Le Perron in Genève

The bread before the meal got wet and went bad.

We decided to celebrate our 1st year anniversary there and it was the best decision ever!!! Not only super creamy and tasty fondue for my husband but they even made a vegetarian version of their poached eggs which I hope the include in the menu as it was almost as good as the fondue!! Also the side salad has a vinagreta so tasty that I'll try to copy it at home - Thx guys!! Hope to see you next year!!

Stopping in for an early dinner at Le Perron was a delightful experience. The Perch fillet, beef steak, fish soup, and creme brulee were all exceptionally tasty, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients used. What stood out beyond the delicious food was the impeccable service provided by the waitress, who not only spoke good English but also demonstrated thoughtfulness throughout the meal. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience at Le Perron, and I would highly recommend it to others.

Decent service. A fondue for 2 really for 2 👍. It's a shame that choosing bland bread prevents us from enjoying a fondue with a strong garlic taste.

First time here and it was such a nice surprise. The meat and fries were the best we've had in Geneva (maybe even in all of Switzerland)! I would definitely return and recommend to friends.

I tried my first ever cheese fondue and it was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxing. I worked as a waiter for couple year and my waitress (Marine) gave the best service. She went beyond my expectations. She was friendly, caring and really knowledgeable!

A quaint little restaurant that serves traditional Swiss food. We shared the cheese fondue with mushrooms and it was phenomenal. Great flavours. The service was lovely.

Friendly, good food and very good service

There are plenty of places with fondue in Geneva, and each one has its own atmosphere. I chose this one when two of the most recommended were not only fully booked (I recommend looking into that before going for a dinner) but also not really interested in accommodating more customers. And I was not disappointed. Perron is a small restaurant, offering all of your traditional foods, with a heated garden and great service/waitstaff. Food is very good and reasonably (for Geneva) priced. Next time I'll go straight there for my meal. If you're looking for a fondue experience, you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic restaurant serving amazing fondue and delicious desserts. We had the fondue Bacchus and I highly recommend it, fantastic! The staff were friendly and attentive, and we were able to enjoy a relaxing meal.

Very good food, beautiful setting, good atmosphere but a little too expensive. The waitress was very, very friendly and kind, very attentive to our needs (water, bread, etc.) she deserves a raise.

Very rude business owner, grumpy and disrespectful. Who would loudly drop cutleries on the table without even looking at the guests? If you don’t plan spending big $$, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

Good fondue, but we were served and opened new bottles of wine without first asking or advising. Without telling us anything, they discreetly removed the second empty bottle and took out a third at the counter. Luckily, I stopped them before they opened it, but they still insisted on leaving this new bottle next to the table. This type of service is unacceptable and feels like a scam. Since we were quite young customers, I imagine they wanted to defraud us and hope we would ignore it. Very unfortunate since apart from that it was a good experience.

Lovely location, very warm welcome and service. We had a very good fondue and a very good dessert to share. (Slightly high price)

Wanted to try some fondue and found this restaurant. All staff are very sweet, friendly, and attentive from the beginning until the end. I wish I could have fondue Bacchus, but it is for 2 people. Maybe next time😘 So I had classic cheese fondue and beef tartar, which were so gooood. Even small pumpkin soup before the dining was so delicious😊 Really enjoyed my first meal in Geneva.

The service was very very long, a fondue is not very complicated to make... the fondue tastes more like alcohol than cheese..., as a starter I had octopus and I never had tasted such a rubbery octopus in my life. For the atmosphere I thought it was going to be nice but the waiting time dissuaded me.

A cozy spot in the old town for a nice dinner. We didn’t want anything too fancy and wanted to try some fondue so I found this on Google. We ordered the classic fondue with a plate of dried meat for dipping (and it came with bread). Really tasty! And service was very quick without feeling rushed. We left an hour after our reservation started.

