VIGATA Hôtel-Restaurant in Yverdon-les-Bains

Discovery of this restaurant, very pretty setting in an Italian decor. We ate well and the service was pleasant. The negative point, there was a smell of sewage which perfumed the room, the waitress apologized beforehand and placed us in the café. It's not the fault of the restaurant which, like us, had to endure the work next door, but a gesture on their part by offering the coffees would not have left me leaving with this negative feeling.

I can't judge for the hotel part but the bar part is top service and drinks in a magnificent setting

Evening meal with friends. Entrance = Well stocked board with quality products. Main course = Quality food, everyone really enjoyed it. For my part, a magnificent octopus, simply excellent! Nice wine library for all budgets. Very pleasant service from a lady present that evening.

Very nice Italian restaurant, good cuisine with quality dishes, well done! Nice little vinoteque too. Small downside with one of the waiters who I didn't appreciate at all with his gags, too bad...

Restaurant review: food delicious, service excellent, decor great but portion sizes are small. Been twice, once had pasta (extremely small portion- left hungry) and next had duck 40 chf with no side dish. I presume you have to order ia side dish as an extra but wasn't aware until my plate arrive. But would have liked it included or pointed out.

Response to your message: You also have a small enoteca and in any case last year you sold on the internet. I have proof of payment with your name “vigata”. I went there, to your enoteca!!, some time ago and as usual no one responded to my request. —————— My only experience is an online order paid for and never received. Despite several calls, no one ever gave me an answer. I just wasted my time and money.

Great after-work experience. Very good Campari Spritz! Clean and pretty place, different from what Yverdon already offers. Good attention! Italian products for sale. I will come back for the Restaurant

We stayed 1 night in the establishment. We had a standard suite. Considering the price (€208, via booking) and the standard claimed by the establishment, we were disappointed on several points: - the smell of stifling synthetic perfume which masked a smell of cold tobacco - the floor was dirty (see photos): presence of numerous hairs and fur, stains from wet footsteps. Was there really any cleaning of the floor between the previous occupant and us...? - the click-clack bed!! was noisy, but especially one of the footboards folded in the night, and the bed was tilted all night. The sheets had holes (see photo) - the room was overheated, we had to turn off the heating and sleep with the window open. We found the value for money poor We sent an email to management with no response. Hence this negative opinion. A commercial gesture would have been appreciated.

Very warm welcome from the staff, contemporary and chic atmosphere, delicious dishes and a very beautiful wine cellar. I can only recommend the place!

Average experience this time. Exit the Italian service... The focaccia previously served spontaneously is now part of the menu. With a charcuterie dish (standard: mortadella, salami, raw ham), the small sides and real Italian specialties have disappeared, as have the small plates to place the beautiful slice of raw ham or mortadella. You now have to cut it on the plate... the tiramisus in its glass is placed directly on the table, probably to save on dishes... we eat well there, although I was not convinced by my dish of tuna with sesame taste charred, but the address has lost a little (to put it mildly) of its charm.

I really appreciated the quality of the welcome, the service and the mixed platter is delicious! Made up of cold meats, cheeses, jams and other high-quality local products, all for less than 20.-, it's definitely worth a detour! Accompanied by a glass of white or rose from the region 🔥 well done!

1 night with breakfast. New establishment, very well equipped and very clean apartment. Lovely staff. Very beautiful restaurant room or interior patio. Too bad the restaurant was closed that evening. Simple and effective breakfast with an Italian coffee! Private parking.

Hotel rooms are noisy because of the restaurant and the cleaning next morning. Kitchen utilities and pots and pans are missing.

Excellent rooms and friendly staff!

We went to Vigata to eat with our 12 year old pre-teen! According to him, he lived his best life ;-) Everything was very good, well served, both on the plates and in the glasses! In addition, the staff took great care of him. We had a very pleasant evening!

The place is very well decorated, you feel good in the different spaces that the place offers. The service is friendly and efficient. The cuisine is refined and warm.
