Le Flacon in Carouge (GE)

We were in this restaurant in November 2022 when it still had a Michelin star. We had very high expectations and unfortunately, we came away really disappointed. The service was terrible: the table was not ready when we arrived and we were placed at a very poorly positioned table next to the stairs, with the toilet and the area where the waiters cut the bread to the left. In short, an additional table to increase the place settings each evening. It's a shame because the place is cute. We had ordered wine which arrived 5 minutes after the first main course had already been served. Honestly, this is unacceptable in a restaurant with a Michelin star. The food was good but no dish really made us say wow or stuck with us even after a year and a half. I feel sorry for them but I'm not surprised they lost their star.

Good gourmet restaurant without frills, but with efficient and friendly service. Very good dish and beautiful wine cellar.

Probably normal for Swiss conditions. I felt that more than 40 francs/euro for a well-main course was overpriced.

Very good discovery, we went there with my boyfriend to celebrate our 1 year together. It was a delightful experience in every sense of the word. Impeccable welcome, daring cuisine and wise advice. Attention to small details, elaborate dishes and, in short, an exceptional evening! The only downside is the brightness, which I find a little too strong to have a perfect atmosphere. Otherwise you can have complete confidence this is a high quality establishment!

Our dinner Saturday evening at Flacon: The place is very pleasant, the service friendly and efficient. We were seated in front of the kitchen and were able to enjoy a symphony perfectly orchestrated by the Chef and his brigade. All the plates are beautifully presented, creative, made with seasonal products. The tastes are frank and bold. A small downside however on the duck which lacked tenderness. The desserts are very well balanced and delicious. The wine list offers a fine selection of French and Geneva wineries. We will gladly come back. Thanks for this beautiful discovery.

Always lovely to dine there, but last night was exceptional. Current menu is outstanding, many compliments to the chef, it was great. Service is always lovely, and the vine choices were spot on. Try mushrooms entree with biodynamic vine :)

For the second time I ate in this place. As with the first time, the service is excellent. We all took the “drunk” menu. A small flaw, not enough choice of wines.

Very disappointed and shocked to see that the foie gras sold to take away by Le Flacon is frozen foie gras even though the restaurant makes no mention of it. It is illegal: article 18 al. 2 of the Ordinance on the labeling and advertising of foodstuffs.

It becomes addictive. Always as succulent, refined cuisine, an explosion of flavors, the presentation, each time you come a new experience and an incredible taste journey. Everything is remarkable, the chef's cuisine, the atmosphere and the staff. Thank you because this is very pleasant. I come back soon. Happy holidays to everyone.

Perfect first in the bottle! Absolutely perfect 7 course menu. Tasty and subtle, the dishes are presented in an elegant and modern way. Impeccable, professional and accommodating service. Located on the edge of old Carouge, the restaurant is carefully fitted out and tastefully decorated, the “showcase” cuisine contributes to this beautiful atmosphere. I hope to return there soon.

We got 3 courses menu. The starter was great, the main dish was fish with combination of raw and cooked vegetables were good. The portion was small but Ok. We got 2 kind of wines and I liked both of them. The bread was hard and cold without butter. We booked 4 days ago, the restaurant was not full but I didn’t understand why they gave us the table which is far from the others! When I entered nobody took my coat! In overall my expectation was higher than that.

A real taste pleasure, great cuisine!

Delicious, attentive waiters who make sure to serve us personalized dishes (my lover doesn't like chocolate desserts so they served him an incredible fruit tart). The waiter heard our comment about a rum and offered a glass of that rum at the end. Quality, caring service. Delicious, surprising cuisine with a play around each flavor and the little sauce that accompanies each dish gives the right note to the dish. I recommend.

Probably one of the worst michelin experience. Got the 5 course menu - portions are very small, lack creativity and skill in the creation and plating, tastes bland and imbalanced for a few dishes that emphasises on contrasting flavours. Wine menu is limited too. There’s no dedicated receptionist or sommelier. All in all a disappointing experience.

Picked the 5 course menu. As a Michelin 1 star restaurant, the dishes lack creativity and structure. Novel technique was used in most dishes, the combination of ingredients are not a good marriage. Service was good overall.

