Le Cèdre in Zürich

I would actually like to give it 5* stars. The food is very good but the service is so-so. The greeting was rather cold. But the place where we sat was even cooler. Somehow I must have been sitting directly under the ventilation. In any case, I was so cold that I had to eat in my down jacket and scarf. I communicated my discomfort to the service person and she said; yes, that's right, I also notice that it's dragging here. But that was all and the issue was settled for you. No regrets or possibly the offer for another table. Hospitality? We then left the restaurant pretty quickly. It's a shame, this impression leaves a bad taste!

Do try Shishtawouk and Oriental Rice, so yummy and enough for 2 people.

I actually like going to Le Cedre, but we were charged CHF10.50 for a liter of pomegranate juice. And that twice. It's really unbelievable, even for Zurich prices it's a trinity. When we mentioned this with the bill, the waitress simply didn't understand us (little knowledge of German). Impudence!

The food was great, but a tad expensive. The service has also been really good. We went on a Friday evening, we reserved in the late afternoon. We got two mains, one side and 3 Metze and it was definitely too much food (we brought some home). Highly recommended!

We ordered takeaway from here. At home I took a bite of kafta and realized that I am chewing not only meat, but a long hair too. Absolutely revolting. The restaurant didn't answer the email my husband wrote. Very sad, we had been happy with the food for several years. Goodbye.

A restaurant with very authentic Lebanese cuisine and a menu limited to very few dishes. A big plus for this, because they focus on the quality of the dishes prepared. The mezze plates, which can be ordered for 2, 3 or more people, are delicious. The main courses are also super good and prepared with fresh ingredients. The restaurant is quite spacious and has a good number of tables. Despite the large crowds on a Saturday, we got a table for 4 people without a reservation. The service is very friendly and efficient. The only negative was unfortunately dirty cutlery in one set and an unwashed glass. Such defects should not happen in a restaurant in the center of Zurich on one of the most expensive streets in Europe.

The food was delicious but the portions for 4 people were very small. We ordered meze and did not even get Fattouche. The waitress was not having a good day apparently as she was cold and unfriendly. There are many areas to improve to raise this place to higher standards. The red wine was also terrible. Prices were acceptable. Won’t be coming back when we crave Lebanese food.

Booked a table, it was half empty. walked in and waited 10 minutes for someone to even come over to us to sit us down. The guy just nodded his head in a general direction and we sat ourselves down. No menu given, no drinks menu given. Waited over 20 minutes whilst it was empty, completely ignored by staff. Manager was walking around chatting to tables, meanwhile we didn't even have water and there is definetely no air conditioning. Me and my partner had to get up and leave in the end without even a menu

This is an astonishing place featuring Lebanese cuisine. It is hard to find another place that would be as diverse in terms of dish quantity and as good in terms of dish quality. I personally lived everything. Humus, falafels, baba ghanoush, samosas, pakhlava, to name but a few. Everything was fresh, well cooked and in numbers. I have been here many times and surely shall come again.

Very good..delicious..so nice...but there are a lot of people, you have to make a reservation...no pictures, I forget to take pictures every time I get hungry, I eat them all before taking pictures every time...anyone who is Thai..want to meet ..Come on Saturday...sitting inside, it's very nice...2 people and my girlfriend..you can say hello...mango pudding dessert..right..

Possibly the best Lebanese restaurant in Zurich/Switzerland! The service from the entire team is excellent and Ricardo is always courteous and fulfills every wish of his customers.

Went in for lunch at 220 pm. The hours on the door and google say open till 3pm. The owner refused to seat us saying that kitchen is closed. If the kitchen closes at 215 pm then that should be reflected everywhere. Misleading at best. The worst part is when I pointed this out, the owner was argumentative and combative.

Must try the fattouch salad, hummus, hummus beyruti, fatah hummus , and their grills are divine, especially the kofta it was just some of the best I ever had anywhere in the world.

Very fine and authentic Lebanese food. We had mezze, which was served after less than 10 minutes. Service was very friendly. Price a bit high - but definitely worth it.

The best Lebanese restaurant i town.

Food is delicious, fresh, prepared and served very nice. Prices are even reasonable. The restaurant itself is plain and nice, nothing out of the ordinary, but cosey. The one person staff was overworked, unfriendly and unattentive, and therefore we had to wait 45 mins to get the bill after he cleaned the tables, trying multiple times to get his attention where he jiust ignored us. He didn't even offer us coffee which we would have liked to order too. Granted it was busy, but the last half hour the place was 30% full and we were still being ignored as he always managed to look away the moment we tried to catch his attention. Had to walk to the counter to force him to react to being allowed to pay, and he was rude to me when I politely mentioned my disappointment with his lack of attention. I don't think I will be back.

One of my favorite places for lunch in Zurich city center, just off Bahnhofstrasse. I usually go for the vegetarian mezze plate, great selection and good price.

Great Lebanese food in downtown Zurich. The lunch menu is quite small but you can actually ask to see a full menu which they don't present by default. This one has a very wide variety of dishes. From the lunch menu, the chicken version of the shawarma was undoubtedly the better option, it also comes with a single falafel which is nice and crunchy and a salad. From the full menu, the shish taouk was particularly flavorful and another highlight. Although probably best to reserve, I never had an issue finding a spot on multiple occasions despite the room being on the smaller side. Wait staff is friendly but seems to be a little streched over the rush hours which was the only slight negative.

The newest of the three Le Cèdre locations in Zürich serves the same food as the others but in a more modern ambience. This restaurant has a modern middle eastern decor. The most recommended dish is the sampler platter, either vegetarian or with meat.

Delicious and plentiful food; this is one of our favorite places.

We had Mezzeh for 5 and it was very good and a decent amount of food, we all left satisfied. We had a reservation and after 1 hour and 15 mins, when we finished eating but still had drinks on the table, the staff asked us to leave because there was a queue. I’m used for reservations to be for at least 2 hours even at very in-demand restaurants, but maybe this is how it is in Zurich, so I still gave it 5 stars even if I thought that was rushed and a bit rude.

Food is truly amazing and a really fair price

I visited Le Cèdre with a colleague for a lunch. Unfortunately they only have 1 vegan option in the whole menu so I didn’t really have much choice. However, that 1 option (Falafel Menu) was good to be fair which is why I gave this place 2 stars. On the other hand, I didn’t like that the menu is only in German even though the restaurant is in the heart of Zurich, and the staff didn’t really speak English which is not good enough. The customer service was so so. Not very friendly or attentive (for example, they forgot what we wanted to drink and had to come back to ask again), and tables are way too close to each other so you effectively end up dining with strangers. I may perhaps give it another chance in the future but there are surely better restaurants in Zurich.
