La Fontaine in Montreux

One of my favorite restaurant in Montreux! The pizza and drinks are delicious 😋 A big thanks to a Julia , she makes an excellent atmosphere!

I came back to Montreux after 5 years and I had to come back to eat the best pizza I have ever had.

The restaurant, despite being located away from the center, has good directions with Google Maps. Small, cozy and welcoming, with a very picturesque and beautiful atmosphere, as if it were a small house. Friendly, welcoming staff with fast, but familiar and friendly service. Homemade, tasty food, with an Italian taste with fresh, traditional and very tasty elements. Very well served portions and more than enough for one or two people. Simple and familiar decor, as if we were in a family or friends' home. Coming back on my next visit to the city and the country.

Hands down the best pizza in Montreux. Consistently good food and service. We always make this a stop when our guests come to town. In summer, reserve a table by the fountain, the water from this fountains (dating back from 1765) is rich in minerals and award winning (you will see many people come and fill up bags full of bottles) and is one of the reasons the pizza's dough is perfection.

I swear, I have never eaten a truffle risotto like this here at La Fontaine! Simply SUBLIME! Even the pizza was great! Very happy with this discovery. I highly recommend this restaurant. The best pizzeria in the region. They are super fast and their pizzas are super good. The restaurant is unfortunately quite small. I recommend getting pizzas to go or have them delivered.

The place is really cool in summer, a little vintage Montreux street that you hardly see anymore. The staff are super helpful and very welcoming. Small problem with the pizza, the sauce is a little acidic, it's 7/10 after all I'm a super perfectionist for this dish. Overall and for Switzerland it remains top quality! Accessible from Montreux station on foot, in two minutes.

The atmosphere is really unfortunately not at the top level The kitchen is superb though!

Nice pizza place nearby where we are staying. They are really friendly and the pizzas were great. I had the seafood one and we also had the diavola. They also do gluten free for and extra 3CHF. Also note they provide fresh water directly from the fountain. Freshest water you can get!

Quiet place and good atmosphere. I went there one morning for brunch, the pancakes were very good and the waitress was very nice.

The food was good but the people very rude, when asking for an English menu the answer was “THIS IS A LOCAL RESTAURANT!” And having clean cutlery after the first was also an issue.

NOTHING MORE… The quality of pizzas is declining or has never been up to par… The ingredients used are not identical to those touted in their advertising… The waitress harasses you as soon as you take your order for their “homemade” desserts, these are neither bad nor incredible! Poor value for money! On the other hand, the bill turns out to be juicy!!! There are other establishments in Montreux that offer better! ABE

Overrated to death, the pizzas are nothing special. The products and in particular the mozzarella are not of excellent quality, as advocated! The prices are therefore not justified at all. People who like this pizzeria must not have traveled much...

A lovely find just a short walk from the station, perched on the heights of Montreux. Great value for money - delicious pizzas, charming setting and very friendly staff. Worth a visit and bring your water bottles to fill up at the fontaine! Short stroll back down to hit the festival🎺🎷🎶

The restaurant was excellent and so was the food. In the restaurant there is a water source with fresh (free) mountain water. The wines were also delicious

Wine glass not clean, plus low-end 4 cheese pizza, full of oil which didn't taste like cheese! I don't recommend it at all, there are much better places in Montreux.

A cute Italian pizza restaurant up in the hills of Montreux, close to the old town area and train 🚂 station. The staff are very nice, and speak English, and our server spoke Russian too, which was surprisingly cool!. The pizza and appetizers were nice, and the ambience is cozy too. The restaurant is a bit away from the hassle and bustle in the lake side, which can be a good thing to enjoy a nice meal in peace and quiet ☺️

Cozy atmosphere on a nice little terrace. Varied menu, multiple choices of pizza, small wine list with regional wines. Be careful when accessing, sloping and paved street, parking spaces nearby (train station, Av. des Alpes, etc.) Competent service and attentive staff. Smiling and efficient despite the number of tables filled. Little wait.

Our pizza's were delicious, they made us a small salad that was delicious, the complimentary foccacia was also delicious! And the gentleman server was so kind and joyful! We ate outside, and the old world ambiance of the 1765 water fountain and small street charm was delightful!

