Were here for lunch. Everyone was very friendly, the food was authentic and super good and on top of that there was a fantastic view of Lake Maggiore and Locarno. Will definitely come again sometime. Thank you👍

Awesome view, nice service. Unfortunately, only one menu was possible, pasta with indefinable sliced ​​meat (it gave the impression that all the leftovers were cooked in it), for which we also paid CHF 21.50. Which was definitely too expensive and we didn't really like it (hence only three stars). We also had to wait 20 minutes for the food, even though there were only three guests. A pity!

You will be greeted warmly on the phone as soon as you make your reservation. You will also receive a friendly welcome when you enter the restaurant. The view is amazing. When it comes to eating, local emphasis is placed on sustainability. The food is tasty without glutamate etc. Since there is no mass production, the price is a little higher but affordable.

This is a restaurant where everything fits together: fine, very carefully prepared food made from regional ingredients, very friendly service and a well-kept and tastefully decorated restaurant. You can also enjoy the view over the lake from the terrace. We ate a risotto with cheese, drank a red wine and were completely satisfied! Thank you.

Great picata with mushroom risotto

My family (wife and 2 children aged 14 and 20) spent the last 4 days in 2 apartments at La Fosanella and enjoyed breakfasts and dinners at the restaurant. Both the restaurant and accommodation is owned and managed by couple, Sandra and Thomas. To say that they were the perfect hosts would be an understatement. Guests are treated like visiting friends and nothing is too much trouble. Thomas is also the chef, and after dining there one can understand why La Fosanella has forged such an enviable reputation in this region of Switzerland in the canton of Ticino. The views from the apartments and restaurant across lake Maggiore to the resort towns of Locarno and Ascona Are without doubt some of the loveliest in Europe. Enjoying some of the tastiest meals I have eaten while overlooking this vista, followed by a beer on the balcony as twilight fades and the lights of Locarno begin to twinkle in the mirror surface of the lake, certainly made me think this was as close to paradise as one could come on earth! It was worth every cent to travel all the way from Western Australia to visit this hidden gem of a location in the south of Switzerland. It was an equal pleasure to have known Sandra and Thomas, and their gorgeous young daughters whom we also had the pleasure of meeting during an idyllic stay.

We were looking for a place to eat, but everywhere was closed. The new restaurant at La Fosanella was supposed to open in two weeks, yet, when the owner was awesome. He gave us drinks and made some food just for us.

Amazing views with fabulous antipasti to go with it! Excellent friendly service....Perfect lunch spot all round.
