I highly recommend this restaurant in Chandolin. Whether you eat pizza, pasta, raclette or fondue, everything is excellent. You will be welcomed in a modern setting by caring, friendly and attentive staff. My top choice: the DIABLONS 3609M pizza (a delight!) and the raclette evening on Wednesday. Hello to the whole team and its manager. We will come back !

I regularly come to this restaurant, which for me has become a reference in Chandolin. Coming from the world of cooking, I must recognize that the choice of a “simple” and ALL-HOME kitchen works wonderfully because of its careful and generous execution. Sublimated by its truly friendly and professional team in the face of the difficulty of this profession as well as the high season. I can even come and have dinner with my dog, which is no longer possible everywhere. So I really highly recommend it!

We arrived with 2 young children at 8 p.m., after a very long journey, to the welcoming village that the family has been visiting for 40 years - Chandolin. We went to the Chalet, a restaurant that we visited in a very large group last summer, where the experience was very pleasant, both in terms of service and meals. This time, we had to wait a long time standing before someone was polite enough to welcome us. We ended up being welcomed and asked for a table for 4. The immediate response was that without a reservation it was impossible, everything was full. Before our eyes was erected a superb and enormous counter, empty. When we ask if we can sit at the counter, the waiter tells us that they don't serve food at the counter. Following this, we ask if we can take something to take away, since after such a long trip and with the children, we just wanted to eat something. The waiter dared to tell us that “there wouldn’t be any left for the others” if he served us food! Such a far-fetched excuse is an attack on a client’s intellectual integrity. Selling us 3 meals would have put the restaurant out of stock?!? Demeaning ourselves even more, with supplication, we insist if we can take anything. The waiter asks us to wait since he has to check in the kitchen if the chef agrees to make us 3 pizzas to take away (they normally practice this business method). He came back, sorry that he couldn't sell us these pizzas because there were a lot of pizza orders. We didn’t actually have a reservation, but we were also so visibly vulnerable and “open to anything” that, even if we had had to wait half an hour to get pizzas to go, we would have done it. It’s deplorable to be welcomed like this. Especially in the low season the attitude was completely different. Soul and hospitality, especially in the catering sector, are the ingredients of success. Clearly the establishment completely lacks a sense of service.

A great restaurant with very welcoming, smiling and attentive servers. Having taken a cheese crust, I advise you not to take a starter if you are not a very big eater because unfortunately I was not able to finish it but what a treat! Very reasonable price, a restaurant in the resort and a varied menu with lots of regional products! Well done and I hope to see you next time!

Very nice & smiley staff.. we ordered fondue anniviarde, it was very good & the meat was nicely marinated & fresh.. what is important is that the ventilation system is great (for once my hair & clothes didn’t smell like food 😊).. definitely recommended & will always come back.

Meal ok. Impeccable service. But...They accept a table of 10 with children. And yes, children make noise and wander around. The cook allows himself remarks like: “in my time, 3 slaps and punished”? Either you accept children or not. In any case, we don't talk to customers like that. We won't come back again.

Really cosy restaurant. The service was really good, all the stuff was super friendly. The food was delicious, everything was well cooked and the mix of flavours were perfect. I don’t know why people rate this place a bit lower, as it is one of the best restaurants in the valley.

Pretty decorations, warm wooden and subdued space (in the evening). Great service and with a smile. The hunting was good and the choice of wine by the glass was interesting. We particularly liked the rillettes and the vinegar that accompanied it. Very good 👍🏻

The food is delicious, but that's to be expected at these prices. French fries could be better. Full house and only 1 person on duty. Raclette á discretion was a disaster. Took way too long and small portions. We'd rather pay more and eat next door in the boutique hotel.

Nous avons manger en familles . C’est déjà la deuxième fois que l’on y mange . Très bien reçu équipe très très sympa . Par contre la carte des menus est réduite ( Covid ) , et malheureusement vous allez devoir refermer . Nous sommes tristes et désolé pour vous .( par contre quand vous faites des plus petite carte , j’ai un enfant qui ne mange pas de fromage , et beaucoup de plat était avec du fromage . Donc si pouviez juste peut-être ajouter , un spaghetti bolognaise , et éventuellement un burger. Ça serait top. Quel dommage ! Nous voilà contraint de modifier nos habitudes estivales. Au lieu des belles plages du Sud, c’est la beauté des Alpes et de ses villages typiques qui nous appellent! Quelle surprise de voir le restaurant le Chalet fermé lors de cet été 2020 destiné à être majoritairement helvétique! La simplicité des plats proposés par le Chalet ne peut clairement pas être remplacée par les plats raffinés (et plus chers!) du restaurant Boutique attenant! A méditer ?

