Very average. Atmosphere stuffy, extremely slow service (we sat down at 7:45, received our first dish at 9:30 and finished desert at 11:30) ! The food was generally fine but one of our party had the misfortune to order the vegetarian dish which was insipid and tasted of watered down soup. To top it off there were three glaring errors on the bill which would have overcharged us by 100 francs. A candle would have been nice for the birthday cake. At least the waiting staff were nice. A shame for an establishment which promises so highly.

I booked a table for 2 people, among the restaurant choices in the Michelin guide in the area I was captured by the revalorized context, a historical place reconditioned and valorised. The food, we ordered a menu with 3 entrees, main course, cheese and dessert. Limited wine selection, food cooked and presented to perfection, service to be judged...I was invited several times to add wine to the wine. The chef also very friendly owner, he showed us the kitchen! Selection of truly special cheeses...desserts without any "wow". A port or cherry was asked for and it wasn't even known to exist. Good experience!

Disappointed with the quality-price ratio of the brewery. I expected more work in the dishes for a Michelin and Gault et Millau establishment… We never had bread even though it was served on the other tables. In addition, the prices of drinks (especially wine) are really way too high. In short, neither excellent nor bad but for half the price of the bill, you can have the same quality in a “standard” restaurant.

Despite the attention paid to details, we regret the poor quality-price ratio on the brewery side. Little creativity in the dishes, minimalist quantities and the price of wine is inexplicably too high (on average bottles sold 8-10chf above the prices of other establishments offering the same quality of cuisine). The icing on the cake that almost choked us: delicious chocolate cake for the modest sum of 22chf?!? Certainly very good but we were expecting an exceptional or other creative chocolate that could justify this exorbitant price. Damage!

My friend and I spontaneously visited les Atelier in Vevey. The restaurant is located behind the train station in an industrial hall. It is airy, simple and modernly furnished but still cozy. Despite my rather mediocre school-level French, communication worked well. Everyone was very friendly and tried to give us a nice evening. The dishes were all very good, without any big frills and fresh, just really very good and the price-performance ratio was right. We once had meat and fish, which was a daily recommendation and almost knocked my friend off his chair, it was that good. The crème brulee was also an absolute poem. At the end we also had a short and very nice conversation with the hostess, who was very happy to be able to speak a little German again. We would simply like to thank you for an all-round successful evening.

Overall we were hardly satisfied! There were several moments that were inadequate for a restaurant that placed itself in this range. I have had better experiences elsewhere for the same price and even with more dishes. I was served sparkling water in my still water, had to insist that the water be exchanged. My glass of water was thrown away and I simply lost that amount of water from a paid bottle. I shouldn't pay for a staff mistake. The service was of random quality depending on the 3 different servers. They presented the bottle behind our backs and then went to open it on the console next to us, their backs turned. The wines were not recommended. The service was long. The meat sauce was bland, it was an olive oil cooking juice. Frankly, too simple and ineffective in terms of flavors. Our table of 8 took the surprise menu, in any case it would have been impossible to know what fantastic season we were in. Because in spring, from April to Easter, there is something to enjoy a little more in terms of flavors. Winter is over!!! Positive points: tasty chopped pollack, tender red meat, excellent sorbets, very successful chocolate cake, pretty bay windows, very warm welcome, we note the kindness of the staff

Big disappointment After checking all the reviews in the web, there were huge expectations, taking into account, that famous Les Ateliers freshly got Michelin star. But the anniversary weekend brought only negative experience. As soon as the doors of the restaurant at 18:30, we were the first to come, but not the first to be served. Staff doesn’t really speak English or German, after telling them for the whole evening that we don’t drink alcohol (in French!), we were still ignorantly being 4 times asked if we want wine. The menu unfortunately exists only in French (we are not in France, at least German menu should be existing!). Also the water was never put in our glasses (except first time), we had to do it ourselves. We made order at around 19:00. The first course came after 10 mins, which was great and very tasty. But as soon more and more people were coming, we were getting more and more forgotten. The female restaurant manager was paying a lot of attention to people who came to get a restaurant experience and not brasserie (like we), but we were firstly very confused, since we didn’t know that tables are mixed. So you can imagine how weird it was, that some tables get a lot of attention from all the staff and we sit in the middle like outsiders. Not the best feeling at all. There is no music and everyone sit close to each other, so it was like bazaar of everyone talking loudly. At ca. 19:25 the starters were finished and cleared from table, but for main course we needed to wait until, more than an hour, untill 20:30. When we received one of the main courses, a smoked salmon with toasts (cold), for what did they need so much time?? Funny enough when the female restaurant manager came in the end (just because we asked for the bill) to ask about our experience and after seeing her communicating so well with Restaurant guests - we kindly and friendly shared that we needed to wait so long, to what followed cold response “we have too many guests”. No apologize, no interest…nothing. So unfortunately, nothing more than a huge disappointment and negative emotions. NEVER AGAIN. And why they mix restaurant and brasserie and most importantly why they have received Michelin star?????

