L'alpage in Vex

Very friendly staff. The food is not typical for a ski resort, as it is quite sophisticated...but surprisingly good. Prices are rather high though.

Having booked a table (for 6 people), they made us wait outside for 20 mins in the cold. When we were allowed inside, there were 3 empty tables for 6 people. They sat us right next to the open door, saying they couldn't give us the others because a party of 8 could sit there. It was freezing. I put an extra jumper on, was sitting there in my coat and with a blanket from outside. They sat a party if 3 at one of the other tables and a party of 6 at the other. The food was also poor. I had salmon which was dry and overcooked. My husband's rosti was so hard on the outside, it was very unpleasant. Disgraceful in every way.

The food was good and the portions were large. The service was a bit complicated at the beginning because we weren't shown to a seat and the seats we chose were apparently (not visible) reserved.

We eat very well there but the service is catastrophic, not necessarily because of the waiters (although the waiter left a beer for my 6 year old daughter... even though we had not ordered a beer at the table) but because of the lack of staff. The owner should perhaps hire additional servers, but every year it's the same thing...20' to take the order, 30' to pay after several reminders. Painful all the same when profit comes first…

Poor service three hours to be served disgusting food we were sick all night the boss always with his glass of red he thinks he is someone who is not since he has his waitress in his bed his customers come second I hope that it will not last because we are asking ourselves questions until it is gone, we hope that the thyon consortium will act quickly to change the manager, more competent, more human, more understandable and attentive to its customers, we hope to find our mountain pasture again that we loved and knew in the shortest possible time

Excellent restaurant, the prices are unbeatable, the meat is selected by the owner, only Swiss products. Menus for 25-28chf starter main course

One of the best on mountain restaurant in the area. Love their Rosti. Great atmosphere and excellent wine list. Very cosy. I prefer this for lunch over every restaurant I’ve tried on the Verbier side. Lovely outdoor terrace when the sun is out.

At almost 2000m you have a great view of the mountains. An absolute dream view. The service is very fast and very friendly! We had a Valais platter. Totally recommended. The meringue with double cream was also a poem.

The service at the cheese dairy is so friendly that you would like to buy everything from the man! It definitely deserves the 5 stars :) Also because the cheese and sausages are absolutely delicious! People come here for its spacious and sunny terrace when the sun and blue skies are there, but the cuisine is average and the price has increased.

Extraordinary lunch on the alp, eating and buying dairy products directly from the cheesemaker. Really nice place with entertainment for children.

Arrived at 1 p.m. on the terrace. So, yes, we are placed. But then we wait… we wait… 5’, no one comes or glances at us, 10’… 15’… 20’… We leave… So disappointed! The waiters and the boss see nothing… Ok! Nice… 1 star for the landscape…

A restaurant located at the back of the ski resort that is famous for its cheese. The weather was good that day and I was able to see the Matterhorn in the distance. I had white wine and my companion had a Matterhorn-like parfait, which is a picture🖼

Waited 50 minutes for the food, a portion was simply forgotten and only brought when asked. The food was brought quickly and the service was nice.

Too expensive, portions too small, waiting times too long for a ski slope restaurant. That was the last time here.

The price is something you have to get used to, but then the friendliness and the quality of the food are at least right. You come in with a reservation, even though some of the tables are empty. But, the dessert and cake are very good!

By far (but very far) the best restaurant on the Thyon 2000 estate. And what's more, with a smile, even in busy periods (in Switzerland that almost deserves a medal).

it was horrible! The woman on duty was really rude, not kind and not flexible! the meals are expensive and not good! This is a place for the trash! I'm not happy with this restaurant!

Unfortunately, our service was extremely rude and unfriendly. We were 7 people. 6 people in the group ordered drinks AND lunch. One person didn't want to eat, but wanted to sit at the table with the rest of the group and order drinks. The lady had the nerve to want to move our group to a table of four for this reason. Two people asked whether it was possible to have an existing menu (rösti) without meat. We not only received a dry no in response - which would have been completely fine - but also extra expressive eye rolling, groans and sighs. The food was really good in itself - but of course the visit was overshadowed by the impossible way in which we were treated as guests. A pity.

Our waitress was very rude. I would never order anything from her again in my entire life. But food was delicious.

Very unfriendly staff. They wanted to sit 6 of us at a small table for 4 because the 7 person didn't order anything to eat, but did order something to drink. Should she stand next to us or what? We definitely won't come here again. Very very wrong!!! 🤬

It was very inflexible with the order, there was no possibility of omitting or combining anything from the menu. Our service was very unfriendly. We had a reservation for 7 people, but someone didn't want to eat, so they took a table away from us and sat us all at a 4-person table. Nothing for vegetarians and vegans... I won't be going there again...

A good restaurant that can be visited between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Afterwards it becomes shady and is no longer attractive. Good cuisine with exciting menus.

Waited an hour for food. Out of 8 people, one person forgot and forgot again. Three pieces of toasted bread with a beef tartare and a price of 44.- per portion was a disaster. Unfortunately my drink was also empty and not replaced. With an empty stomach I have to say I won't be coming back.

Cheese fondue and the cake of the day were to die for. Sun terrace, a fantastic view and very friendly staff and therefore justified 5 stars.

We spent 1 hour and no one cared about us. Couldn’t even order food or drinks. A kind reminder 4 times to the staff that totally neglected us. We had to leave hungry and thirsty. They just focus hard to get guests seated….. weird place- never again!!!

The restaurant has good food but it takes to long to take the order. You sat there for an hour without food and they don’t pay attention to the mask requirement. They don’t always have everything that is on the menu and I mean why is that on the menu. The staff were very disorganized and they could only speak French and not even good English.

Very nice. Food tasted good. A bit crowded and narrow, but there's nothing you can do about it. Food is expensive (for Germans :-) ) but then again, that's Switzerland. It was quite cold, I don't think there was any heating in the house. We froze something while eating. Luckily the soup was hot 😉😁. 5 stars for the friendliness of the service.
