A bit expensive but everything else was great. I felt very comfortable 😊

This sunny morning at 10:45 a.m., my 12-year-old daughter and I stop to take a beautiful photo of the lake next to the cabin. We place our bikes against the wall. The terrace is empty. Madame Mam's literally attacks us and another family (with 2 young children) because we are not allowed to leave our bikes there...even though it is a public place! Very unpleasant person. Nice place to FLEE unfortunately 🤬🤬🤬

Pretty place, full of history, with magnificent trees and a splendid view of the lake.

Very cute little lake side kiosk with some home made and delicious specialties. Salty & sweets available. I love the ginger & kurkuma drink. A few tables and sun chairs, including sun hat for protection.

Very nice place for a break by the lake, which contrasts with deplorable service bordering on disrespect (bitter lady), deplorable quality of cuisine (croque-monsieurs which were not, and burned), a Abnormal waiting times and excessive prices. Go your way to keep your good mood

The place requires a stop, but be careful where you dare to put your bikes or where you dare to wander because you could arouse the fury of the manager of this cabin. She will not hesitate to insult you, shout at you or even throw buckets of water at you in front of her customers. A place to avoid urgently if you don't want to be cursed.

Very nice location... until SHE comes out from her "cabana" and in very aggressive way starts forcing HER OWN RULES for all that area, which is the municipal area in general. We could be her potential clients, but it's her lost... This woman has no knowledge about customer service and respect to other people (who did not purchase anything from her cafe, but staying there for a swim)... Or at least there is should be signes like : "do not place velo's", "private area of Le Cabanon de Mam's", "no BBQ during the opening hours of the cafe"... Shame!

At Mam's Cabanon, enchanting landscape, The service is a shipwreck, a source of misfortune. Mam's, embittered old lady with flowing white hair, Bullies passers-by, forgetting his caring customers. She defends her patch of grass with fury, Rejecting vacationers, sowing resentment. In this place in Lake Geneva, a dark atmosphere reigns, Le Cabanon de Mam's, where hospitality is a shadow.

We wanted to have a coffee on our bike tour, I dared to look into the hut from the outside because unfortunately I don't speak French and couldn't read the signs. Just wanted to see if there was a coffee maker. I was on the “lawn” with my bike. The lady of the hut really chased me “from the farm”. Apparently I would have had to park the bike on the path. Customer service is different. In Switzerland you probably don't need any more customers.

The area is certainly very nice. I wouldn't say the same about the rest. Excessive price for very poor quality. The worst is the employee, aggressive, thinks she's the queen of the place. Even if you are just passing by on foot you are not safe from this cantankerous woman who attacks you. This good woman is almost crazy. Conclusion . To flee took everything. Continue towards Chillon Castle where at least the welcome is pleasant and the area is just as nice.

Awful quality! Cake i bought was old and stiff inside and outside. I could not eat it. So disgusting. Selling lady said it is because it’s cold outside, but c’mon it tastes like old. She heated it up, which obviously didn’t help. Don’t recommend.

Quite nice, but on the other hand are the prices in French francs? 7 balls per muffin is still easily double what is done and should be done.

The place is magical! The breathtaking view! This could be a gold mine of well-being! Unfortunately an employee attacked the neighboring table furiously and in an insulting manner, in an extremely unpleasant and aggressive manner without valid justification! Feeling very uncomfortable and not being accustomed to experiencing this type of behavior, I was very bothered by this and I am not talking about the children stunned by this behavior! Homemade drinks to be reworked so that the service complies with the prices. The facilities are neat and attractive, it's a shame everything is there except the appropriate behavior for a peaceful welcome

We were walking from our hotel towards the nearby castle when we came across this place accidentally. Unfortunately credit cards are not accepted but the lady serving us insisted to offer us a drink of our choice.

View is amazing the lady was very nice and kind, but the food test old , my husband and I couldn’t finish anything of what we bought. We ordered hot chocolate and cake and croissant.

It was a very nice location until SHE came. She yells at everyone, walks around bossing "her" territory ( there are communal picnic tables where are you allowed freely sit but she doesn't let if you dont buy something at her cabanon). We were kicked out of our spot very rudely just because she decided to give it to her friend. i was sprayed with a hose. there is always something around her to the point where we started avoiding this place to do not get berated.

We stopped on our way along the lake, just to take a break: beautiful setting but rude owner in the conversion of Swiss francs into euros. Excessive price, and rhubarb juice drink made essentially of water and sugar...it's excessive. A rather bitter break. I don't recommend stopping there.

