drinks were served. The nice thing is that you don't have to show a Covid certificate and nobody wears a mask. The selection is quite good.

Very positively surprised: The food is very fine and creative without being fancy. The service is attentive and friendly.