I tried the local fish dish. It was really good and the tartare sauce that comes with the fish is superb. They also have a nice dessert menu.

Delicious food, cozy surroundings and the service was fantastic. In the summer when the temperatures are a little bit warmer, the outside terrace would be nice to try out.

My favorite restaurant in Geneva is this one. Super nice to eat outside on the terrace under this tree in all seasons! The dishes are excellent… the staff is very welcoming and the service impeccable. Go for it without hesitation 😍

Food perfect, but the service was second to none. Very friendly and very welcoming. They spoke English which was helpful as after a glass of wine, my none existent french turned into Spanish! Which they also spoke perfectly.

Incredible restaurant and a must visit for anyone coming to Geneva. The fondue bacchus was spectacular and different than anything we’ve tried before. The entire meal was amazing and the service was even better (thank you Antony!!). We were the last ones there and they catered to us until the very end. Highly recommend!

Exceptionally beautiful restaurant in the old town of Geneva, great ambience, with exceptionally delicious Swiss food and deserts. We were served by a new waiter, I forgot to ask his name, he was so polite, friendly and with great sense of humour, offering great suggestions on food, drinks and deserts. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant well located and full of charm With one of the most beautiful shaded terraces in Geneva 1 call 1 quick reservation and the trick was done in 5 minutes we were welcomed and placed and all that with a smile How nice! The waiter was very professional, attentive, responsive, smiling, which is rare in Geneva. A worthy midday meal I strongly recommend it to you Besides, I would probably go back there more often

Do not go with children, they are not welcome! We arrived with our little ones and they invited us to leave because when sitting down, my little one fell and pushed the chair towards the neighboring table. In the end we stayed, but under threat that they would stay quiet so as not to disturb... The food is good, but nothing stands out. The meat is very hard, melted correctly. Unpleasant service at the beginning, although the waiters were correct later.

During the summer the place is at a beautiful and romantic location in a square under a huge platanus. I would expect a touristic grab but the staff were very kind and the fondue was very tasty. The prices were very good especially for geneva standards and you definitely get what you pay for.

We ate in this restaurant, when we were waiting for someone to direct us to the table; the boss asked us if we looked at the prices of the cards??? For what ? Can't we pay? Finally we had dinner in this restaurant, frankly the price does not match the quality of the dishes. Ultimately the boss was right, the price of the menu did not match the quality of the dishes. Too bad, too bad. It's a tourist trap. Thanks to fork (irony of course)

We had fondue with mushrooms and Thai noodles. I went there to get fondue…it was average . The Thai noodles was very sweet and wasn’t all that great. The service was very slow . Waited for 15 mins to get the check. This made us delayed us from getting back to the hotel before the rain started .

Hidden oasis in the middle of the city

A great, very pleasant place with a good atmosphere. However, the order taking process is a little long and the beef tartare dish is too spicy, which spoils the meat a little.

Le Perron serves delectable Swiss cuisine, and I adore the restaurateur's passion for the establishment. The food is prepared with love and top-notch ingredients, making each meal a perfect delight.

I'm using my boyfriend's account to write a review on the Perron where I ate a few days ago with friends. I find the setting pleasant and the servers friendly. We encountered a few small problems however… My dish of rice noodles, vegetables and shrimp was very tasty overall, but one shrimp tasted bad and another tasted questionable. I crossed my fingers that it would pass, but the next day I had some digestive problems. A friend, who was also there that evening, had a tarte tatin which he could not eat because it tasted like onions according to him. He informed the waiter who brought the tart back to the kitchen and was kind enough to offer my friend a coffee in exchange. But he was still billed for the tarte tatin. On the other hand, I who never eat sugar after a salty meal, I had to have a dessert this time because the portions were not very big and I was still hungry after my meal. One of my friends who was with us that evening also didn't quite eat her fill. This is really unfortunate, because the food is relatively expensive in this restaurant. A little more generosity on quantities would be welcome. Ultimately, the service was a little long. To summarize, I find the value for money of this restaurant somewhat disappointing.

