Very good restaurant in the heart of the village of Mathod, the cuisine is excellent and the service impeccable! We will return there for sure! We went back and it's still good. Small card but very well worked.

Very pretty country restaurant. Absolutely worth discovering.!!! The dining room is very well decorated, as well as very warm. The service is impeccable, the quality of the products are very fresh and I recommend that you discover the filet mignon as well as the salted butter caramel ice cream, which are killer.

Easy to access and park, small hotel restaurant with a family atmosphere, you will surely be served by Mario with great care. Dinner is served until quite late considering customs in Switzerland. The cuisine is homemade and the chef and his team are very friendly; a pleasure to taste kampot pepper, a Cambodian ingredient whose integration into dishes is perfectly mastered.

We stopped for lunch at this modest hotel-restaurant in the sleepy village of Mathod on our way home from Yverdon via Orbe. The restaurant has ambitions, as shown by serving you an amuse-bouche as a free starter and an excellent home made piece of chocolate with your coffee. There is a decent choice of meat, fish, poultry, vegetarian dishes and local wines; Olivia chose tofu with morels and black rice. I opted for an entrecôte ordered blue but served medium rare. Service was rapid and pleasant and we ate on the terrace, overlooking the parking lot.

Friendly welcome. We chose the large menu. Everything was delicious and the plates were well presented and, importantly, very hot. Nice choice of wines from the region.

I recommend. The meal is very good. The setting is really very nice and the dishes delicious.

We ate perch fillets and filet mignon with fried morel sauce. It was excellent. A good address.

I ate on a Wednesday evening. The menu is small but everything is homemade and with good taste. We received a delicious little appetizer. The filet mignon with morels was fabulous. For dessert, we had the surprise ice cream menu: 5 scoops of mystery ice cream: you have to guess their flavor, not so easy! Place to discover.

Everything was perfect. From arrival to departure we were looked after and spoiled. only fresh products and prepared with care and served with kindness. We go back there often.

Only positive point: Good cuisine, the dishes taste good. On the other hand, the prices are MUCH too expensive, really inexplicable: the place is completely lost in the countryside in a sort of inn, the cuisine is not really gourmet (it's classic dishes that you find in any restaurant in Switzerland), the game meat comes from Poland (??) and yet, be prepared to spend at least more than 60.- CHF for a basic starter, a main course and water. That is, prices similar to those in Zurich. The worst part was that the woman who served us behaved as passive-aggressive and unfriendly as possible throughout the meal, as if we were disturbing. I point out that we left a note of 900.- for 9 people so given the price paid it's just not possible to be treated like that. There's really nothing that allows me to recommend this place.

We were perfectly welcomed, with a smile and discretion. With one person suffering from celiac disease and another sensitive to salt, our requests were completely met. The food is fine and the menu varied. I recommend !

1/4 hour before the end of the service (arrived at 1:30 p.m.), “the kitchen is cleaned” that’s annoying. However, we had the opportunity to eat perch fillets from Lake Geneva. It was good !

Good food, but the parking lot is under construction until spring The restaurateurs send you to the church, but the parking lot was full. I toured for fifteen minutes before finding a place at the stadium.

Accueil mitigé, Bon mais sans plus. Nous commandons une coupe Danemark, la crème avait tourné... On demande d'enlever la crème si un nouveau dessert nous est donné, la serveuse part avant qu'on finisse notre phrase... Service décevant, nourriture moyenne. Je n'y retournerai pas.

C'était une belle soirée d'été 2020, une bouffée d'air en pleine période de crise sanitaire mondiale. Les plats étaient très bons, inventifs et beaux. La carte intéressante et riche. La terrasse magnifique et grâce au covid, les tables n'étaient pas très proches les unes des autres, je sais que cela fait baisser les recettes du restaurant mais cela augmente tellement mon plaisir du restaurant. Tout était nickel, sauf peut-être un détail qui pour moi ne l'est pas, c'est cette archaïque manière de croire que l'homme et le vin sont liés, pourtant c'est bien une femme assez jeune qui nous a servi mais de toute évidence il n'est pas encore clair pour les professionnels du service que de nos jours en 2020, les vins c'est une question de couple et non plus une question d'homme.

Les repas a l'emportait sont excellant et bien variés de l'entrée aux desserts. Les tenanciers sont super sympas

Nous avons mangé la Chasse... c'était très bon, bien présenté et belle assiette. Il n'y a pas grand choix sur la carte mais les produits sont frais et de qualité. Le cadre est sympa et les serveurs (patrons ?), très professionnels. Seul bémol, les prix sont un peu élevés... mais nous reviendrons.

A consommer sans modération ! Vous allez passer un moment de détente et vous régaler. Enfin un restaurant qui propose les plats enfants pareil que pour les grands. Oubliez les chicken nuggets et faites leurs déguster un tartare de cerf aux canneberges. Hmmm... Et des joues confites de cerf, si délicieux et tendre, du plaisir pur. On ne saurait trop apprécier les subtiles dressage du chef et le soin apporté aux légumes et accompagnements, BRAVO. La patronne est relax, le personnel attentionné, bref, on y revient souvent. Sans COVID, le coin famille avec des jeux pour les petits c'était bonnard. Vivement un retour à la normale.

C'est au milieu d'une randonnée pédestre depuis Valeyres sous rance que nous sommes tombés par hasard sur cet hôtel restaurant.Nous avions trouvé la table si sympathique et excellent que nous avons renouvelé l'expérience plusieurs fois avec toujours le même degré de satisfaction.

Rien à redire sur la cuisine ! Tous les plats goûté étaient excellents, quoique la crème brûlée un peu trop noyée par l'alcool pour la flamber. Le petit moins, le prix des vin un peu surfait.

Nous sommes arrivés à huit adultes, avec des enfants en bas âge. Une salle de jeux est d'ailleurs consacré, c'est qui est super. Nous avons extrêmement bien mangé, très bonne présentation des plats, avec un très bon accueil au départ. Mais lorsque nous sommes arrivés au dessert la serveuse n'a pas eu une attitude professionnelle lorsqu'on lui a demandé si l'assortiment de glace surprise contenait de l'alcool ou du café (tout le monde n'aime pas l'alcool ou la Mokka). Celle-ci n'a pas voulu aller en cuisine demander alors que le restaurant était loin d'être rempli. Un ami courageux prenant ce dessert, nous avons dit à la serveuse que nous attendons de voir le dessert pour en faire de même. Pour la serveuse c'était impossible car elle n'allait pas faire un DEUXIEME SERVICE. Nous espérons que par cet avis, elle va changer... Sinon elle n'est pas faite pour ce métier...

Unsere Nichte und ich bestellten Fischfilets mit Gemüse und Kartoffeln, mein Mann ein Thontartar mit Toast. Besser hätten beide Menus nicht sein können. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Cinq personnes, tous des plats différents, joliment présentés, et fort bons. Service chaleureux et attentionné. Seuls les desserts nous ont un peu déçus. Pour un restaurant de village c'est assez cher, mais grâce au système "Fourchette" un gros rabais est fait, même sur les plats qui au départ n'en faisaient pas partie, donc merci à eux pour leur gentillesse ! J'y reviendrai en été, pour "essayer" la terrasse qui a l'air bien sympa.

Caché au coeur du nord vaudois, le bras d'or est une Perle ! Un service agréable et de qualité. Une nourriture digne des grandes tables: original, nouveau, bon et servi en quantité suffisantes. Le tout à un prix tout à fait correcte ! Je recommande vivement cet établissement, dans lequel je ne manquerai pas de retourner avec mes amis !