I closed my eyes in bliss savoring the homard with the fresh flavor of the sea, melting in the mouth, tempered by the moody bisque… it’s been a while I closed my eyes from taste buds awakened pleasure, last time it was at the Hôtel de Ville in Crissier. Followed by a delightful flavor explosion of ACE carrot, coriander and orange…. What a beautiful find!

I have already been there twice but this time, I arrive in a place of this type and it stinks of fish, I take the 5-course menu and after the hake it is no longer possible to eat a stomach ache, my meal and my evening ended there! In short, very disappointed with this experience and I would not return there anytime soon...

I had a 5 course set menu for lunch and love it. It would have been great if the main course was bigger. But I still give 5 for the food. The service was quick and the waiter was very friendly. I will definitely go back soon.

This was our first experience of a restaurant with a Michelin star and we are extremely pleased. We ordered the seven course menu and every single one of them was amazing. We especially liked the first course - tomato ice cream and smoked ricotta. Then the strawberry tartare is something special. The prices for wine were reasonable. I highly recommend it, it was really cool.

We went to Flacon for my husband's birthday and had the chance to eat at the chef's table. Great experience being able to see the brigade at work. The 5-course discovery meal is delicious. I'm usually a very picky eater, and here I was, I devoured all my plates. The tastes are refined and surprising. I would like to thank them for the candle on the dessert as well as the free coffee. To be done again with pleasure.

An exceptional meal in April 2023 at the Le Flacon restaurant, for a friend's birthday. The welcome and service were impeccable, the kindness and attention of the servers made the experience unique. The tastes are subtle and balanced, a real treat. We even enjoyed eating dishes that we wouldn't normally enjoy. Special mention for the fish (perfect cooking and lemon condiment which spices everything up, a joy!).

Lots of care and flavors in the dishes offered. They are presented in a neat way and are also a feast for the eyes. The service is very attentive. We had a lovely time!

Absolutely earth shattering food to be experienced here. We spent the whole time making bizarre sounds like we were getting a massage, it was that good. The presentation is already a win but the flavors and textures is what really blew me away. The knife went through the steak like it was a slice of brie and the prawns tasted like they were just caught this afternoon. The puree was so unreasonably fluffy, the waiter brought us a second helping when he saw the joy in our eyes. Everything has attention to detail and a unique taste. My biggest compliments to the chef as we watched her prepare everything in awe through the open kitchen.

Delicious moment down to the finest details. We opted for the Flacon menu, with exquisite and refined flavors, a real treat. What research on the part of the chef, remarkable! Our young waiter accompanied us with great sensitivity and professionalism, advising us on very good wines and even a great Swiss discovery. What can we say about the setting, with these beautiful bay windows bringing the kitchen to life right up to our tables!

Very good restaurant. The dishes were delicious. Only downside: the first wine tasted was not good. The waiter offered us another bottle, specifying that it was a little more expensive. It would have been more honest to warn us that it cost 40.- more than the first, or 120.-. The difference is significant.

Had the 5-course “Le Flacon” tasting menu during our last visit in November 2023 and, as always, it was a perfectly executed: beautiful ingredients, beautifully cooked and beautifully plated. A whole lot of beautiful! Add attentive staff, a pleasant interior and a lovely wine list and you’ll understand why Le Flacon remains a firm 1 Michelin star favorite.

Food was good and restaurant cozy. Service was mediocre for a Michelin starred restaurant: a waiter poured the wrong sauce on my main course and spilled three times the wine on the table. Pricing was ok.

What talent this young chef is! 2 starters, 2 main courses and a dessert. Everything was perfect, the cooking and the sauces were just magnificent. The list of conventional and natural wines, well done! My only comment would be to work a little harder on the appetizers to match the rest.

Succulent restaurant. We came unexpectedly with my partner, the service was attentive, worthy of a 5 star. We had the 5-course menu, refined dishes, and staff who were not only very professional but also very friendly. The value for money was very good, I recommend this restaurant for the finesse of its dishes and its service which lived up to our expectations.

I went at 13:20 on 9-8-22 by myself, the restaurant had free tables inside and outside and its closing time is 2:00 p.m. They must not have liked my appearance because they refused to serve me, they even told me to go to other restaurants later. Actually I wanted to go to this one specifically on the recommendation of a friend who is a client. I usually visit the best restaurants on my trips. It wasn't pleasant and I really wanted to check out their wine and food list.
