La cabana in Saas-Fee

Best service we have encountered in Saas Fee. Food was excellent. Restaurant looks much better in real life than in the photos.

The portions were very short (we are small eaters!) Although the food was very good and the waitress very friendly we are used to frequenting this restaurant when traveling to Saasfee and were surprised by the very small quantity served on two specialties selected Portuguese and a chocolate mousse for 15.- containing the equivalent of 5 teaspoons….poor price/quantity ratio

Great little restaurant with very good food. Most dishes can also be enjoyed in small portions. We each had a small lasagne which tasted really good and was completely enough for us. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Gladly again. Price performance completely okay.

We arrived on around 2 pm on a Sunday during the low season and found this fantastic restaurant open, so we had to give it a try. And we were very pleased. The food was delicious - my wife had the osso bucco and I had a vegetarian gorgonzola gnocchi, both were wonderful. It is a cozy small restaurant that was almost empty, but I would guess that it could fill up very quickly in the busy season. The service was simply awesome, thanks to the lady serving us. Such a great restaurant in Saas-Fee.

I haven't had such a delicious steak in a while. It is a very cost-effective choice in a tourist town like Sass Fee.

Homely, welcoming, tasty food with pretty good portion for the price. We ordered 2 drinks, a small calzone (which is still pretty big) and a small pasta + banana split to share and total of around €68. Really fair price for food at the ski place in Switzerland! Recommend :)

Despite friendly staff, and a kitchen that wanted to do well, bad experience. Ordered a rare beef fillet, which arrived more than ripe. Staff apologizing and bringing me back a meat this time very red but frozen. In short, 3rd service arriving at the same time as my friends ordered coffee.... Maybe I had a bad day that day.

Found this little gem by chance. Great food with decent price - would recommend their Portuguese specialties (I know 😅 Portuguese food in Switzerland 🇨🇭). They speak little English but they are very friendly & will do their best to accommodate. Truly enjoyed our lunch here. 👍🏼

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our pizza (40 minutes). However, the pizza is good and the staff is friendly. Still, this was the longest wait for a pizza I've ever experienced.

Das Cabana liegt etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums und erst war ich ein bisschen skeptisch anhand der immer noch angebrachten ‚Weihnachtsbeleuchtung‘. Dann aber die grosse Überraschung.... Das Lokal ist ziemlich klein und gemütlich mit viel Holz. Man wurde sofort mit einer grossen Herzlichkeit empfangen, den ganzen Abend fühlte man sich sehr willkommen. Es wird von einer portugiesischen, überaus freundlichen Familie geführt, auf der Karte findet man auch portugiesische Spezialitäten, welche sehr lecker waren. Das Cordon-Bleu war eine richtige Überraschung, super gekocht und mit schweizer Fleisch. Top! Wir waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal hier.

Das La Cabana ist kein sehr grosses Restaurant und es liegt nicht an allerbester Lage. Aber es ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! Das Essen ist von sehr hoher Qualität und auf der Karte findet man für jeden Geschmack etwas - inklusive portugiesischen Spezialitäten.Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und äusserst Freundlich, ohne Aufdringlich zu sein. Wir wurden immer sehr gut umsorgt. Absolute Empfehlung für ein gemütliches Znacht abseits der üblichen Restaurants Eine Reservierung ist empfohlen, wenn man mit mehr als zwei Personen kommt.

Nach einem 4000er das Cordon-Bleu mit 🥓 ist die beste Belohnung. Klein aber feines Restaurant mit freundlicher Bedienung und unser portugisisches Mousse au Chocolat war das Sahnehäubchen 😋😋 unbedingt auch den Hauswein (einziger offener 🍷) unbedingt probieren.

Das Gericht des Tages war "Rib - Eye mit Risotto für CHF 30 .--". Was für ein unschlagbares Angebot! Es war wirklich köstlich und das portugiesische Tiramisu war auch ein Vergnügen.

Having found all other restaurants being booked out on a Saturday night we entered La Cabana and were surprised to find a Portuguese restaurant in Saas Fee where every other restaurant is either Swiss-, Italian cuisine or a Steakhouse. And there were more positive surprises: the food was absolutely delicious and the prices are incredibly low. This is a real insider tip for all who want to eat well for little money and without too many tourists.
