It's the farm bar where I ate the best cheese crust and the best rösti...and the tomato fondue 🍅 a marvel...like the rest. I have never found such quality anywhere else, service 5 🌟 good humor.

This is one of those rare places where you are satisfied each time you go for a meal, be that having their daily menu for a very modest sum of money, a brisolet during the second half of October or if you have pre-reserved your favourite piece of meat for the true carnivores. The meals are generous as is the way you are treated by the family cooking and serving the products from their farm in this valley at the end of the road. Strongly recommended for those looking for authenticity without fuzz.

Arriving by chance in this magical place, we were warmly welcomed, although it was almost 2 p.m. for lunch. The meal was excellent, only good produce, from the farm, very good cuisine, simple, real, as it is rare to find, all in a grandiose setting. The best place we ate in Switzerland and paradoxically the cheapest!! Luckily, we were able to chat with regulars of the place, who come back often too! I keep the address carefully! Impromptu arrival on a Friday early evening. We were made very welcome even though we had not booked. A small table was quickly found for us and the service was impeccable from start to finish. Super boletus fondue, full of succulent boletus! The setting is magnificent and peaceful in the middle of the mountains. Enclosures with farm animals, play area for children. And really, a friendly and dynamic service. We will come back.

Wonderful place for children who will have a blast going around the farm where they will meet donkeys, horses, cows, chickens, rabbits, geese, goats, pigs, fish, dogs, cats and I'm sure I'm forgetting some. In addition, a trampoline and swing complete this beautiful, well-appointed place. Very friendly place where you eat excellent rösti and farm meats to order. All this at unbeatable prices! To top it all off, the owners are very, very friendly and smiling. To recommend without hesitation.

Relais fermier is a fantastic example of the rural authentic Switzerland up in mountains. The chalet is a mixture of a farm and a cafe. The building itself dates back to the early 19th century and is surrounded by outbuildings such as a huge old barn. There is also a small field where they keep animals - a donkey, a horse, and some goats with tinkling bells. The owners are very friendly and talkative as well as their two huge dogs. The cafe is decorated with some authentic rural objects that once were in use. But the best part is their homemade sorbet of different flavours that is simply extraordinary and the view of snow laden peaks of the mountains, surrounding this spot. A short walk into the village will reveal breath-taking meadows that will get you into the 'Sound of Music' movie mood.

A little or a big hunger? Want to have a great time? Only one address: the La Soldanelle farm inn, in Plans-sur-Bex, on the road to Pont-de-Nant. Better than that, very difficult...!

So charming! We loved the farm, the lovely hostess/waitress/chef and all of the furry entertainment. The salad was simply incredible and the rostis were delicious. We only wish that we had saved room for dessert.
