La Croix d'Ouchy in Lausanne

We booked the same day and we thank the staff for finding us a place. There is enough choice for all tastes. The prices are a bit high standard but totally in line with the place, the situation, the service etc. We were very well received, we started by taking Spritz, which were not necessarily the best, it happens, too much sparkling water compared to the rest. We picked up some Hugos which were well made. We ordered a starter each, lobster salad for me, which was very good and vegetable carpaccio, a bit disappointing, no taste, just rolled raw vegetables. We followed with beef, very good, well cooked as requested and the gratin was just perfect. The only downside was the quantities of vegetables and gratin which were a little lacking. Good discovery, we advise you to go and try it for yourself. Thank you very much for the welcome which was really very nice.

This restaurant has been a sure bet in Lausanne for a long time. Small quality menu, fresh produce and very good choice of wines.

Very nice cuisine, top presentation, extra risottos. A little quick service and a little more smile would be nice.

Super good ! Came at midday and took a suggestion from the chef, veal fillet in a mushroom crust. Very successful ! The meat was tender. The restaurant was full, a little noisy.

Invalid schedule. I came for lunch and the restaurant was closed. To my “Google Maps says you are open, you need to change there” they answered “we won’t change anything, it’s too complicated, you should call before coming”... rude... no desire to return

Magnificent restaurant. The food is particularly good, served by attentive and professional staff. Be careful with your budget though, I consider this restaurant perfect for special occasions. In fact, count on 80CHF per person.

For me, it is one of the best restaurants in Lausanne. The food is always excellent, whether starters, main courses, desserts. The risotto is always great. I also recommend hunting. The service is always very friendly. The place is rather quiet, a bit noisy because it is quite small.

Excellent hunting (deer saddle) but a little less impressive than in the past. I find that the spaetzle is less "airy" than before and that the sweet taste is a little too present (accompaniment and sauce). Presentation on the plate is not very neat. The meat remains of high quality and the cooking is perfect. Nice wine list at slightly excessive prices. Efficient and friendly welcome and service. The frame is a little old and not to my taste (personal opinion). Pretty, well-set tables. Beautiful atmosphere on this Friday evening. It was very (too) hot despite the cool and rainy weather.

Always a wonderful time. Choose the restaurant room for more chic, otherwise the café side for a more relaxed and authentic atmosphere (my favorite). Favorite for the Ricotta Truffle ravioli.

Magnificent restaurant where I ate the game and the dish and taste were incredible

Really disappointing experience. I went to eat the game (good reputation it seems) with a group of friends, there were 9 of us. The service was very long (+1 hour) but we were in the middle of service so I can still understand. The meat was excellent and cooked perfectly, the spaetzle on the other hand didn't have too much flavor. The rest of the filling was fine. We ordered a lovely bottle of wine to accompany the meal. The waiter, not having known how to manage the quantities, opened a second bottle (which we of course had to pay for) without consulting us. I find this unacceptable, especially given the price of the bottle! Afterwards he spilled a glass of water on us (this can happen to everyone) but didn't even apologize. Unfortunately a bad experience which will not make me return to this restaurant. Damage.

A must-have table for years! Everything is excellent, homemade… top-notch welcome and service! Good dishes, good wines and a warm atmosphere. The terrace is large and shaded, the interior offers two beautiful rooms. I recommend without hesitation

What an absolutely magnificent restaurant! Family owned in 2 generations from what I understand and the food is delicious!! Highly recommended, do reserve in advance though because it does get crowded. Best place in town imho!

Took too long to be served, food presentation heavily outdated, extremely overpriced. Terrible service! Waited over 45 minutes to be served, while not even offered bread or olive oil. Simple plates nothing special, lower average with highest percentage ces. Do not recommend at all.

The food is good, the service friendly. But the white wine was served to us lukewarm at the table, we waited 1h30 for the dishes to arrive, and the table next door refused the bottle of wine because it arrived after the starters and decided to order at glass. We had planned to order dessert, but decided against it. I didn't come often because they are always very slow but I told myself that the food was worth it, but here they went beyond the limit of what was acceptable. At the price they charge, either they hire more people or they simplify the menu, but one thing is certain, the current situation is not tenable.

As usual top cuisine and excellent service. This place is maintaing its level and standard since years. Wondering sbout the guests complaining about the time of preparation; this is not Mc Donald. Each plate is prepared à la minute with a lot of care. If you wanna have a quick bite - go to Burger King.

What a lovely restaurant, the first restaurant we tried in Lausanne. Wow - the risottos and pastas were just outstanding. One of the best risottos I have ever eaten. We had lots of vegetarians with us and they were so happy with the options for them. We will definitely be back

Traditional restaurant of good standing.

Came as a large group, and so were encouraged to order from a makeshift set menu to ensure the service was good… despite this, it took 3.5 hours for a 3 course meal. The food was ok, but nothing to shout about.

Delicious business lunch at noon as usual. The marbled duck foie gras delighted our taste buds. For the wine: the city's unvarnished red was magnificent with the veal.

I went to eat at lunchtime with a friend, the welcome was very warm and the food was really very good and of high quality, the prices are in my opinion a little expensive, but I have very good memories and I can only recommend this establishment .

We ate very well but the service was incredibly slow. It took ~1 hour between starter and main course. Too bad because in the end we decided to leave without having had dessert, we were tired of waiting. But all the risottos we ordered were excellent. The terrace is very nice too.

The Ouchy cross is no more! Okay, let's be clear. The cuisine remains exceptional, the risotto still magical, on the other hand there are now 20 cm between the tables which completely ruins the charm of their terrace between the smoke of one, the divorce of the other..., a big effort also to be made at the service level.

Best Italian restaurant in Lausanne! An institution! I have been there often and the quality of the cuisine, wines and service are fabulous! The service is attentive. Top 3 of my favorite restaurants in Lausanne! The terrace is very pleasant.

It's the first time I went there. The terrace is very pleasant, my dish of ravioli succulent. On the other hand, the service is incredibly slow. 1 hour for the dish to arrive is too long at lunchtime. Too bad about weekend schedules. Only open Saturday evening.

In my top of the top restaurants in Lausanne, with Bernadette Blanc (boss), always kind and who knows her customers so well, the two brothers in the kitchen with their team who bring out delicacies without counting the loyal team in the dining room. Every time we feel like home. Remember to book. Looking forward to going back.

Overrated. True, service is "a l‘ancienne" and I appreciated it. True, the place keeps its original set-up and atmosphere. True, meat quality is excellent. But waiting time, more than 1 hour, between order and time when plates were served is not acceptable. As a consequence, side dish (pastas) had also been waiting too long and were spongy, so as the mustard sauce . Understood it was Saturday and place was full. At least a "sorry" or a gesture from staff /owner would have been apporpriate given the standing of the place.

I am very disappointed with our evening at this restaurant. Half an hour wait for the starter and an hour and a half to get the main course. The meal was pleasant, nothing more, and the owner offered a dessert as a gesture of goodwill for the delay. But, I was already too disappointed to appreciate it. I won't set foot there again.