Randomly decided to eat here on a rainy Tues evening and it was amazing!! We had the Latina, white sauce base with prawns, garlic, mascarpone and basil and a glass of local red wine recommended by our server. Portion was just enough for 2 of us but we aren't big eaters. 10/10 would return to try the other pizzas

The pizzas are very good. The restaurant has a very pleasant and special setting. It looks like a chalet On the other hand, if this is your first time, I advise you to park near the hospital.

Top pizza, pizza dough, cocktail. The only downside (I didn't remove a star for that but) the unisex toilets and overflowing trash can not great. When will we come back! ABE

Very good pizza and very welcoming staff

Health restrictions oblige, I had to make do with the terrace, despite the slightly chilly temperature. The plates were nevertheless hot and we really enjoyed the pizzas, the flagship (and almost only) product on the menu. Attentive staff. I enjoyed my time there.

Beautiful (semi-covered) terrace with a bubbling spring and water basin. The pizza is excellent (Tartufa), the beer is delicious and the service is very nice.

Really a Gem of a place. First of all, the place is excellent next to natural mineral water aqueduct, then the food is amazing and then the staff is very kind and efficient too. A must go to the place if in Montreux.

Fantastic. In my experience it doesn’t get any better. On top of it all the ambiance was warm and inviting. Employees were friendly and helpful. Location is great - up and away from the tourists.

We recommend. Very good pizzas, friendly staff and reasonable prices. It's right next to a spring and you can refill the spring water yourself. We'll definitely come back.

Very good pizza, there’s loads of choice! Took a bit of time to serve, but it was definitely worth the wait (they have to multitask with delivering takeaway pizzas too). Would definitely recommend.

The place is nice, next to a pretty fountain from which you can drink directly. The pizzas are big, but bland. Disappointing, considering the price.

Very warm welcome, and it's really excellent, quite a few choices in pizza 🍕 I recommend.

We were seated at a table with enough space for 4 people, there were 6 of us. No need to describe the discomfort, packed like sardines in a can! Good pizzas but nothing exceptional, often they are just as good elsewhere. In short, personally not motivated to go back!

Pizza, simple and with fresh ingredients. Made simple and we'll enjoyed. Lovely outdoor terrace, with a public fountain included for colour, to eat on and the staff is friendly. The menu has a number of excellent choices and the pizzas are authentically baked in a wood-fired oven. My only criticism is that there were only two staff serving approximately 20 tables and take-away customers.

It was a night after heavy rain and we walked up to the street and found this cozy pizza restaurant. Services was good and pizza was great! ( they even divide into two portion for us as we can’t finished one pizza alone ) recommended local wine was great too. A place to come if you happen to be at Montreux. Highly recommended

Great mostly local pizza joint. Outside seating, great food. We didn't have a reservation, and had to haggle a bit for a table (several empty).

Dont go here. Horrible food and experience The place : More like a club than an actual Pizzeria. The music is very reggaeton and latino. My head was buzzing after having eten here after the music. The food: Quatro Frommagi (4 cheese) pizza felt more like plastic than an actual homenmade pizza. The crust was okay and felt homemade. However the cheese was frozen and some wasnt even melted. The waiters seemed like they were hired for the season only. And messed up my order with an other client. They were polite though. If youre here for the food and the place, DONT COME HERE.

Very nice food (yet they didn’t even cut the pizza into pieces so we had to struggle with not really sharp knives and cut it ourselves), bad service (waited for the menu approximately 20 mins, and waited to pay for the order even longer even though had 3 waitresses next to us) and also not really good drinks. Didn’t bring the right beer order, as well as the lemonade tasted too sugary and not that good. Nice and cozy place but uncomfortable tables and places to sit. In general, the experience was ok in terms of food, but in terms of everything else quite annoying and disorganised!!!

Had a Margherita Pizza around lunchtime. it was good! Asked for water and they gave me a bottle instead of tap and charged me for it. The atmosphere is nice and it's right by the main train station.

It’s a climb to get here from the Eurotel but it is worth it! The pizza del mare is fresh, flavorful and rivals any pizza from Italy. Definitely will come back again!

Fabulous tucked away place just off the main road in Montreux. We got Pizza here twice during our stay. Great views, service and food.
