Very beautiful place with superb view, quiet, very competent staff Organic and local food

How disappointing, I've followed this restaurant for over a year and couldn't wait to celebrate a social occasion here. We chose 2 wines off the menu, neither of which were available, and finally got a replacement recommended by the waiter, at a hefty price. The amuse bouche was cabbage salad with no dressing or seasoning. The salad entrées were not seasoned and nothing especially tasty. We ordered 3 faux filets and a tagliatta (the waiter corrected my correct Italian pronunciation 🙄). All of our steaks were sinewy and we had to ask for a steak knife to cut it. Our desserts were ok and were offered a a nice gesture. All in all, it was not worth the money or the distance we travelled to get there.

Excellent meal in a friendly atmosphere.

We tested this restaurant on Valentine's Day evening where a unique menu was offered. The dishes were all well made and good. The service team was apparently short-staffed that evening and despite this, they were pleasant and the service was good. They did the best they could. The setting of the place is very pretty. We enjoyed the evening and the dishes.

Great discovery The site is magnificent... The young chef Christophe Pach is in charge of the kitchen and it is simply wonderful. It is rare to meet a chef who has such mastery of seasoning and cooking... Everything comes together: creativity, flavor, presentation.... The service run by Amandine, the chef's companion, is not to be outdone. Attentive and attentive, she manages a passionate and efficient team. A big BRAVO Definitely the village of Crissier is a gastronomic stopover not to be missed.

Everything was awesome. Decent sizes (the main on picture was served twice) and the presentation on set. Service was great and atmosphere gorgeous in this old fashion house.

Original cuisine in a pretty setting

Great, attentive service - including free french lessons ;-) We dined here for our 20th anniversary and were not disappointed. The food is fantastic, but the stand outs for me were the veal cutlet and jus, and the apple and fig tarte tatin with little meringue shards and flaked almonds - amazing!

- too expensive - mediocre tartare, chopped by machine, not spicy, served without toast - beautiful frame - minimal service - quality products

Very pleasant terrace in the middle of the greenery good cuisine with homemade labels good service too bad nice wine list but a little expensive. Too bad to offer a pork filet mignon menu and change 50 minutes later for a good but sad roasting sausage.

Magnificent culinary discovery in the heights of Crissier, in the countryside (we really didn't feel like we were 5 minutes from the industrial zone of Crissier). Magical, restful and relaxing setting. Magnificent view of Lake Geneva with green landscapes around you. We loved the sea bass fillet, I recommend it with my eyes closed! The servers are very friendly, we were served very well. However, I do not give 5 stars on the Service, because the waiting times to receive the main course, then to receive the dessert were long, allow enough time if you go there at midday. Overall we are very satisfied with our experience at Castel de Bois Genoud.

Beautiful place in the countryside, far from everything and very quiet!

I loved the melon velouté and the rhubarb ice cream! The Burrata was also very good. The surprise beef was also very good! However, the surprise beef and the beef fillet lacked salt… but the sauce was excellent (surprise). The cheeses for dessert were also tasty. As for the service and the setting, both were really perfect. Except for the fact that we waited more than 15/20 minutes between the starter and the main course, not enough lighting on the table…

Very fine meal, neat setting on the terrace BUT very unpleasant noise from the staff walking in the gravel, especially for people who are not very light.

We stopped there for a snack/dessert: the ice creams (delicious) were served simply in a bowl, without bricelets for 9.— 2 scoops, and the raspberry (9.—) was in fact a strawberry: 3 cut strawberries in half, the rest just cream! Blah blah… we expected better from a place like this. So disappointed! Otherwise, beautiful place!

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of Ferme de Bois Genoud in Crissier next to Lausanne. Beautiful terrace, high quality food and decent prices. Definitely recommended.

Very pleasant terrace. Perfect fish, entrecôte with ordinary morels, delicious garnish. Reservation recommended.

For AS Ascenseurs' 25th anniversary, the company invited 150 guests (customers) to celebrate their anniversary in the Castel de Bois-Genoud restaurant. It was a magnificent moment. On the large terrace, we had the pleasure of tasting good wines and discovering several appetizing and tasty dishes. The atmosphere was pleasant and friendly. A big thank you to AS Ascenseurs for this moment of sharing and to the restaurant staff for the service.

Magnificent terrace in the middle of welcoming nature. We had a great time as a family. Lunch was good, made with fresh produce, the birthday cake a little too much “rich” but very good too. Pleasant and smiling staff. Small minus: a lot of waiting between dishes…

We probably got it wrong. Mother's Day meal a little disappointing. Excellent starter but failed main meal, meat combined with sauce made the texture mushy and had an unpleasant taste on the palate. Long wait between starter and main course (45 min.). Despite having booked 4 months in advance, placed in a reception room where the constant coming and going of customers and waiters was annoying. However, we salute the efforts of our server who did everything to alleviate our disappointment, thank you to him. However, I would not return to this establishment.

First experience and evening at Castel Bois Genoud following a gift voucher received for our wedding. The place is very well decorated with a small store at the entrance to the restaurant with local products. Unfortunately we didn't really like the reception. We had a reservation at 6:30 p.m., and we arrived in the restaurant lobby around 6:25 p.m. We found it surprising to find the servers around a table laughing loudly and without worrying about the arrival of the 6:30 p.m. reservations. Arriving at the table, a delicious beetroot mousse appetizer, then we had a chestnut soup which was delicious. The meal was divinely good, very colorful and all accompanied by a basket filled with bread (delicious) and a good glass of rosé. Dessert, whether it was the candied orange chocolate mousse or the brown meringue and cinnamon ice cream plate, were delicious. We enjoyed it very much

Dishes served delicious and very pretty. Although we were in a not very large dining room, Max 20p, a lot of resonance and the result was a very noisy atmosphere. The chef's vegetarian offering is very good but the quantity is small, you really need to plan a starter with more than a simple salad so as not to leave the table hungry. The service is very good. The final price is quite high.