We nevertheless regret the very long wait, the cold, even elitist welcome (we were asked to put our jackets in the cloakroom because they did not go with the aesthetics of the place) and the overpriced prices! (a standard soft dish for 22 fr, a plate of salmon where there wasn't much on the plate - my wife actually asked if there was a side dish given the smallness of the dish - for 38 fr, and the price on addition of the bottle of wine did not correspond to the price on the menu!).

The expectations were very high, given the glowing reviews. However we were quite disappointed. The service was very slow ( it took 30 minutes before we were able to order). For a starter, main and dessert, it took a total of 3.5 hours. The food is classic, very delicately flavored (in fact some food did not taste much). There was a new waiter, so we give that credit, but he was not trained at all. There was an ambiance of panic and stress in the air. Our first waiter left us in the middle of his chat and so did the host. We had a lot to talk about so we did not mind the wait that much. Many details are disappointing: the madeleine with the coffee was dry and not fresh. The amuse-gueule at the start was some dice of tomato bread, which was also dry. There were very few non alcoholic drink options. I had made a reservation mentioning one of us is vegetarian and that it was also his birthday, but there was no mention about it. The confusion over the choice between bistrot style and mystery menu was frankly annoying. The small talk with the host was awkward and borderline dismissive. There is zero creativity in the food. I am surprised about the Michelin star.

It was a mixed experience. Some nice aspects and some bad details. The waiting time after being seated at the table is unbelievably long. Almost 30 min. The team is not prepared to answer to your questions regarding the menu. They don’t speak English well and for every question you ask they have to ask back in the kitchen and return with no actual helping answers or solutions. On the other side he food is decent, subtle, sometimes a bit dull and overall nothing surprising. Creativity is not their strongest asset. The Maitre is a bit dismissive. As a conclusion, eating at Les Ateliers was pleasant, but nothing special, and actually I don’t get how they have been awarded a Michelin Star. I don’t think it’s a deserved star. It was a very forgettable culinary experience.

Very disappointed last night, Almost 45 minutes of waiting between the 3rd starter and the main course and when we questioned the owner she told us that there were a lot of people...a table of 10 super noisy people, we couldn't even hear the servers announcing the dishes to us. For such a high price we still expect to spend a peaceful time there and not the impression of being in a school canteen refectory!!! At this point it is necessary to separate the brasserie from the gastro space. For the trouble not even a free coffee😡Very commercial thank you👌🏽Never again!

The Chef's mastery is still as significant and remarkable. A perfect poultry cooking, a delicious wild turbot too. The sweet treats and desserts are also made with care, and we are always delighted when the Chef comes to say hello at the table with his smile and good humor. In addition, the setting is sumptuously contemporary and "rare" for this type of establishment, as are the serving dishes which are always magnificent. Two slight downsides on the other hand, a somewhat ordinary and predictable foie gras with slightly overcooked bread served with it, and above all, serve an open wine, in a pitcher, without even presenting the bottle before serving it. Unfortunate and surprising error for a restaurant of this register. That won't stop us from going back.

I invited a friend to this address which was recommended to me, and unfortunately it was a fairly ordinary evening. The food was good, nothing more, having chosen the surprise menu with 3 starters, we expected various dishes with varied flavors. Certainly the quality of the food was there, but I didn't find these dishes out of the ordinary, no risks taken. Having frequented many famous addresses, and comparing them with this restaurant, I am almost disappointed. The positive points : - an excellent cheese platter - attentive and attentive staff - a very welcoming setting The negative points: - an interminable wait (two people entered at 8:15 p.m. and left at 11:40 p.m., long waits between each course) - food as mentioned above that is relatively ordinary - a price that is a tad expensive for what is there.

Anyone who reads our reviews knows that we often go to gourmet restaurants. ;-) During our visit, the staff felt a bit at their limit. But the service was friendly at all times - despite the stress that was unfortunately noticeable for the guest. The dishes were well coordinated and tasty. Roughly in line with the reviews (16 Gault Millau, 1 Michelin star). We would go there again, even if we missed the real wow effects on the plate, in the service or in the wine accompaniment.

I think the building will be a love it or hate it. We were seated just inside the entrance, the walls are white, floors are polished concrete and it felt like sitting in the hall of a University. So I can't say I'm a fan. The ingredients are good quality but very little is done to elevate them. The starter and main were served on lukewarm plates resulting in cold food half way through eating. Dessert was an apple crumble on level with what you would expect in a coffee shop. Considering the price I should not be writing these things. Just up the hill you can find À la Demi-Lune which has better service, more intersting food, better wine and prices. In other words better in every way. I would recommend going there instead.

