Unfriendly! Worst coffee gelato that I have ever eaten in Ticino (taste indefinable/whole pieces of ice cream) Never again…☹️

We always go in the afternoon in winter when it's sunny, the staff is kind, friendly, the prices are reasonable and you can eat and drink everything! The ice cream and toasts are particularly good! I advise! It's the warmest and cheapest place in Ascona!

I really like eating pancakes and drinking coffee here on sunny days☀️

Comfortable hotel, clean rooms, in winter the rooms are warm, heated bathroom floors. The only thing is that you have to pay for breakfast..

This wonderful gelateria with a magnificent view of the piazza and the lake has been a must for us for many years when we are in Ascona. The service is extremely lovely, friendly and prompt. We are also often amazed at how confidently they deal with impatient tourists They (even though they're on vacation) complain because things aren't moving too quickly for them. The large selection of excellent ice cream flavors and the beautifully decorated coupes are a great pleasure every time! It is understandable that the ice cream purchased at the stand/counter cannot be eaten at the table (there is enough public seating). The terrace must be reserved for guests who have coupes, coffee, prosecco, etc. etc. be free to consume. It is also important to mention that the two women Sabrina and Nelia have been enhancing this gelateria with their charm for years and are doing an invaluable job. Big compliment, we always like to come back.

1 ster is here more then enough. Staff/Owner is there just for the money, observed there a couple of times when visiting Ascona, Staff never smile. Ice cream: average taste Tables/Chairs: you are not allowed to eat your ice cream on certain chairs , they have literally different signs for this. (I Traveled the world but never seen this before) Better you go to Gelateria Pinocchio! There , they love their job, the 2 owners are always smiling and chatty , and they have terrific nice ice creams!

Wonderful. Everyone should try this place. Not only take away but also eat-in options are very good. A must try is Gondola and grapa cappuccino.

Since I have known Ascona (1990) there has been this gelateria with absolutely delicious ice cream on the corner of the piazza. This time we were the first to sit inside because it was so cold. The cappuccino and latte are also great, the service is quick and attentive, only the entrance door is usually left open and it is drafty inside. Still a good place to warm up and obviously popular with locals too.

Good ice cream, long wait. Nice seating for cups and panini with a view of the piazza. For an ice cream sundae you don't get the ice cream flavors on the menu.

Got ice cream at the counter. I like coffee and tiramisu. Children: Stracciatella, strawberry and vanilla. All three of us threw the ice cream in the bin because it simply tasted very bad. Maybe it wasn't quite fresh anymore. Service seemed really annoyed.

Ice creams are too sweet and the taste is overall not amazing - probably suitable for those who have an ice cream craving and need a sugar fix. If you are looking for good artisan ice cream, this isn’t it.

One of the best locations in Ascona to have an ice cream sundae. Unfortunately, it doesn't taste particularly good, and we've rarely had the chocolate sauce for Coupe Denmark so bad, regardless of the country. A pity.

When I dropped my ice cream while taking it, the nice lady offered me a new one for half the price, the ice cream was incredibly good and refreshing, the lady was very welcoming despite the language barrier, I'd love to come back!

I can only judge the ice cream, which has probably been there for about 20 years. Always perfect so far. The queue in front of the counter in summer speaks for itself. The prices are certainly at the upper limit, like so many things on the promenade in Ascona and Locarno.

Friendly staff, the hazelnut ice cream was good, the Rafaello did not taste like Rafaello.

One of the best gellatos I have eaten here in Switzerland!!! We visited the shop several times to take away ice cream or eat it there. Price/performance is good, thumbs up, vegan ice cream as well as sorbet and cream ice cream. The coupes are super fine and they even make special wishes come true. Would come again at any time.

Amarena ice cream is so delicious. Was only ever at the ice cream stand, I can't judge the rest.

A real traditional ice cream parlor which is successful on the shores of Lake Ascona. Very cold and gluten-free ice creams which prove that the recipe is very original. Great selection and delicious.

Die Glacés die hier angeboten werden sind sehr gut. Ich hatte Pistazie und Tiramisu. Einfach toll. Und nur einige Meter nebenan hat man eine wunderschöne Sicht auf die Prommenade.

Lekeres Eis aber die Bedinung ist ungeduldig und nicht gerade freuntlich. Ich hate Lipenstift an meinem Glas!!

Nice place to eat ice cream, with an unobstructed view of Lake Maggiore. (Unfortunately the cheap parasols that are everywhere ruin the picture a bit) Staff only said the bare minimum "hello, bye" and simply threw the bill on the table with the ice cream. 13CHF for an ice cream sundae is expensive even for Switzerland - the ice cream was tasty but overall nothing special. The service appears to be “hands-on”. Next time I'll think about whether I'll have another ice cream sundae here.

The ice cream does not taste good and the service is very poor. I bought an icecream and a soft drink at the counter and sat at one of the tables. Then an old waitress came and sent me away, she said I could not sit at the table with an icecream in the cone. I pointed that I bought the ice cream here and also the soft drink, but still she did not let me sit there. I paid CHF 9.50 for 2 balls of ice cream and a coke in a gelateria but they did not let me sit at their own table to eat and drink there. Ridiculous and terrible service!

Les meilleures glaces du coin ! La pistache et la noisette sont à tomber.. On prend toujours les mêmes parfums et c’est très rare qu’on arrive à trouver mieux ..

3.40 francs for a scoop of ice cream (very expensive even by Swiss standards, in Locarno 5km away you can get 2 scoops for 3.70). Amarena cherry, taste okay but not particularly good, and not a single cherry included. Completely unacceptable for this price.

Classic meeting place for artisanal ice cream

We stopped to see the January 1st fireworks. The waitress has something extra. He speaks dialect, which doesn't hurt at all, the crepes are delicious

Wir waren hier um am Neujahrstag das Feuerwerk anzuschauen. Wir saßen auf einem "erhöhten" Terrasssenplatz, genossen das Spektakel bei einem Glas Wein. auch ohne Spektakel lässt es sich hier gut sitzen und die Landschaft genießen.