Le Chalet which isn't a chalet. Closed until December 2020 - hopefully when they re-open it will be more geared to locals, with more reasonable pricing.

Je me suis arrêté par hasard dans ce restaurant qui est à tout point de vue agréable. Le personnel est également sympathique.Pour 30 francs je m'attendais à quelque chose d'extraordinaire.Je dois reconnaître qu'elle était confectionnée avec des produits de très bonne qualité et savoureuse.Toutefois pour le prix je m'attendais à une grande pizza alors que j'ai reçu ce que j'appellerais une petite pizza garnie seulement au milieu.

Ce restaurant veut faire "classe" dans un endroit qui ne l'est pas, Chandolin est plutôt familial.Pizzas excellentes, bonne bière pression. Belle salade composées.Mais les prix sont exorbitants, Frs. 5.80 le verre de Dôle...Frs. 38 ou 39 la planche de viande séchée.Vu les prix ce n'est pas un endroit familial de niveau moyen à bas.Dommage car il n'y a rien d'autre dans le haut du village.

Service au top, équipe souriante et chaleureuse, on se sent bien accueilli. La porte donnant sur l’extérieur reste ouverte pour faciliter le service. C’est compréhensible, mais il faisait donc très froid à l’intérieur à notre goût. Le patron a proposé de refaire une portion de spaghetti, car la première n’était vraiment pas assez cuite. Les prix sont un peu élevés à notre goût. Produits de qualité servis sur les planchettes.

Service désastreux, cuisine qui laisse à désirer. Les serveurs soupirent, ne se souviennent pas de votre commande, j’ai attendu mon plat pendant une heure car ils l’avaient « oublié ». Les serveurs ont l’air débordés alors qu’ils sont suffisamment pour assurer le service. On demande donc une louche pour la fondu au pizzaiolo qui ne nous répond même pas et nous fait signe qu’il a les mains dans la farine. Il n’appelle pas ses collègues pour répondre à notre demande. Clairement, on dérange tout le monde dans ce restaurant! Beau cadre, les prix en conséquence mais la nourriture n’est vraiment pas à la hauteur! Même pas un valaisan au service! Honteux! Une jeune femme blonde française est venu compléter le service et nous servir les cafés. Elle était très aimable et compétente mais c’était bien la seule...

Peu de choix à la carte 4 choix de pâtes : arabiata, tomate, carbonara, bolognaise. Et malheureusement pas exceptionnelles.... Quelques pizzas qui ne sont pas bonnes. Ils rajoutent des ingrédients sur la pizza alors qu’ils sont pas mentionnés sur la carte. Nous voulions prendre une pizza au Nutella à se partager à la fin du repas, la réponse du serveur : ah non c’est pas possible, le cuisinier est déjà parti. Super...On y reviendra plus.

On s'est réjouit de la première raclette de la saison. Très bien servie, et absolument superbe, on a pu se régaler au milieu d'un super joli décor. Nos serveurs ont été très gentils et disponibles.

Gut, die Auswahl in Chandolin ist ja nicht riesig ;-), aber Le Chalet ist wirklich gut. Man kann auch Take-away-Pizzas ordern, muss aber selber abholen.

Impossible d'obtenir un café sur la terrasse par un temps magnifique. Il y avait 3 tables occupées et on nous a répondu qu'ils étaient trop occupés pour servir juste à boire... à fuir.

Ma première visite au Chalet était cet hiver. L’accueil était bof. Mais j’ai mangé une pizza et elle était bonne. Mes amis on prit une fondue pour deux (un enfant de 6 ans et son père) et nous avons dû recommander tellement la qualité était minime. Vers 22h, on nous amène l’addition alors que nous n’avons rien demandé. Nous n’avions même pas pu commander de dessert car apparement le resto ferme à 22h, c’est une blague? Hé bah non! J’ai donc voulu laisser une deuxième chance à cet endroit qui est quand même très joli, j’aurai pas du. J’ai donc décidé d’amener deux amies. Sans mentir on a attendu 1h nous plat, mes amies avait 3 pâtes qui se couraient après dans leurs assiettes et moi j’avais des pâtes aux palourdes, les pâtes d’un côté, les palourdes de l’autres. Les pâtes n’avaient aucune sauce, j’ai même faillit m’étrangler à cause de la sécheresse!! Bref du grand n’importe quoi!!!! Après il y avait un problème dans l’addition. Sinon le service ça va mais bon entendre lés serveuses qui se plaignent je m’en passe.

