A delight. We loved everything: from starter to dessert. The food is delicious: congratulations to the cooks. There's that little extra that makes you say: "Italian food is still one of the best in the world". The staff is very warm, efficient, professional. The decor is wintery, with character, authentic and very pleasant. The restaurant is ideally located. In short, our best address in Crans-Montana. We will gladly come back. Long live the restaurant Le Farinet and GRAZIE MILLE! :)

The service is warm and attentive. As for cooking, I think it depends on what you eat. I had the entrecôte and frankly: no point. A small soup as a starter, bland and uninteresting either. Dessert was wonderful (creme brulee). The prices are a little excessive due to the fact that we are in a resort. It wasn't horrible but I'm not going back.

Very good and really very satisfied.

I returned to this restaurant where I had been several times in the past (last time in Montana 3 years ago). I was extremely disappointed and so was my partner. We had the impression that the quality of the products had dropped significantly and the prices had increased. The worst: a cheesecake with a chemical taste, it looked like a supermarket cake. Too bad, I remembered their Taillens desserts. I definitely won't go back

Beautiful old house opposite the Casino transformed into a restaurant, pretty terrace and beautiful outdoor furniture. Very friendly welcome. Pleasant and efficient service. Excellent cuisine. But at 12:30 p.m., there was no longer any menu of the day (unless I'm mistaken at 23 Chf) and we were told this once we had already ordered the aperitif. The à la carte choice at least doubles the price of the planned meal (which nevertheless remains reasonable).

Excellent: the food, the service, the staff, and their sitting area are nice. I highly recommend them, they have a wonderful shrimp risotto, also the ribs.

Very good and top service, they can adapt their starter to make it a main course if you want. A little noisy but not so much that you have to strain your voice. Around 100chf for two with starter and main course

Friendly service, amazing food. Even plain butter pasta that our little one had tasted delicious. :) Seating inside as well as outside. We had lunch here and there were places available. We wanted to come back for dinner next day and it was fully booked so would recommend to book in advance during "busy" times (evenings, weekend).

Nice surprise, the restaurant is very pretty, the welcome is friendly and professional. Beautiful outdoor terrace with a beautiful view. We had the New Year's meal, a little expensive for my taste knowing that at that price I can eat in an 18 at Gault&Millau. But I think it's for the New Year so I'll go back normally to compare.

A disappointment for a restaurant of this pretension. We came as a family two months ago, everything was impeccable. Today the plates were cold. The perch fillets were fried and not meunière in the pan (easy solution, shame for the nobility of the perch), lukewarm, dry, bland. French fries? We don't even talk about them: cold, hard and not good at all. If I had wanted fish and chips, I wouldn't have come to your place. Reflection made to the staff, followed by the visit to the head waiter's table, no alternative proposed to alleviate this disappointment. For me an address to forget.

Very nice place, helpful staff but really a shame, in terms of cuisine, particularly the Italian dishes are really limited. Little choice in pasta, this is surprising. No penne, no spaghetti..and in the sauces apart from tomatoes or eggplant ..In short, too bad, because it’s a nice place..

Not eaten at Le Farinet for many years but thought we'd try it again after a long break. Had a wonderful meal with my family. Lots of old photos of Montana / Le Farinet on the walls which always interests me. Friendly, welcoming and efficient service. Delicious meal. Thoroughly recommended.

Nice restaurant, great service and good food!

Very good pasta and friendly service! Small downside: On my dish (pasta with shellfish ragout sauce) the quantity was a little low and lacked sauce, but it was very good! My partner's dish (pasta with eggplant, etc.) was delicious. Very good quality bread as an accompaniment! We will come back to try other dishes, especially those cooked in the parmesan wheel.

We have been coming back to Crans-Montana every year for 16 years - we know what restaurants are available in the area, but for some reason had never tried Le Farinet, so decided to give it a go and had high hopes given the good reviews. However, we had a very poor experience. The service was extremely slow, it took 20 minutes just to bring us menus (and we had a reservation). I then ordered a dish with the primary ingredient being seitan - and when the food arrived, quickly realized the seitan was missing. I notified the waiter and he said oh, I’ll ask the chef and brought the food back to the kitchen - after which it took 20 minutes for the dish to come back to me with its intended primary ingredient. Meanwhile, the rest of the people I was eating with were waiting to eat their food - and of course 20 minutes later, their food was cold. Mistakes happen, I understand - but the worst part about the experience was the response and attitude to the mistake. No coming to the table while I was waiting for the food to apologize, explain the mistake - and even when the food finally came and we were quite cross with the delay, no real sense of an apology, just very cold and matter of fact. Finally, when we asked one waiter for the bill, we waited 20 minutes only to have another waiter give us the dessert menu - and had to ask for it all over again. Additionally, even though our experience was tainted by the bad service, I can honestly say the food was bland. A few people at our table got the quinoa curry dish and there was little to no hint of curry flavor - and the seitan, when it finally came, felt like it was just thrown in with a watery broth. So overall, although it’s in a great location and has a nice terrace, I wouldn’t recommend Le Farinet - go to one of the other lovely restaurants in Crans-Montana, and you’ll have a better experience.