A must-see address! The dishes are delicious, tasty, prepared with care and with a magnificent presentation. The fact that the food used is partly produced on site and organic is the icing on the cake! The waiters and waitresses are impeccable, warm and very professional. Updated - the restaurant has clarified that there are several veg starters and 2 main veg dishes :) Beautiful ambiance specially for evenings. It is set in an old mansion on the middle of a farm. Magical in summer eves ! Taking a star away for two reasons 1. Limited vegetarian options 2. Not very accessible via public transport so you will need a car to get to this place.

Interesting for the place which deserves a 5, the menu is very limited, amused mouth left far too long out of the fridge and dry, tartare blackened on top, prepared too long in advance, fillet of beef... barely 120 g for more than Fr 50.- Service for one of the top girls, the rest expeditious and without quality. In the end too expensive for the quality of the food and the service... expensive for the view and the park... Too bad, 3 business leaders who will never come back!

We spent our company meal in this establishment, at the entrance the setting is magnificent, but things quickly deteriorated... the service was quickly overwhelmed! Some of our colleagues didn't even have meat at the buffet. We asked the waiters what meat it was? We don't know the answer! Very disappointed, the meal did not live up to the standard that this restaurant wants to give itself! Very bad advertising for a company meal, I would not repeat the experience!

Very luxurious establishment but extremely lacking in choice. There were roughly 4 choices when I went (not including the 2 children's options). I know this is a kind of gourmet place but the options were quite bizarre and the only drinks you can have are water or wine. Overpriced for what they offer and the service is overbearing.

Excellent address! Cozy atmosphere, elegant decoration, efficient, discreet and very friendly service. The succulent meal spoiled our taste buds and pupils. The food and wine pairing suggested by the waiter allowed us to discover good local wines. To try again during the day with the view of the lake.

Magnificent setting, superb terrace. We had reserved for 1 p.m., when we arrived, there was no free table. Similar experience for another couple who arrived just before us. We pass in front of us three times without a glance meeting ours. After waiting 20 minutes on armchairs, a table is set up. Fairly slow service, not always attentive coupled with some "unlikely" remarks from the waiters. Nothing too bad, it rather made us smile with the couple next door who were experiencing something a little similar and had just been served a beef burger instead of a vegetarian burger. On the other hand, the food was very good, tasty, it must be emphasized. So in the end still 4 stars because we perhaps arrived at a stressful time for the staff. Maybe next time everything will be fine. As an aside, we would like to mention that we loved the many vegetarian options and the diversity of the menu under previous management, even though we are not vegetarians ourselves. From this point of view, we were left somewhat unsatisfied, especially since the vegetarian dish of the day was sold out. A restaurant that offers organic and local food is a very interesting line and we praise this choice. Atmosphere… - aperitif: a few flutes and olives chasing each other, if you want more you have to pay a second package. - main course: barely cooked monkfish, clearly too salty, served with unsalted sweetbreads. All covered in a flavorless green-black coulis (squid ink?). Not a vegetable, not a small leaf of salad to accompany. Presentation could not be more rudimentary, but above all the food is barely edible. My 97-year-old grandmother, who had seen others, also failed to finish her tiny portion. Of the dozen people who inherited monkfish, none liked it. Many people basically said “how is it even possible to serve something like this?”. I spoke to the waiter who kindly offered me a piece of meat as a replacement, which I ultimately shared with several other guests still recovering from their monkfish and left hungry. - entry: not good, in everyone's opinion. - service: I only had to deal with S., new to the team, friendly and empathetic with us. He saw that there was a problem. But some diners described to me another server as “borderline,” in a bad mood and making the hosts feel it. - everything (starter, main course, dessert, without drinks) for CHF 75.-. LOVELY staff. If the exterior is really nice with this beautiful terrace, the interior is meh. Noisy . 2 groups in the same room?! Not cool, when there was definitely room. Correct daily menu. I have not experienced any generosity except that of the staff.

Welcoming and warm staff, original and delicious organic cuisine, a green landscape just a few minutes from Lausanne... We were enchanted by Le Castel! Whether you are vegetarian or omnivorous, you will find what you are looking for.

Despite what I thought, I went back to have something to drink. I hope the waiter who prepared my Virgin Mojito had washed his hands BEFORE PUTTING THE ICE CUBES IN WITH THEIR FINGERS. This time it's good, I understood. Very pretty setting, the place seems timeless due to its off-centering among other things. Unfortunately the setting is not everything, staff very friendly overall but a little awkward, long waits to die of boredom, even between courses. Interesting menus, good food but without research, bland dishes not very good, it's a little heavy artillery. The meal is not worth the asking price and the wines are overpriced for the quality offered. I won't try again.

We went yesterday lunchtime with work colleagues to share a meal on the terrace. The quality is there, the setting is great, the team is very welcoming. I made a comment 2 months ago regarding the low quantity on the plates, but this has been corrected. I will happily come back with my family.

We returned in August 21. Same qualities (cuisine), same reviews (service). Aperitif, appetizer, starter and red wine served in 10 minutes. Excellent cuisine in a magnificent setting. On the other hand, the service is a little chaotic, but friendly. Okay, you have to learn! I recommend this restaurant.

Best beef tartar I've ever had!

Not liked. Found this cuisine tasteless with too much food just boiled in water. Establishment with an eco-friendly tendency which is not necessarily to everyone's taste. Staff not unfriendly but not very helpful, menu not very varied, a little faltering especially in winter. Prefer a real gastronomic evening, either a good old communal inn or even a pizzeria or Chinese restaurant for a good meal
