La Citadelle in Genève

Full metal, sometimes a good atmosphere. Large selection of collector's items and souvenirs. Good beers and original shots. I don't recommend snacks but if you are nostalgic for music and the metal rock era you have to go there!

Finally found a bar in Geneva that plays good old music. There are definitely metal lovers here, whether young or old. The atmosphere was very cozy and exciting, with nice details. It is also possible to buy CDs, Vynls or other small items there. That's what makes this bar really unique. The beer selection is great and the service is very attentive. You could stay here for hours and there is a different program every day. I hope La Citadelle stays around for a long time, because Geneva needs something like that. A retreat for music freaks.

It should be no surprise that in the heart of Les Philosphes in Geneva there is a bar that is alternative and diverse where people of all ages come together to celebrate loud music, long hair and leather. This is a place where every night is Halloween and the music is never less than 11. Most importantly though there is a welcome here. J'adore La citadelle.

I loved this place! Fantastic staff, great IPA on tap but I can't recall the name sorry. I did have a Croque Monsieur which hit the spot with practically every restaurant in walking distance that was closed on this March Sunday evening. I just wish my French was better as I would have loved to chat to the locals but alas... I bought a T Shirt like a tourist but love it! Rock on guys and girls.

Cool little rock/metal bar, very friendly staff, lively atmosphere. They almost played the entire Metallica kill em all album while we were there, which was fine by me! Would like to visit again next time I'm in Geneva.

Great welcoming atmosphere. Visited last night (Saturday) for my 1st time and will be going back. It got busy around 9.30pm. Bar staff were friendly and helpful (and coped well with my ordering in bad French). Good selection of alcohol. The music selection seemed a little random, but some good metal tunes amongst them. I sat downstairs at a big table, and that enabled me to also get chatting with some friendly locals as I get to know the city better.

A must for listening to good music as we do more when drinking unique beers, with the added bonus of good big sound that awakens the senses 🤩👍

Nice and airy pub targeting lovers of hard rock - but if you don't like the music don't worry: it's not loud at all. Nice atmosphere.

Awesome hard rock bar with amazing beer selection that reminded me of too many youthful nights listening to Iron Maiden And I tried Cardinal and Picon, a local favorite, though it didn't work for me as the beer was too sweet with added liquior. I would recommend staying with beer sans Picon.

It's a small nice warm metal bar. Casual metal bar aesthetics. Welcoming people on the bar, always ready to welcome you with a nicer that usual way for Geneva. More than fair prices, some crowd always around and subtle good music. For anyone looking for something like this in Geneva... This is the place and it's good.

This restaurant has been moved and reopened as L’Orangerie Geneve. Same staff same hospitality. Great good as usual!

Good place if you like metal music. Here you can discover various beers at a good price and you can also participate to some thematic events. You can also buy metal and rock cds and some goodies. The music is a little bit too loud here and some people are a little bit too rude and drink in the evening especially in the weekend when it can be crowded.