Strongly not recommended, the service came to tell us that we will have to wait 15 minutes before receiving our dish: as a result an hour later we were still paying attention. When they arrived they had not prepared the right dish and everything was cold. When you pay 45.- for a meat dish you expect a minimum of respect towards customers…

Had a Bolognese. Food was quite okay. But the portion is small. I reported this to the service and gave feedback. Unfortunately, the person in service had a different opinion and assured me that I was wrong - absolutely incapable of criticism. There was also poor communication among the staff. Price-performance rather poor

We wanted to try the brunch at this restaurant, so on the 3rd of July we reserved a table as we always see so many people there and we wanted a table on the terrace. We were not disappointed. The quality of the food was excellent. Fresh and well presented. Lots of fruit and vegetables - marinated in different things. The grilled courgette had a nice mint taste and the melon with lemon. The theme was for this week was “American” (they do lots of themed food so it must never get boring) so I had some pork ribs that melted in the mouth. 5 stars for the friendly staff and their knowledge also. The buffet was well presented, colourful and enticing. I sound like publicity for this restaurant but truely it’s worth going to.

Very pleasantly surprised, I spontaneously had lunch here. Fine tartare and carpaccio, but also good desserts (from Schwanzens next door). Friendly service. Very central location.

We really enjoyed our visit to Farinet. The waitress was very friendly and very funny. The meals were wonderful and the atmosphere was good. We had an excellent evening there and I highly recommend it.

Great Italian restaurant where they offer Parmegiano flamed pasta. You better book to have a table, specially during weekends. Fairly priced and the staff is extremely pleasant and professional.

Italian restaurant (from the Taillens family): the decor is warm-chic, subdued, appropriate, the service is professional (distant-chic type), the cuisine is very tasty. The products are fresh, high quality, imported from Italy, the ingredients carefully chosen and prepared. The prices are quite reasonable for Montana. We had a very nice evening there and we will come back. We love this place. However, it is better to book a few days in advance: it is regularly full, which is normal and deserved.

Great staff, pricey water though. Had the hamburger which had great Italian melted cheese. It is conveniently located in the Center of Crans-Montana near the Montana lift to Les Violettes.

We only came for the flambés in the Meule de Parmesan. They offered us the foie gras tagliatelle. I don't eat foie gras. I asked them to remove the foie gras but that was apparently not possible. They weren't even able to offer us an alternative. It's really a shame. I would have gone elsewhere. Correct Italian restaurant. Nothing special.

The homemade ravioli that fought a duel on my plate. Very good but the price was way too expensive for the meager portion served. I left hungry and despite having informed the waitresses as soon as I received the dish, there was no reaction. A waitress even told me curtly that the portions will not change for the next customers. Damage. I was disappointed with the visit and the reaction of the staff.

Already been several times, it was good in the past although much too expensive for pasta despite the fact that it is Crans Montana. Today, mixed salad for 8.- for three leaves and two cherry tomatoes, then spaghetti vongole, much too salty! And sorry but it's Italian cuisine so generosity should be the watchword... 28.- the plate to still be hungry! My wife had gnocchi, they were very good but once again without any generosity, too bad the setting is nice but given the health situation and the lack of customers the least we could do would be to fill the plate. To end on a good note the server was very nice!

The burger and fries are pretty good but no sauce in the burger which was odd. Prices are ok. 2 burgers and 2 beers for 59 CHF

Maravilloso restaurante en el centro de Montana. Excelente cocina, elaborada principalmente con productos locales. Precios muy razonables. Personal de calidad que marca la diferencia. Este restaurante es propiedad de la panadería local Taillens, que es una casa de primera calidad, desde hace muchas décadas.

Simply the best on the Haut Plateau !

Mientras que la anfitriona y el resto del personal eran agradables, el camarero no era amable. Éramos varias personas y nadie estaba particularmente impresionado con sus opciones de hamburguesas y pasta. Seco, sin sabor excepcional. El pescado era una gran porción, mientras que el curry de quinua vegano era pequeño. No volverá.

Terrace ok. Service ok: very helpful and diligent. Meal: pasta cooked in a wheel of parmesan: excellent! Then prawns: not seasoned enough, any garnishes Dessert: raspberries and vanilla ice cream. Just okay. Left a little disappointed.

Wir konnten auf der Terrasse sitzen und die Abendsonne geniessen. Service war freundlich und das Essen sehr lecker! Ravioli Caprese und Scialatielli Amalfitana kosteten je CHF 26.- und es wurde noch frischer Parmesan darüber gerieben. Gerne wieder!

Das Abendessen war sehr sehr lecker und die Bedienung ebenso. Das Essen ist etwas aussergewöhnliches und eine tolle Reise in die Italienische Küche im Wallis.