Après une belle balade à l'Ilhorn, nous nous sommes arrêtés à votre restaurant pour "croquer une morse". Il était 14h...et impossible d'obtenir une collation (sandwich, tranche de tarte ou autres). L'accueil a été à la hauteur de ce manquement...circulez il n'y a rien à manger! Par chance l'épicerie d'en face était ouverte. Nous comprenons que vous avez des heures de cuisine...mais svpl. soignez votre clientèle si vous avez envie qu'elle revienne. Un morceau de tarte ou un sandwich...c'est facile de les préparer sans avoir un chef de cuisine. A bon entendeur...

Ging am 1. August Straße, Schweizer Nationalfeiertag - das Restaurant bot Buffet nur an diesem Abend. Diesem Restaurant fehlt jede Form von Eigentum / unprofessioneller Service, geschmackloses Essen, ein Buffet voller emotionsloser Kreationen - Aufschnitt, Käse, Servelats - alles, was man in einer Tankstelle finden kann - Grillfleisch war ungeschält, kalt, - keine Saucen, keine Beilagen , kein Geschmack wie auch immer - Creme Brule von einer Qualität, die ich noch nie in meinem Leben gesehen habe - wir verließen 1 Stunde nach unserer Ankunft - viele enttäuschte Kunden an diesem Abend - zahlten 230 CHF für etwas, das keinen einzigen Koch berührte! Nie wieder

J'ai bien aimé le cadre, même si c'est un peu trop huppé pour l'esprit de l'endroit, le service est chaleureux, mais la pizza était malheureusement avec des olives teintes, ce qui fait bas de gamme, hélas...

Accueil au top. Le service est bon. Le rapport qualité-prix peut être légèrement amélioré car les raviolis sont un peu chers comparé à la quantité servie. La pizza bresaola est vraiment très bonne ainsi que les raviolis et les pâtes parfaitement al Dente. Le dessert, le fondant au chocolat, est délicieux. Le design moderne du restaurant est intéressant et très beau, restant chaleureux car bien boisé. Je conseille très fortement ce restaurant si vous passé dans le coin...

Excellent accueil, pizza magnifiquement présentée, la sans gluten est juste trop bonne!!! Grandes portions enfant. Vue superbe! a refaire absolument!

A peine installé on nous demande déjà ce que l’on veut manger même pas eu le temps de consulter la carte ,on débarrasse la table alors que tout le monde n’a pas fini de manger . Nourriture bonne sans plus .

Antipasti super. Pizza sans gluten bonne. Jolie carte italienne et suisse. Jolie carte des vins. Fondue au fromage sans goût. Service une catastrophe les 2 serveuses de l’Europe de l’Ouest ne comprennent pas trop le français la commande à été compliquée a prendre sur leur iPhone. Les 2 jeunes serveurs sont supers mais ne sont pas autorisés à prendre les commande. En dessert on a commandés des tiramisu très bons. Par contre la tarte aux myrtilles de 2 jours on a demandé de la chantilly avec, au bout de 15mn on nous a dit que personne ne savait faire la chantilly. Dommage. Endroit magnifique mais peut mieux faire.......

Nous avons eu grand plaisir à déguster les bruschetta avec des produits très frais et les délicieuses pizzas (super grandes si jamais....). La pate a pizza était vraiment très bonne et croquante à souhait! Le service adorable et la décoration très sympa. Bel endroit chaleureux pour une soirée cool.

Wir haben am ersten Abend im Le Chalet zum Essen reserviert Zur Vorspeise haben wir die Bruschette zum Teilen gewählt. Eine sehr gute Wahl. Anschliessend hatten wir beide eine Pizza. Der Pizzaiolo aus Napoli versteht sein Handwerk perfekt. Sehr zu empfehlen !

Juste à côté de l'hôtel "Chandolin Boutique" le restaurant "le Chalet" propose, paradoxalement, une carte italienne et suisse. L'accueil est standard et le service sans envie ni forcément sympathique, dommage. Je me réjouissais de manger une raclette, nous sommes en Valais, j'aurais mieux fait de me rabattre sur la carte italienne. La raclette est servie en tranche, le fromage (2 sortes) est excellent mais la manière de le faire fondre pas idéale; un réchaud à gaz, souvent trop fort, brule le fromage et l'expérience n'est pas optimale (on m'a changé 6 fois le bruleur !). Mon ami a pris une croûte au fromages et celle-ci n'était pas cuite, il l'a renvoyée et elle revenue correctement cuisinée.Nos voisins de table ont tous mangés italien et ont été ravis ! L'ambiance et la déco est vraiment de toute beauté, dommage que cela ne suive pas en ce qui concerne la carte suisse et le service. A recommander pour la cuisine italienne (à priori)

Nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce lieu pour boire le café avant l'ouverture de la station de ski. Un bistrot tout beau tout neuf, très classe. Un joli cachet dans ce lieu. Beaucoup de bois. La propreté est irréprochable. Le prix est un petit peu onéreux pour un café! Visité dans le mois de février 2019.
