La Brasserie du Cercle in Neuchâtel

5/5 for this excellent brewery. Their dishes are tasty and elaborate, the service is impeccable with warm and welcoming staff, and the atmosphere in the room is very pleasant. Special mention to their fondue bourguignonne. I recommend !

Perfect kitchen. The menu changes very regularly. The waiters are extremely nice, the only downside is that no waiters came to us to ask how the meal was going.

The delivery of the dishes is really very beautiful, the service and fast, it was great to be able to see the kitchen

The pros : modern restaurant, spacious layout, good and efficient service, excellent salads. French fries were particularly excellent. The cons : service became a bit slower towards the end of the dinner. Some of the mussels were a bit dry

This restaurant was great! The kitchen is open, which always reassures a little because it was clean :) The servers were polite and well organized. The dishes were delicious with hot plates and the homemade dessert was superb! The only slight drawback is the toilets (which are very clean) but which overlook the restaurant so I found that it smelled strongly in the restaurant. That's it but great restaurant with good food, I recommend!!\

My comment is mainly in reaction to the negative review below, although it will still be factual. We had dinner on Friday the 29th at the circle, on the advice of our bearded waiter with glasses, we chose the foie gras then the sirloin (note that our table neighbors ate tartares and fries and did not leave the least crumb) Our meal was excellent, our server efficient, friendly and conscientious. More generally, we see that the dining team enjoys working with each other, the smiles are sincere and generous just like the plates. When we think of all those who serve frozen food in Neuchâtel and have teams of waiters who change 4 times a year, it's scandalous to read nonsense about one of the rare restaurants that has merit!

Service 2/4/6. Fear is mine! More busy chatting than dealing with customers. We ask, we wait, we ask for the bill, we wait, we ask that they come and collect, we wait. Not attentive, they wander around the room like lost people while we wait for them to take an interest in us. And the comment read below, concerning the tall black man with glasses, was justified, we confirm. The staff is not bad, but they lack training or seriousness... And my tartare, not bad, but a bit of a canteen “splotch” on my plate. Orange fries...probably the oil has already been used well a few times. Finally, we came, we're not going to come back!!

We was there for lunch! The welcome from the staff was very warm and lovely! The food wooow incredible tasty and with super quality! Cozy restaurant with good food and lovely staff! What else is there to say ENJOY

The food is excellent, the place is nice and the service is first class. Excellent, I recommend it.

Horrible experience. The waiter placed us in the worst table (next to the door and opposite the cloakroom) even though I had a reservation! The tartars we ate were mushy, they looked like the food I serve my cat.. the spritzes (12 francs each) had no taste because probably the restaurant is saving on Aperol and Prosecco and the waiter took 25 minutes to bring the bill knowing that I had clearly asked for it when he came to pick up the plates. I never plan to set foot in this “restaurant” again.

Cold light worthy of a canteen. Cramped tables. Any food. Presentation without charm. Glass full of fingerprints. Chipped wine carafe. The worst was our waiter (tall dark guy with glasses). He refills wine for the customers at the next table, sees our glasses empty and leaves without refilling us. No “thank you” or “goodbye” after paying the bill, despite me wishing him a good evening. Never seen this.

Congratulations to the whole team for this new challenge of changing location, for a new setting and the largest terrace in the city of Neuchâtel, always very good cuisine, with waiters available to customers. Kind regards to all from Mr.Stauffer

One of my favorite addresses in Neuchâtel. The dishes are good, the plates generous and the presentation careful. The menu changes regularly with the seasons and in terms of service, we are always very well received... Thank you!

Pleasantly surprised to see that the waiter knew how to speak Swiss-German, this greatly helped my grandparents who did not speak French.

Good surprise !!! The dishes are hearty and tasty; the staff is very friendly. The terrace is very pleasant; and we enjoyed being able to have another drink on the sofas outside.

The staff is very welcoming and competent. My girlfriend and I greatly appreciated the great cleanliness of the establishment, the cutlery, services, toilets, etc... however it was the meals and the food that delighted us the most. Such a wonderful place. We sat on the terrace overlooking the square with a view of the lake in the distance. Beautiful. Excellent food and service. We will certainly return.

The biquette salad was excellent, a little surprised by the roast beef which looked more like charcuterie or vitello tonato, the fries were homemade. The tense atmosphere between the waiter on the terrace and his young colleague put a damper on the comfort of the customers.

Service ok. Bland food, too bland and too expensive for what it is. The vol au vent sauce could very well have been taken out of a tray. Disappointing. I'm glad I didn't take the cordon bleu for 54 francs, the price would probably also have been overrated. Service timing too fast. We received the food 5 minutes after ordering it. No time to finish the aperitif and the salad. Too expensive for what it is.

It was our first time since the work and we were delighted. The decor is bright and warm. The staff were welcoming despite a crowded restaurant. The general atmosphere is joyful. The menu is sufficient for all tastes. The prices are fair in relation to the quality which is excellent. We had the beef steaks which were tender and delicious. The gourmet coffee was very good too. The restaurant is on the first floor with stairs. There is a beautiful terrace which overlooks Place Pury. It is better to book. A good time, with friends or family.

Really nice and modern restaurant the menu is amazing honest for Swiss prices. I’ve been there a few times already and it has never disappointed me ! 100% recommend if you want to taste a good Swiss fondue or any meat based meal !

We came as a family to share a good time over dessert and this place was chosen. Unfortunately, when we arrived, one of your servers looked at us with great contempt (perhaps he thought that at 9:30-45 p.m. we were coming to eat. This in no way excuses his attitude). When he understood that it was for dessert he gave us a place in a corner because we were surely disturbing... despite that we placed an order. the order was asked several times to repeat because it was too complicated to write it down and we were served without napkins… great! Even in fast food restaurants we are better received and served. I'm not even talking about the ice cream because our irritation didn't even allow us to enjoy it. A little more respect for your customers would be welcome. I was happy to be able to return to these places but one thing is certain, I will not return there again and I would not recommend it to those around me A word to the wise

We had a very warm welcome with the children: high chair for baby, booster seat for our oldest and the waiter brought us a coloring book to keep him busy. On the terrace the atmosphere is friendly and the dishes delicious.

Regular customer, I am very satisfied with this restaurant. Daily menus varied and always delicious. Only downside: drafts when it's cold when the door downstairs is left open.

We went to discover this new restaurant as a family yesterday and it was a very nice surprise. Both the service, the cuisine, the speed, the dishes and the setting and the advice....in short: bravo! This restaurant combines modernity with culinary tradition. The tastes are frank and authentic, the seasoning just right. The terrace in summer must be very pleasant....to check on sunny days! If I really had to look for a downside....it would perhaps be the entrance which deserves to be more visible...but it really comes down to detail!

Wonderfully renovated place, magnificent bar with an open kitchen. The bet is won, we find a superb association between modernity/sobriety and the spirit of the brasserie. The staff is very friendly, professional, attentive to our comments and above all smiling. The dishes were delicious, note that the home fries were excellent! I was fully satisfied, the quantities were generous. At the end of the meal, we were also able to chat with the bartender, who was very friendly and passionate. I highly recommend his cocktails, as well as his original creations. Regarding the price, I think it is commensurate with the service and the quality of the dishes (~400.- for 7, with a few starters, main courses, two desserts, a bottle of wine, and a cocktail ). To discover if you have the chance. Even if only to enjoy a cocktail on the terrace.