The restaurant is located in the historical building - a former train station, the interior impresses. But when it comes to food and service everything is very average. We had a starter, main course and even tried the dessert, but nothing impressed us at all. Der Service ist nicht eingespielt. Das Konzept zwischen Brasserie und Gourmet Restaurant unklar. Preise hoch für den angebotenen Service und Atmosphäre kühl und unpersönlich. Leicht miefiger Geruch. Wir würden bei all den guten Optionen nicht mehr wiederkommen, auch wenn das Essen eigentlich gut ist.

Après une grande déception culinaire avec un des meilleurs endroits de la région. Nous avons en dernière minute obtenu une table avec un service avancé sur l’horaire habituel et un engagement de libérer la table pour 20:20. Quelle modèle de flexibilité ! Et quel accueil, quelle ponctualité, et tout ceci sans rien laisser sur la performance culinaire, visuelle et le service. Tout a été géré à la perfection. La cuisine est au top et le service aux grand soins. Un incontournable de le région.On y reviendra pour se focaliser sur l’essentiel : partager un bon moment de qualité avec des amoureux du bien accueillir. BRAVO à toute l’équipe, le COVID vous a rendu encore plus fort. Amitiés Barbara et Patrick (des amis d’Olivier).

"Les Ateliers" hat uns begeistert, von A - Z. Hervorragende Speisen aus hochwertigen Produkten, innovative Zusammenstellungen, wunderbar präsentiert, freundlicher und unaufdringlicher Service, ästhetisch gestalteter, schlichter Rahmen (ohne die obligate nichtssagende Hintergrundmusik, – eine Wohltat) inszeniert in der umgenutzten Fabrikhalle. Da kann man nur gratulieren und hoffen, dass der Stern von Michelin nicht allzu lange auf sich warten lässt!

Je ne connaissais pas leur ancien restaurant mais celui là ma conquis. Rapport qualité prix raisonnable sur la carte "brasserie". Accueil ssympathique et professionnel. J'irai tester le menu gastronomique. Bravo!

Magnifique restaurant au décor moderne et épuré. Un service attentionné et un repas excellent.Menu 3 entrées, plat, fromages et dessert sous forme de menu surprise concocté par le chef, un vrai délice.Très belle carte des vins accompagné d'un conseil avisé et pointu.Découvert cette table pour la première mais on la recommande à tous les épicuriens exigeants.Merci et on reviendra

Ce n’est pas ma première visite et mon témoignage ne va pas changer.Ce restaurant est un endroit vraiment sympa. L’endroit est magnifique..imaginez un restaurant dans les vieux ateliers mécaniques de Vevey.Le menu était très bon. Les mets sont toujours à la hauteur.Merci pur ce très bon moment !

the place is beautiful, the food the same as the previous restaurant: nice and classical. I could have liked a little renewal and maybe some innovation but there is a time for everything. Perfect if you want to eat good food with no surprises. The owners are as usual friendly and so nice.

Quelle jolie rénovation de cette friche industrielle transformée en restaurant moderne,confortable, aéré et très branchéCuisine toujours égale à celle que le chef offrait, il y a peu, lorsqu'il était étoilé à l'Auberge de la Veveyse. Donc vous ne risquez que de bonnes surprises et il serait injuste que la distinction ne suive pas très rapidement le changement d'adresse. Jolie proposition mixte entre la carte brasserie comportant des classiques (Tête de veau fondante, escargots aux pleurotes, rognons de veau moutarde..) revisités pour les offrir en version moderne et allégée et une carte restaurant, plus sophistiquée et se présentant sous la forme de menus "surprise" à prix serrés. Peut être une séparation plus claire entre les deux options, au niveau de la salle, serait elle bienvenue de même que quelques orientations sur le contenu de la surprise. Ajoutez y une patronne souriante, très professionnelle et attentive à vos moindres désirs, une jolie carte des vins éclectiques et un plat/menu du jour du côté brasserie et vous n'aurez aucune excuse à ne pas vous y rendre très vite. Situation parfaite, juste face à la gare de Vevey si vous vous laissez tenter par les jolis flacons et ne voulez pas reprendre le volant.

Ich habe gemischte Kritiken über dieses Restaurant gehört, aber leider war unser Besuch mit 2 von 3 Hauptgerichten sehr enttäuschend. Garnelengerichte waren eine einfache Kokosmilchsauce und Gemüse, ich habe zuhause besser gekocht und das Kalbfleisch meiner Frau war sehr fettig. Das Steak meiner Söhne war sehr gut. Insgesamt war das Essen überteuert, der Schwerpunkt scheint auf dem Überraschungsmenü zu liegen, wobei das Büstenhaltermenü eine schlechte Beziehung hat. Leider werden wir nicht zurück sein, da uns nichts inspiriert hat, gewöhnlicher Service, sehr gewöhnliches Essen. Viel bessere Restaurants in Vevey zur Auswahl

A brasserie in a 4* hotel, a brasserie with a nice interior where the old and the modern are present. Nice place, top-notch cuisine and service. It's worth the detour and the visit.
