Loyal customers, we were once again amazed by our visit last Friday. Delicious and original starters followed by the legendary sweetbreads. A joy, as always. The only downside would be a room that is a bit too noisy but fits in with the brasserie atmosphere of the place.

By booking with the Geneva plate. They try to negotiate the discount percentage for a Friday and weekend. By not following what is indicated in the book. Supposedly they were wrong about the book. Not at all commercial or correct.

The interior of the store is quite quaint, and I like it. It's not a large store, so it may feel a little cramped. The food was simple, plentiful, and delicious. Although they can speak English, I feel like I would be able to understand the beauty of this restaurant even more if I could converse in French.

What a very friendly little bistro, typically Parisian. We came to eat at midday, arriving before opening while the staff was still eating, we were greeted with a smile and invited to take a seat in a good mood. The dishes are excellent and, with the 50% discount via LaFourchette, the prices are attractive. The beef cheek is excellent, the sea bass fillet is cooked to perfection, in short, no false notes... We will come back with pleasure, we had a great time. Thanks to the whole team !

Comptoir Canaille in Geneva is a charming café, with a typical Parisian café atmosphere. Although space was limited, the welcome was pleasant and efficient. I was impressed with the extensive wine selection and the staff seemed knowledgeable about it. As for the dishes, the restaurant offers a typical selection of good French brasseries. I opted for a meat dish and my guest chose a fish dish. The meat was good quality and cooked to perfection, according to my guest's preferences. The portions were generous, which was nice. However, I was disappointed with the presentation of the dishes. The plates lacked color and seemed bland, which didn't really make you want to eat them. Regarding my fish dish, I encountered a similar problem. The fish was overcooked and had a mushy consistency, which made half the dish inedible for me. Fortunately, the staff quickly apologized and offered to change my dish, which I declined, but I appreciated their responsiveness. Despite this disappointing experience, I am ready to give Comptoir Canaille a second chance. I would like to return to this small institution in Plainpalais in order to confirm or modify my opinion. It's possible that my experience was an isolated incident and that another visit will allow me to experience the highlights of this restaurant.

Cuisine that goes to the essential and doesn't beat around the bush. Here, everything is fresh, good and made with love. I liked the brasserie atmosphere with these slightly boorish waiters who liven up the decor well. Tasty and warm cuisine not for scoundrels.

Bistro style with shaded terrace at the back (no cars but view of buildings), French service. The sea bream tartare had a sauce that I didn't really like. Delicious rosé

We ate at this restaurant for lunch and had a time commitment. The service, in addition to being friendly and efficient, really took our constraints into account. We were on time while eating tasty food.

Good food, noisy atmosphere inside. Correct service except that for our meal we were charged 5chf for each carafe of water (which was not written on the card) and 2 out of 3 were tiny...

One of the best french restaurant in Geneva!

Just perfect. Friendly and fast service, delicious food. We had appetizers as a welcome, a very nice touch. The menu is renewed frequently, it is small but everything is homemade. In addition, not eating meat, they put aside the duck breast present on the artichoke salad as a starter so that I could give it to my mother. The dessert was fabulous, and the rum baba comes with the bottle of rum so you can dose it as you wish. We will come back, thank you again for everything.

I put 1 because I cannot put 0. I reserved 10 days in advance for a birthday meal and my reservation was canceled at the last minute due to overbooking. It's a scandal, when I called to find out the reason for the cancellation, the lady I spoke to on the phone insinuated that as I booked via the fork I was not going to come (even though it was planned for 10 days…) not very professional as an excuse.

Excellent experience, for Madame's 30th birthday. Hidden, discreet, this place is a must for good addresses in Geneva. The cuisine is divine! Ask them if you can take a look in the cat box, it’s worth the detour.

After 2 hours to eat the ordered meal, the waitress told us she wanted the table back, the bill was placed on the table. No possibility of negotiation, although other people had arrived before us. And very unpleasant attitude. Correct food, nothing more.

We had an amazing night at Le Comptoir Canaille. From service to food, everything was simply perfect: the food was of high quality, the portions were good, and the waitresses were one by one super kind. We will definitely come back!

An excellent address. Never disappointed by the dishes. My only downside is the space inside. It is very narrow and there is little space between seats. But we always come back for the welcome and the cuisine.

Reservation for 7 p.m., we received the bill at 9:15 p.m. without asking for it and were asked to pay because we had had more than 2 hours to eat, deemed sufficient by the waitress. We will not return there.

Pathetic and childish boss attitude. When we asked if digestives were offered after a table of 5 starters + main courses + bottles, she started talking to us about the company which always wants to pay as little as possible, and draws a dubious parallel with low-cost airlines. -cost. When the bill arrives the bottles are not at the right price, but she puts the blame on the producer, and does not mention the fact that she herself did not take the trouble to specify this when choosing. It's the fault of the producer, of covid, of the consumer society, of the restaurants which close after a year, in short everyone except her. Amazing attitude, having worked in the restaurant business for a decade I know that if its cuisine was not so good, this establishment would have closed a long time ago. Go your way.

We came here on a quick 48 hour trip to Geneva and everything was AMAZING! The starter, main and dessert was all delicious and every member of staff was so sweet. Really made you feel at home. Full belly and smiley face! 💜

Arriving by chance with The Fork, I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. Very good quality, the terrine as a starter was tasty. Well-cooked duck breast. Choice of wines. The staff is helpful and smiling. We weren't able to try the desserts due to lack of time, but I would happily come back to try the other items on the menu.

Excellent!!! The food was delicious and the service impeccable. The waiter and waitress were lovely, patient and caring. I had the squash crumble, it was very good. The choice of dessert was complicated because they all looked very good. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

Very poor reception and information. Rude manager

At lunchtime we ate a lamb shank with a potato between mashed and mashed potatoes that was scary even to look at. An ordinary beef tagliata without taste or tenderness. Hash browns on the side (which were left there because they don't make you want to eat them). Two glasses of white wine that could have been used to season the salad and then two glasses of Geneva Merlot to use instead to cook a braised beef. Final price 55 chf per person.

Great discovery!! A good bistro with a belle époque atmosphere. It really feels like an old-fashioned Lyonnais cork. The beef cheek burger, what a surprise! On the other hand, the quantities are just limited. Special mention to the squash soup served as an appetizer.
