L’escale in Estavayer

Very good, good food and good service, nice little terrace in the old town of Estavayer 🤗

We ordered two salads, a large one with tuna and a small simple one, both were delicious. The service is fast, tables both inside and outside. The bread did not seem to be the freshest, but it was not critical. The prices are good

The salad was subpar, supermarket dressing on a few lettuce leaves that were no longer completely green... I would say 6 Swiss francs is outrageous for that. The croûte aux champignons was ok, but it's just 1 piece of bread with some mushroom ragout on it.

Old but decent bar. You won't find a menu with prices, but these are affordable. 3.9CH for a coffee with milk and 4.2CH for a tea. The waiter is dry but determined. They have wifi that works very well.

Beautiful place - wonderful terrace to drink a Spritz. The staff is friendly and I recommend the vol-au-vent, tartare or fondue. A very nice boss. Not to be missed in Estavayer!

The best vol-au-vents in town. The staff is always smiling and welcoming. The boss is very friendly. It's really a place where we enjoy stopping.

It's best not to go here: nasty old salad with disgusting cheap dressing, totally overpriced and absolutely disgraceful management. If you want to see horror, go there. Never again!!!
