La Taberna in Avenches

We had lunch in this simple but authentic Spanish eatery on a Saturday mid March of 2024 before going to the nearby National stud farm to shoot, e.g. photograph, storks in the afternoon. Shrimps in garlic and chicken wings were on the menu, served along with an excellent red by a pleasant and efficient waitress. Recommended!

We enjoyed the clams, everything was very good. Great for getting over a little homesickness. Nice little restaurant, simple and pretty decor. Where you can drink a good "Estrella". I will definitely return The owner takes great care.

Very very good Spanish restaurant, we enjoyed the tapas!! A very good discovery. We came on a Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m. and they were still serving food. The server was very friendly and patient with us. He spoke French and Spanish too. There are thematic evenings (rather singing/flamenco) which are organized from time to time, the idea seems great to me. All the tapas we tasted were excellent and the dessert a marvel, we will come back! THANKS!

For fish it's the best in Avenches I ate the octopus the seafood salad a delight the paella it's one of the best in Spain it's in Avenches

A wonderful place with a good atmosphere...the wonderful service, the very friendly waiter...the exceptional food. I couldn't imagine going to Switzerland and having such good cuisine while being so far from home.

It was quite busy but the service was slow, they worked hard but were under staffed it seemed. Food was very disappointing and very pricy. Not good at all for vegetarians. Had a cheese platter and some fried potatoes, husband had cheese and Parma ham, and a soft drink each, came to chf 70!! Some of my cheese was moldy and when pointing out all he said ,oh sorry‘. Would not go again. Sorry

Spanish bar in Avenches, very good attention, quality of products with spectacular cuisine that tries to respect tradition with the personal taste of the chef. Very competitive prices like beers at 4.50 CHF and tapas at 5-12CHF. Also fish and meat dishes and paellas among others!

Andalusia and its typical food. Beautiful atmosphere with music, flamenco, rumba and live guitar. Tapas and good humor. A paella here and a "pasito para adelante Maria". Plus, immersion in the beautiful beach landscapes of southern Spain. Olé!

Super delicious! Lots of good tapas to share with friends. Tortilla, patatas Bravas, chorizo ​​al vino, prawns, crema catalana from Murcia! Everything is a treat!! Taste their bottled beers.

There is fabulous food and a warm atmosphere here. Everyone should eat here. I would make my own trip to Avenches just to stop here again. Big recommendation.
