Le Black Lodge in Yverdon-les-Bains

The food is good but the owner seriously lacks professionalism. We wanted to reserve the upstairs room for an event, at first everything went well, then it was impossible to get real information and get real answers to our questions. And finally, no more response from them. After a few weeks without answers we finally decided to book a more professional place.

Very cool, good beer, good food, great music.

To spend an after-work evening or to eat with the family. Delicious shaker cocktails and must-try cuisine for lovers of real hot dogs and burgers. Homemade matchstick fries. We enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for your efficient service.

Very expensive for what was on the plate. I had to wait 30 minutes to receive my beer. Rude staff, I advise against it.

Good welcome and smiling and helpful staff. Very good culinary experience and the quality/price ratio is good. The only downside is that the upstairs room is a little noisy when there are a lot of people. I recommend this establishment.

Cool place where you can listen to great music (rock, metal, 70s, indie... very roots) while eating burgers that you won't see anywhere else. A large choice of brewer's beer (with a preference for Sirius beer ;-) enough to make your mustache foam. The team is at the top

I've been there 3 times, it's not bad but for me it sells a "thing" that I can't find on the plate. I would like to have US beers on tap and not Belgian. The quality of service is quite fluctuating... Strangely enough, the quantity of fried chicken seems to vary each time I visit it. Chili con carne is served without rice, I find it strange to offer it with fries. The burger doesn't have much appeal, especially at this price. Afterwards this address has the advantage of offering dishes that cannot be found elsewhere but the concept deserves to be improved.

Very good cuisine. I've tried several things and have never been disappointed. The staff is super friendly too and attentive to our needs ( allergies etc). Very good advice as well. I highly recommend. The music is a little loud, but we can still hear each other so it's okay... (and it's good music so it doesn't bother)

Kobe ground steak....strangely tough and classic

Beautiful original discovery in the heart of Yverdon-les-Bains. Restaurant with a small covered terrace. Not to be confused with the terrace near La Thielle, which is a terrace for a drink or takeaway food from the Black Lodge with the principle of: first come, first served (no reservation possible). The food is good, the service is fast and the staff friendly. Thank you for the welcome, I will come back.

The Pastrami tastes like Schwart’s in MTL, the homemade fries browned to perfection… frankly top notch. Good choice of good draft beers from here and elsewhere. Authentic atmosphere, no fakes! Good music (aaaaah finally a place that has good playlists 🙏) To eat and or have drinks with friends!

I tried the nachos and the ribs, they were delicious, the service was pleasant, smiling and attentive. The team is bringing back to life a legendary place in Yverdon and it was a pleasure to return there. We had a very pleasant evening.

Great atmosphere and good beers

Each Burger will delight you with the exception of the "Kobe" burger with Wagyu meat, it is certainly a good burger, but the meat is absolutely not up to par. Too cooked to let the Wagyu express itself. Not worth the 35 CHF spent. I may be a little harsh on my rating of ⭐⭐⭐ but I would like to add that it is important that the servers do not talk nonsense. “It’s Kobe beef” well no. It’s Wagyu beef from Bern. No Kobe. Even in Japan they make the difference between beef that comes from Kobe or not. And the quality is very different. Otherwise the fries are good, the salad is nice. So if you want to enjoy it, take everything except the Wagyu burger. (The pastrami is super good as is the chicken.)

Very nice restaurant with a small menu (good point for me) and super friendly staff. The pastrami was delicious and spicy as I like it. I give "only" 4 stars because the music was really VERY loud. I loved the playlist though but when you're eating with someone it's hard to hear each other. The rest was perfect

The service is great. The letter is short. There is only one hamburger for example although they have many different and delicious dishes. I advise... everyone. A spectacular variety of beers. A very well done interior decoration inspired by The Black Lodge from the Twin Peaks series. The cooks are very friendly and speak many languages.

What can I say in a word that could sum up PARADISE well, frankly I like to eat well I am also a wanderer I like taste everything and everywhere but frankly for Yverdon and even 40km around, you would never have a quality and a finish like that even the places and perfect I recommend without fail

Just incredible, the ribs are crazy, the pastrami in my god, a treat. The strawberry mojito is delicious. The service, the place and the atmosphere would be worth much more than 5 stars.

We started with the nachos which were spicy with avocado, tomato and a good dose of melted cheese. As a drink, a magnificent strawberry mojito with real fruit puree, good balance, just delicious. We ended up with ribs with homemade barbecue sauce at Jack's Daniela with crunchy homemade fries and a coleshaw!.