The lady who works in the shed is super aggressive. The municipality should change this person given all the bad experiences recorded over the last few months.

Racist insults to our family from the lady who manages this shed. She also attacked us by throwing a bucket of water at us and wanted to raise her hand against one of our family members. It is incomprehensible what is happening in this place.

We were attacked by this tenant of an old shed because we were having a barbecue in the place provided for this purpose. They threw water on us and called us dirty foreigners. We have collected testimonies, this person is abominable and will have to justify himself to the competent authorities.

An owner who attacks her customers if they park their bike at the edge of the lake. it doesn't have a bike rack to secure it so don't stop there! Very expensive price!

We loved this place, good prices and the best view in the town.

Pretty oasis, on the course on the edge of Lake Montreux-Villeneuve, magnificent setting, and very well received.

The elderly lady who works in the snack bar is very aggressive and unpleasant with customers, she accused us of having broken her chairs... Which are on the lawn and half smashed. You really have to learn to talk to people and with respect! This is unacceptable behavior, especially from an elderly person! What a shame !

Cute place where you can buy coffee or an ice cream. This ring is important, from where you can see Chillon Castle. What is intended for this. But the prices are a bit expensive.

Nice snack with incredible view of the Chillon castles but terrible staff! Unpleasant as possible with the elderly people in front of me who came to ask for coffee and cake. Makes questionable jokes about giving change. I got yelled at because I asked for two ice creams (on the ice cream menu) which were not available... Well yes, sorry! We should apologize for being customers obviously! Extremely expensive snack... too much to be angry about spending money there!

Owner in a very aggressive and impolite manner wanted to prevent me to go through a public lawn nearby to a public bench with my bicycle. Arguments were just insane - “are you going to your living room with your bicycle”, “why are you messing around with me”, etc. Strongly recommend to avoid this place. P.S. By the way, there is plenty of public area to enjoy the scenery.

I was having a very pleasant bike trip and wanted to give a break thinking that it is a nice location. I was sitting on one of the two wooden chairs with a small table in between, enjoying the sun... Then she came and made me leave my chair saying that it is for two people and I cannot sit there. She ruined my vibe, I would NOT RECOMMEND that place to anyone. She should change her attitude towards the customers. Was all that fuzziness about having one more paying customer ?!

Beautiful view. Unfriendly service. Sat on my lounge chair with my drink from the kiosk in the shade. Then a couple came and she told me I had to move from my seat so the couple could sit there. All chairs were free. No reservation necessary on site.

We stopped here on our return walk from chateau Chillon to Montreux. Antonieta is such a welcoming, charming person, which is matched by her stunning cafe withhin it's perfect setting. Drinks were served perfectly with some crystallised ginger which was perfect also. Do not miss this if you're in the area!

Stunning location. We stopped here for a bite to eat after visiting the Chateau De Chillon. The food was okay, we had ham croissants. The bread was fresh but the carrots and cabbage inside were a bit brown and dry. But it was still tasty. An unbeatable picnic location.

Terrible behavior of the owner that will be addressed with the community of veytaux. The owner unfortunately is not stable and attacked my children for parking their bikes on the grass . There was a dhl truck in front of the shop ( which surprised me as I have never seen cars in the area before) . When I addressed that the children( ages 8 and 10) and i thought it would be safer to wait for the truck to leave first, she went off on a rude and verbose attack . When I told her that there are children and addressed the fact that this is a public space she has no right to dictate where we place our bikes , she went on a further attack with racial as well as verbal insults . I told her that we should contact the police She refused to do so. However my kids were distraught at this stage and the woman as the other reviewer has said lacks any empathy or respect for tourists or clients . Commune veytaux should look at her practices let’s alone she does not provide any payment receipts either which is not correct or proper. I also suspect others have complained about her as she assumes that she can control the public area around her establishment which of course she cannot and this will be addressed . In No way can ANYONE accept that behavior no matter of age or identity . Respect for the individual is important and I will ensure that this will be addressed in the right and legal way.

Quiet and very charming place, welcoming and simple owners. Vegetarian food

My husband and I were enjoying a lovely walk and stopped off at the cafe to have an ice cream. The lady had provided very flimsy ‘wooden’ deck chairs. When my husband sat down, the chair broke and he injured his back. When we informed the lady, she asked him how much does he weigh and informed us she had only purchased them the day before. Then requested us numerous times to pay for the broken chair! It’s rather an odd attitude as my husband is very slim therefore it can only be put down to a faulty chair of very poor quality. Not once did she apologise or show empathy. May I suggest you buy chairs to suit all your customers ‘weights’ and of better quality.