Very friendly staff, Antony our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. The manager welcomed us and was helpful with recommending items on the menu. The elegant ambiance to the impeccable service and exquisite flavors, dining at this resraurant was a culinary delight that left us craving for more. A must-visit for food enthusiasts!

A mixed experience at the Peron: warm welcome and sumptuous setting, but disappointing food and long service I recently visited the Le Peron restaurant in Geneva, attracted by the praise for its warm welcome and attentive service. Although the welcome lived up to my expectations, I must admit that the culinary experience was rather mixed. As soon as I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere that reigns in this establishment. The staff was smiling, professional and always ready to meet my needs. Their friendliness helped create a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. However, I was disappointed by the slow service. The dishes took a considerable amount of time to arrive at my table, which made the wait somewhat frustrating. While I understand that preparing food can be time consuming, I would have appreciated better communication from the staff to avoid unnecessary frustration. As for the cuisine, I found the dishes quite disappointing. The flavors lacked depth and the dishes lacked finesse. The plates were presented in a neat manner, but unfortunately this was not enough to make up for the lack of flavor. I felt like the dishes lacked creativity and passion, which was a disappointment considering the praise I had heard before. Luckily, the setting was one of the highlights of this experience. The shaded terrace offered a very pleasant freshness, creating a pleasant atmosphere conducive to relaxation. It was a great place to enjoy lunch, which partly made up for the disappointments with the food. In conclusion, although the Le Peron restaurant in Geneva enjoys a warm welcome and attentive service, the dining experience fell short of my expectations. Slow service and average food quality tarnished my overall experience. Nevertheless, the magnificent setting of their shaded terrace remains an undeniable asset.

We really enjoyed the dinner. Fondue was great and a reasonable portion for 4. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Luck had it that the weather was nice for us and sitting outside watching people go by just added to the enjoyable atmosphere.

Went here and tried to order a fondue and they turned us away even though because apparently you can’t order 1 dish even though I had already said I’ll order the fondue then see how we go to order more. Absolutely awful service and incredibly rude.

I came here a couple of times, food was always amazing and well presented, but charging 11 chf for a bottle of still water is a disgrace. I don't mind paying high street price when the food they serve is up to the standards of quality you'd expect, but charging 10x the price of a bottle I can buy at a supermarket is just pure greed.

The Horrible staff was drunk and incredibly rude. Had to take our order twice. I would not come back.

"The service clearly leaves something to be desired. The waitresses, cigarettes in their mouths, display total contempt towards the customers. Their only objective seems to be to sell, without any consideration for the culinary experience. Having border staff can be a good thing, but they should be taught that the customers in Switzerland are not the same as in France. Furthermore, the hygiene of the toilets leaves something to be desired. The prices in no way correspond to the tempting promises of the card. The perch fillets, supposedly three fillets, are actually frozen and too salty. The food is just frozen preheated meals, nothing fresh. This so-called French restaurant offers flavorless frozen food. The meat is bland and the whole experience is just disappointing and unacceptable. I do not recommend this establishment in any way. Owners should seriously rethink their attitude towards customers and invest in quality cuisine, because what they currently offer is far from up to par. Avoid this place if you're looking for a nice, authentic dining experience.

The food is delicious. O God, praise and thanks be to you. I ordered fish, chicken, and salad, all of which were very delicious. The french fries were delicious. Handling is excellent. You can reserve a table and walk by and find a place.

A small point less for the waitress who removed the fondue dish a little too quickly (while we were still helping ourselves), before finally returning with the nun. But for the rest it was a very good time. The staff is very welcoming and the fondues were very popular.

Very good cuisine. Decent service. On the other hand, very disappointed to have been placed on the first floor. Three tables literally placed in front of the toilet doors. Strong smell of cleaning products every time a customer enters and leaves the toilet.
